I recently bought a second hand one of this model and thoroughly enjoyed your video. I am interested to know whether you managed to fit a second leisure battery and where / how? Yesterday I visited my dealer and asked about it. He said that it was problematic to fit it in the long cupboard in the garage because after you put the battery into one of the boxes that he says are necessary it becomes too high to go in. I suspect with a little ingenuity a different box could be made to fit, or perhaps line the cupboard... His suggested solution was to put it in the garage behind the present battery, but I want to avoid that. Liked your DIY table!

Hi guys, loving the content and the both of you, really enjoying your adventures. We're looking for a motorhome and just starting out, what made you go for a 6m van? I note a 3.5kg weight limit for standard driver's license, but am looking for as much space as possible under this limit. A few vans come in at around 7.5m so wondered what your reasons were for 6m?

We wanted something we could take down most roads, get parked easy .. .. ish and be reasonable on fuel. Ours is also a narrow profile. If you are happy driving something bigger then go for it, you'll be glad of the extra comfort. Ours is a bit cramped sometimes especially if you are away in colder times of the year when there's no outside living. Thanks for watching, hope you get sorted :)

@@KissisAdventures thanks again guys. Yes I have pondered a hire, although I'm reasonably confident as used to tow a 29ft tourer caravan so have some experience. Nightmare when I ignored the road closed signs (as you do) and had to turn around 🤣, parking not particular easy without a motor mover too! The MH has dual purpose, emergency 'home' and travel. Thinking UK summer pitch to provide a base and Spain 4 months a year for warmth as parks generally close (if redundancy etc, tough times during a recession too). Any other advice more than welcome. @@doglifehub We bought a 7.5 Rapido and full timed in it around 20 plus countries in Europe for over a year. I was a bit nervous at first but very quickly got the detentions of it. In my opinion it’s the minimum and perfect size for full timing and many nights we spent in supermarket car parks here and there. Even being able to stop at Aldi etc to grab our supplies on the way to a campground was great. Anything smaller for full timing would be a real challenge I think. Good luck so jealous that you’re doing that because it was the best time of my life and will do it again… in Australia now 🙂

@@doglifehub just a few things I’d mention on passing from my experience… I’m guessing you guys are in the UK or Ireland as you mentioned Tesco. If you’re going to spend most of your time in Europe I’d absolutely buy a left-hand drive van. Also, we read lots on forums with lots of handy tips about security etc, like leaving a battery radio on in the van if we were gone out etc. Also we were always so careful where we wild camped (Norway anywhere Eastern Europe nowhere) For full-timing I’m glad we decided on a fixed bed for a more homely feel instead of having to pack a bed away every morning. Also glad we insisted on a separate shower instead of a shower-toilet together as this is just so impractical for full timers. Anyway I could talk about it all night lol. Hope you get round to Australia one day it’s a special place. 🙂
