You learn by watching. A lot of people are saying, "Where's the guitar lesson?" There's all kinds of guitar lessons. When I was a teen I would go see bands play and I always considered it a "guitar lesson." I always learned by watching and then going home and doing what I seen. Ted clearly played many of his riffs in this video so you can learn them. There were so many lessons wrapped up in this home video. The biggest one was perhaps to stay away from drugs. I went to my first Nugent concert in 1980 at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago. It was awesome. Def Leppard opened for them with their first album "On through the Night." I learned so much from Ted, even though I never had a private lesson with him. There was no You Tube back then. I never owned a Ted Nugent music book, but I still learned his riffs from listening to the records. Use your eyes and ears.

I got to watch Ted Nugent play live daily from about 6 to 8 ft away every day, and yes, I stole a lot of his likes. Nugent grew up about 1 mile from our house ... He was our local Guitar Hero...❤❤❤. He actually let me fondle out one of his Gibson Byrdland guitars.
In all seriousness, he is truly a guitar innovator. He was playing hard rockin riffs on a type of guitar that was never intended to make those sounds, and NOBODY else was doing this back in the 70's. And he's a f#cking rock star because of it. He also is the first gives props to the R&B innovators that influenced his playing.
Alex Lifeson played an ES-335 and ES-355 from '71 to present day, though he stopped using them exclusively during the Permanent Waves era, and they were put away on hiatus from the Grace Under Pressure tour until the Vapor Trails tour, at least from the stage. From Vapor Trails to today, it's been on every tour.

I LOVE TED NUGENT. ONE OF THE BEST GUITARISTS EVER. HE IS CRAZY SMART MADMAN! TED IS ROCK N ROLL ATTITUDE. SEEN HIM MANY TIMES LIVE, ALWAYS KICKS ASS.
... And let me add one more to the below list Ted's rock and roll attributes: GUNS. At the end of his concert I saw in August, Ted and his band mates all held up their AR-15's high and proud. Almost brought a tear to my fuckin' eye. What a beautiful sight! If I'd been allowed to bring my AR to the show, I would have held it up right along with them. God bless America!
