Absolutely beautiful country, the Velvet Worm blew me away , I could have just watched it walk with those chubby little legs for ever 😂👍🏻I’m not a snake person but you showed some very beautiful ones. Thank you so much for taking me on this journey with you as I would never have been able to see just how beautiful this country really is. Never realized that frogs could be so beautiful and yet deadly. I have never in my 78 years seen so many animals. Have a safe journey home. 😍❤️👍🏻👏🏼👵🏻🇺🇸

Everyone kept falling down the hills 😂i’m so amazed by all of the lizards and geckos and snakes there. and I am not a big fan of spiders there just scary to me
If I ever get there I know what company to use! These videos are some of my favorite! Love seeing the pure joy of guys are feeling. Really enjoy that I can watch each of the channels (yours, WWR, etc.) and see things from a different view. Wonderfully thought out gentlemen! Thank you All so very much for sharing!!

Man you guys found some really cool stuff there. Next year I'll spend more time on the Caribbean side. I've spent lots of time touring CR and there's much better herping on that side.
Thanks so much man! Yes, I would agree. From my limited experience it felt like there were way more animals to see on the Caribbean side but the ones on the pacific side, were pretty unique and harder to stumble across.

Great episode! So many crazy lizards. That beautiful skink, and the basilisk that literally was just chilling there letting you do your thing. That velvet worm was basically a Pokemon, lol. Must be such a surreal experience. Very happy for you guys!

Favs so far: glass frogs, dart frogs, and the tailless whip scorpion…. But I have yet to see the basilisk! (?) Question: how did you all decide who would do the intro to each of the species found, to show in their own video? Rock Paper Scissors? Lol What did you say was the name of that lil skink that had tons of colour, green body orange tail? Shaped like a Schneider’s or fire skink? Soooo pretty, the body reminds me of the red eyed (leaf) frog body’s patterns I’m torn, I could sit here and watch you explore Costa Rica all in one sitting, but having another video experience to look forward to is fun too 😊😉

Costa Rican and Quebecoise are best friends since they both love the outdoors. Perhaps it's a stereotype but I have a friend from Quebec who's a hardcore mountaineer. I'm gonna tell her about Costa Rica since she's never been there. I bet she will love the nature and all its beauty.

You def should, you'll love it! Haha the bullet ants aren't really out to get you but you just have to be a bit cautious where you are stepping and placing your hands for sure!
Your hike in the jungle at night is my personal version of hell. I can think of nothing more scary than to be walking around in a rain forest at night with everything under your feet being alive and wanting to bite you. No thank you.😖
It WAS a slug eating snake!!! I love those things so much. I’m a skinny arboreal snake guy. Keep your fat blood python type snakes. I’ll take little skinny arboreals over those big fatties every time.
Here in Costa Rica we are told from a very young age to avoid, kill, and inspect vegetables for slugs, and to soak it in chlorinated water if found any on it, since they carry deadly bacteria, I wonder if that slug eatting snub nosed vine looking snake, carry the same bacteria in its gut, feces, or skin, thus making it infectious for us humans and also felines, as I understand one of these deadly bacteria life stages requires it spending some time inside a cat's intestines.
@@Reptiliatus always wash your hands after playing in the jungle. you don't wanna get back to canada and suddenly feel the urge of hanging down from grass leaves because some bacterium is manipulating your dome just like a Power Ranger inside those robotic dinosaurs.
16:23 North American sees 4 way intersection with no lights: "pretty sure we will see somebody die" What do you think traffic signs are for?? There's a STOP sign clearly visible on the other side. What other traffic sign is an octagon?
I think you misunderstood where we were coming from. It wasn’t the system, it was the actions. People weren’t obeying the signage and our guide told us there’s often accidents there because people just want to rush and come out on the main road.
@@Reptiliatus ah ok. the only comment in the video was about lack of traffic light. Still no one would die with the speeds they driving. Unless there are no working air bags and didn't use safety belts
