GRENINJA ex : Beat the Best Decks In Format With This FROSLASS Combination (TWILIGHT MASQUERADE)

- GRENINJA ex has 2 amazing attacks. For just one energy, "Shinobi Blade" hits for 170 damage and lets you search your deck for any one card. And it's second attack "Mirage Barrage" can hit 2 targets for 120 damage each. Although Greninja ex cannot one hit knock out most high-HP pokemon, FROSLASS really helps to weaken your targets by passively dealing damage counters to pokemon with abilities on them. This is one of the better combo for Greninja ex, in my opinion.
(This build was designed for 2024 STANDARD format Regulation Cards "F" through "TWM" Expansion)

I love froslass it really puts a countdown in your opponents and helps a lot in the snorlax matchup
Snorlax players has been using attackers in their builds recently to counter Froslass.

I tried, but it's hard to power up the 2 water energies.
Wonder how well this would do with a poison dark deck with the new mushroom that deals 50 damage per damage counter on pokemon..... It does take three energy though and thats the only problem
Don’t know if you saw it but you had game in the gardevoir with boss garde and shinobi blade killing it for 2 as well as the manaphy and the kirlia.

So I took another Frosslass Spread deck and then came upon the greninja-lass deck and tried to merge them together. Rocking the Froslass, Hisuian Braviary and Greninja.
Hisuian Braviary could actually be a great inclusion. 🤔
What do you think of swapping collapsed stadium with temple os sinnoh? Thinking about how much Lugia/Archeops are there right now :/
You don't want temple of Sinnoh because the Double Turbo energy will be affected.
Hi i have a question related to Pokémon tcg, is the item card professor’s letter from XY banned in the tcg, cause it easily searches 2 energies, better than energy search and earthen vessel, so why is no one using professor’s letter?
Good question. Those cards are from old expansion sets, you can use them when you play casually with your friends. But in competitions though, the only legal cards you can use are within certain specific sets only (mostly modern sets released within the past 3 years). This is what is called the "Standard" format. I mostly showcase builds that use only cards in the "Standard" format. You can look into other formats though, where you may be able to use older cards like in the "Gym Leader Challenge" or "Expanded" format. I hope this sort of answers your question. 😅

Really fun deck, but it needs a switch card or two. Bloodmoon Ursaluna getting stuck in the active to start is almost a guaranteed loss.

the turn before enemy greninja died. you could have won right? just used your greninja to use the 120 to each of the ogerpon. got 4 prizes then on enemy turn their greninja dies and you win?

Missed lethal at 22:05... If you bossed up the Gardivoir and then evolved to greninja and attacked you would have taken 4 prizes with manaphy and Kirlia also dying to froslass.

@@_CasuallyUncasualPKM why "no" then? you're literally agreeing with him. the damage is reduced. the video said it's not. he said the video is incorrect.
@@_CasuallyUncasualPKM also, talk to the judges again if you have any doubts, because the damage is not done before discarding. it's simply that the damage calculation happens when you announce the attack, so even if the energy is discarded before (which it is) it'll still deal less damage even with DTE already in the discard pile.

Which is the best card/deck according to you in the current Format?
Honestly, I'm still trying to figure that out for myself. There's so many strong decks in the format right now. Dragapult ex is good, I think Raging Bolt/Ogerpon is getting better, and Gardevoir ex is good too.

You had game in game 2 if you didn't stuff around, you were killing the kirlia, the manaphy, all you had to do was candy into ninja, attach, boss up garde and you take 4 prizes to win..
I did. But I didn't see the sequence of that attack during the game.

Greninja should be doing 100 with DTE live is just bugged. Damage is calculated first before discarding energies
I think the sequence is that you discard the energy first, THEN do the 120 damage to 2 targets. It's always better to check with a judge if playing competitively.
@@PopsicleKnightI've seen a lot of dispute on thos online. There's an extensive reddit post the other day. The general consensus is the dmg is supposed to be calculated first, so 9t would be 100, which would mean live is bugged if that's true. I've been unable to find any sort of official statement on it, and ruling from tournaments this far.

All the Greninja EX decks utilize other mons for their utility bonuses
