Just a friendly suggestion to sand the paint off the frame where you bolted the ground straps in the trunk/boot. I too did a lot of electrical and sound system work in my Miata and doing that really helped the current flow. Nice job with the wiring overall.
I considered that but noticed that the factory ground straps aren't bare metal. What did you do to prevent rust?
Not at all unusual for factory straps to be connected to painted sections. I just sanded the paint in the section under the ring connector, tightened it firmly and coated it with dielectric grease to seal out moisture.
That's a really neat install of your pedal set up (very professional!!). Did you come up with all the bracketry mods? Very novel. It looks OEM.

The Ecotec Miata instructions has a couple pics of pics that describe the result. Since my buddy was welding it anyways I bend and ground the brackets to maximize the spots to run a bead. And a little flat black hides the flaws nicely! Thanks for the support!
Hey man, I am no engineer. Should you throw some rubber washers on the ECU mount just to cut down on vibrations shaking the electronics apart. Just a thought love your videos FYI. You have a great energy I really enjoy.
Initially I figured it's ok since GM bolts it to the firewall ... but they don't have solid motor mounts. So now that you mention it perhaps some anti-vibration is a good idea. Thx!
@mostlyuselessgarage I learned my lesson the hard way on an aluminum radiator that I mounted without rubber grommets to isolate it.
