- Today we finish up all the required jobs to get the Ecotec Miata ready for its first start. We make and run new PTFE fuel lines, relocate the EVAP to the trunk, install the intake manifold, sort the PCV, and even add an oil catch can. It's finally the moment of truth ... so why won't it start?

Did you consider removing the fuel pump assembly when cutting the barbs? Probably would've been safer and easier, and less chance of metal filings falling down the holes.

Now that you say it, that seems so obvious! Initially I wanted to use a tube cutter on those ports but there wasn't enough clearance, I even thought about bending them but didn't want to risk breaking. I hope that fuel filter does it's job 🤞

After receiving a couple no name eBay an fitting kits, I honestly Believe brand name kits are a waste of money, beyond anything actually made in the USA. They are all coming out of the same factories in China and Taiwan and the quantity is pretty good
