  • A few months back we got rules for the Blacktalons box which contained 5 unique characters from the Warhammer+ cartoon. We’ve just seen a preview of a Darkoath group from the Hammer and Bolter episode Monsters, and we’ve just got rules for the Callis & Toll models from another episode of the same show.
This time though we’ve got the rules for Warcry before the models came out!

Valius is a beast. I'm looking forward to blending this crew with Hexbanes... Probably dump the doggos and make a nice gunline.. Very cool looking witch hunter crew on the table

Well I picked up a box of Neave’s Blacktalons for Warcry so maybe I’ll get this box too 😸

Will there ever be a gryph-hound worth taking? You make a good case for him but I just don't ever see myself taking one. I have trouble fitting them in.

It's an okay fighter, but not good. With Fortitude blessing, you have the stats of a Gryph Hound for 5 point less. But the Gryph Hound has a good triple, while this has not. I would rather take the two dogs from Hexbane for objectives.

The archetype of fast beast over 100 points will probably always struggle. They aren't chaff and they aren't chunky, They have to be weak somewhere since they're fast, so that's either easy to kill or don't do much damage. The Balthus statline probably could work if it better gelled into warband's abilities, but that is not that today.
