DO NOT DROP THE BOLT DOWN THE HOLE IN THE DOOR. Cover the hole with tape as you work. Use that magnet like his and preferably a fresh one. Don't get cocky. You will drop the bolt down the hole in the door hahaha.

Great info. Any better mirror for that car? I mean with turning lights, shining color, etc... i don't like my original mirrors. Can't find any possible adaption. Any ideas?

I just replaced my driver's side mirror for a 2006 Ford Focus but I forgot to put back that little rubber gasket on the power cord ! Is that going to be ok ? (Caveat...I had a neighbor help me with this procedure !)
what about for just the glass
My mirror has the same electric knob but how do i tell if its a heated mirror. Should the mirror itself be imprinted on the actual glass to tell the difference

Lowes and I believe Home Depot have several stacks of drawers in the fastener aisle for specialty screws, washers, and automotive and they have the screws there.
How to just replace the mirror and not just the whole cover, since this is painted with the color of the car?
