I would suggest plugging in the new mirror and make sure it works before you install it and replace the bolts and cover. Saves time if you happen to get a faulty new mirror. Also use an extension on the socket for the bolt when installing. Some masking tape to hold the bolt in the socket also keeps it from falling down inside the door panel giving you a headache.

My ford focus has the door torx screw missing. Does anyone know where to source? Is this something I can get at a hardware shop?
Do you happen to know if the mirror motors can be interchangeable. Having a hard time finding a blue mirror for our car. Plenty of other colors

The color shouldn’t make a difference in the performance of the mirror. It just won’t match. I’ve seen a red mirror on a silver car. It looked hideous, but the mirror worked.
I need to replace the passenger side door to my daughters 2007 Ford Focus. What years of Focus' will the door match? Or do I need to specifically search for a 2007 ford focus?
