    We bought a swift 310 ,6 metre model in 2018 .Rear bathroom without the drop down bed.We love the layout,storage and compact size.We hate the build quality and the heart ache trying to get it repaired ,two years now and still not fixed.We will never buy from Swift ever again.

    6m end washroomwith a drop down bed is a cracking format for urban touring, Goes and parks everywhere but big enough for those days where you are rained off and stuck inside..

      Was looking at this layout myself but didn't go ahead for those reasons mentioned above. Went for an AutoTrail impala 615 which is 6.34m so not much difference in the footprint only it has an over can bed and two singles, with a separate shower cubicle to the bathroom.

    Following the NEC show we have just traded in our V Line 600 for a 2017 Chausson Flash 530 on a Ford chassis. Will miss the big openings and storage but NOT making the bed up every night with hubs and I dancing around bedding, cushions, dog crate and a pair of barking mad Italian Greyhounds! We love the Ford, the space, the proper shower room, the wardrobe, garage (of sorts) and extra seat belts to secure the hounds. Thanks for the Swift review which has reminded me that our habitation door is now on the ‘wrong’ side for the UK but it’s a small price to pay and isn’t choosing a van a lesson in compromise? 🤔👍🏼☺️

    Some of the larger Motor homes have side panels that slide out when parked.
    Would there be a way of incorporating that feature into these smaller vans to increase living space?
    And when will designers start making the roof a large solar panel?

Considered the second van, the 205, but bed was very narrow for a double and I agree the cooker was so so close to bedding! Garage was great though!

    • @dcurleyifa
      @dcurleyifa Před 4 lety

      Wandering Bird Motorhome Adventures looking at the table most people would get fed up of bending over doing food prep and having to block access to the rest of the habitation space. I really think the designers never actually use a motorhome. I know all designs are a compromise but the basics of food, rest and sleep should be well designed first then sort out shoilet, cupboards etc. How many people can actually use all the garage space uni most of these vans without going overweight ?

  • @Ifyoudonttakeitucantfakeit

    Problem with first van is where does the insomniac go when someone’s in drop down bed?
    Great idea but totally impractical. Our Rapido 600ff is on 3rd owner after 3 years as this design doesn’t work.
    Second van is better if you like making beds up.
    Finish looks better than previously. As the bishop said to the actress “ another 8” makes all the difference” you can have a fixed bed in a 6.8 m van.
