As a Knicks fan here, Brunson is absolutely under 0 pressure, he literally "can do no wrong" in our eyes as fans, I am dead serious when I say I expect him to drop 30+ per game, playoff or not because he's that guy, the best guard in the East easily, however if we were to exit first round, no Knick fan is going to point their finger to Brunson, he's the biggest reason we finished 2nd in the regular season anyway.
I bet you're right. I live out in Seattle so there's no real team that I root for (I do kinda root for OKC a little bit). I mostly root for individual players I like. I was a Brunson fan since that Mavs run a couple years back, but I became a massive fan this year. I love watching him play. If the Knicks get knocked out early that's only because weird stuff happened in the standings/seedings this year. Whatever. Brunson is that guy, and next year is gonna be such a better year for the Knicks.
Absolutely he kept this team alive and elevated us. As a Knick fan we actually have a team to believe in again and JB made that possible starting with his play last post season
Not to mention the fact he’s stated he doesn’t feel pressure, either way. He understands he’s got skills & he’s confident in his abilities.

Weather its heat or sixers. 2 Wins is the least win i expect them to have. 6 or 7 games series. I just trust their chemistry.

jalen took the knicks to the second round last yearr averaging 28/6/5 with an injured randle, an injured quickley and nobody could shoot the ball except for brunson. he has receipts in dallas to, he is an 1A in the playoffs

Didnt Jalen go to conference finals, I know he wasnt the guy. But Luka missed like 2 games in first round which brunson was amazing in... so to say jalen hasnt gone deep in the playoffs is a bit misleading

Greeny saying "what is he, 6'1?" is such a casual take it's insane. Brunson has been overlooked in this exact way for his whole career and for a supposed analyst on ESPN to say this is absurd. Brunson has literally had a run to the conference finals where he had to step in for an injured Luka and last year lost to the team that made the finals. He's more than capable of carrying this team deep, especially with no RJ Barrett or Julius Randle actively working against him
Julius doesn't work against him. Him and Jalen were one of the top 5 scoring duos in the NBA before the injury.
Imagine telling someone 3 years ago that Jalen Brunson is under more pressure than Luca doncic to lead a team to victory all while not even having another all star on said team 😂, oh and everyone has been calling the Mavs the favorites against the clippers btw but somehow also have less pressure to win 🧐
because luka kills teams under pressure...he plays best on pressure. Same as kawhi those players are just anomaly.that's why no one talk about their creditability.

Greeny…Brunson got to the wcf with Dallas and got the Knicks to the second round last year with a hobbled Randle and horrible shooting. This year he’s got at least two guys that can step up and make baskets.
I actually think Tatum is the most pressured here. His team has been consistently good and they always make it to the playoffs but always lose in crucial times.

I feel like Brunson under a different kind of pressure than the others. Brunson under pressure to produce; however, if he doesn't accomplish the mission, nobody is going to be looking at him like he failed. People still will be impressed by the player he's become and the season he has had. In contrast, all the others on the list will be looked at as failures if they don't get it done.
I totally agree. Julius Randle is out. Everyone expects the Knicks to try to make big moves this off-season. Nobody is gonna complain if the Knicks get knocked out by the 76ers, because in some ways, the Knicks season is already a success. And Brunson's individual season is a HUGE success. People are rightfully talking about him as a top-5 MVP candidate--no one was predicting that pre-season.

I don’t think the Bucks got worse under Doc. They’re better defensively, and have had a much harder schedule compared to the first half of the year. Still pressure on him though
@@AnthonyMercado-1988 I don’t think it’s fair to judge based on the record, because of that strength of schedule difference. The defense was terrible under Griffin like you said, and no one knew what they were doing. They were very unorganized, and they would have had no chance in the playoffs without a defense. The offense dropped a bit under Doc, but the defense improved enough to make them a better overall team. They at least don’t look completely lost anymore.
What about kawhi? Ive heard a lot about how playoff kawhi is best in the league 'when healthy'. Lets see if hes held accountable this season when luka and kyrie take care of business

As a knicks fan, Brunson has no pressure on him at all. My brothers have you forgoten where we were a few years ago. We are the two seed in the East. JB is the reason. Lets sit back and enjoy the ride, he has no pressure at all but yet I think he'll still deliver!
I dont think brunson should be under much pressure. I think they've exceeded expectations this year, especially with the injuries. They should just go have fun, play hard and see how far they go. Been a cool story this year

To me what matters for the players is performing and translating to the playoffs, winning and losing is more of a team thing, you can’t control your teammates on the floor. Brunson has translated in the postseason the last two times he was there.
