Many thanks again to Micha for the great lap and the fantastic driving skills.
And sorry for the people that I didn't speak that much, but it's because my English isn't that good, forgive me hehe.
Also sorry for the chewing gum in the video, it was a busy day for me and I was a little nervous, maybe Micha can edit the video and make my face unrecognizable 🤣
Thank you so much for the lap AND your donation! Like I said, this was a pretty much perfect S2000!
@@mgcharoudinThank you again, I really appreciate it 🙏🏼
I got tourettes syndrome too🥰
It’s ok man, it didn’t bother me, your S2K is perfect .
Hi Ivo, is your suspension KW clubsport?
No overheating, no beeps , no warning lights, no batteries, no safe modes JUST N/A HONDA!
(Edited the "N/A" part to account for K20C1's shortcomings)
i remember you that a stock civic fl5 overheated to 150º
@@albertomiragil850 it wasnt stock
And of course just behind of all the other cars axaxaxaxaxa just honda
*Old high revving Hondas, the new turbo civics are heavy and have overheating issues.
The 2020 Civic R's were overheating, stock.
Why is it so hard to bring this man a decently built S2000 on decent tires 😩
This is exactly what I was going to comment and one with a square setup...
@@PrepaidKarma i mean the S2000 was a nice car, nice seats and steering and i like the Spoon wheels etc. but would be cool to see a track tuned one with serious tires and a bit aero (like hardtop and flat underbody)
He drove my mates k24 s2000 on ar1s last year👍
exactly, a proper figured out track prepped S2000 would be a great vid and a proper representation of what this platform is capable of when fine tuned for the track. We know from the Best Motoring videos that it's one of the most capable FR platforms out of Japan, particularly it's handling and grip.
Lol
Misha and Honda, there is no better love story 😂
Mish and his Wife😎
@@ghuldorgreysus
If only other car manufacturers still made 8,000+ rpm screamer motors besides porsche 😥
High revving engines were made for a reason - to extract more power. You don't need that simply anymore as turbos are so advanced today and it wasn't ever easy and cost effective to design high rpm engine..
Actually 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 redlines at 8,600 rpm
@@skrypkaduh. But the problem is that makes lazy, low rpm engines that all sound the same. The experience of a high rpm NA engine is so much better in a driver’s car.
You have a rx7 as your pfp and you’re saying this 😂
Ford makes the Shelby GT350 that goes up to 8250
What a synchro of spedometer and distance at 6:35 🙂
You know it’s a good day when Misha full sends a vtec Honda round the Nurburgring 🤩👏
Misha should add one item to his pre-lap checklist; clean the windshield of every car he drives.
The owners should clean it as Misha is doing his walk around and narration of the cars.
Bro those r rock chips
My bad. Thanks, bro! I love this channel!@@Zzombie_666
there was a brief period when these were relatively affordable, dang
I bought a stock 2005 with 36k miles in 2014 for 20.5k out the door. Can’t find one for prices like that anymore
I can sell my hardtop and keep the car to get all my money back 😅😅😅
You’re not missing much. Most overrated Honda ever.
@@TML34 hmm, someone couldn’t afford an S2k and is mad about it
@@hellatightdude 😡
17" with a 255 sqaure setup is the play on these, with a semi aggresive track alignment its truly amazing on the track! Highly recommend!
But all wheels with the same size ?.
255/40/17 back and 225/40/17 front its perfect !!@@mdev8846
@mdev8846 yes 255 all around
You shouldn't need 255 square at this weight and power level. Just adding mass and drag at that point.
I'd rather 225 and a bit of movement on the limit, where the fun lies.
Square american brain.... Thinner front wheel help you to put the car where you want while wider rears give you more traction to exit the corners faster
I have an M3 CS ‘24 and an Honda S2000 AP1 ‘00.. stock and very low milage. This is my second s2k and I’m still in love with this car. Well, the M3 is a great car, but nothing makes me so happy like the S2k. You cannot find a car with 170000 kM that revs consistently to 9000 rpm
The number of pro drivers crashing s2000 is sizeable. He brought it home. Control is legit
You seemed extremely comfortable in this thing. Clean lines and crisp shifts, no fumbling.. Seems like a really capable car for its power to weight
Honda Boys are always on Top! 😏🔥
😏😏
That Scirocco was mental fast though. oO
Those 16" looks dope! I'm sick of seeing skinny tire strips on the wheels.
Agreed
I'm planning to get the OG 16" Spoons for mine with beefy tyres
I just prefer the look, also more comfy on street
I think there is a brand called Rota that as a model called Slipstream that are just like those ones, very cool wheels.
I agree, you need tyres with stiff sidewalls not big heavy wheels with no tyre sidewall to address the issue.
I own 3 sets of 16 Oem Enkei 😅
@@paulocardoso3142 Those Rota are a replica of Spoon
Made totally different
Original Spoon were forged in Russia then in USA
The s2000 actually had faster cornering speeds than the NSX type S when they were both new being tested on the ring. I really think they are such a perfect car in all forms for the ultimate driving experience, especially on track. And that’s why I’m glad I own one myself and will be bringing mine to the ring next year 👌
Not this one. I am very surprised those Bmw passed him in the technical section. Those tires are not the right thing or he didn't trusted the car enough
That’s a pretty good speed at the top speed portion. I’ve seen alot more powerful cars only hit 30 more kmh. Impressive.
When the s2000 came out, Was my favorite for some time ❤
After owning an s2000 I honestly feel the chassis is great, the only mods other than suspension would be to add a supercharger. Just a bit more torque and a bit more power (nothing crazy, just 300 -350) and it would be the perfect track car.
Like "Engineering Explained" with his yellow Honda S2000?
If you’re not familiar m check him out. He put a Supercharger some years ago on it. Selling it on "Cars and Bids" (in double t-shirt guy’s voice) as we speak.
@AK-du4kd that was a Miata
@@AK-du4kdthat's an mx-5
This is exactly what I am doing. I will put a HKS Supercharger on it this year. Shooting for around 350hp. Should a good balance
Congratulations to one million subscribers ❣️👏🏼👌🏼
I'm glad for you ❕😊
Love from Berlin,
Ramsi 😘
That gum never had a chance 🤣. I would be nervous as the passage too, especially in a snappy s2000.
Best comment. 😂
Love the sound of the s2k ❤️
Love your videos. Can I suggest putting a 360 cam up high to see a top down view as you pass people periodically I think it would add value.
Yes finally! Looking forward to this one Misha. If you ever visit SoCal, I’ve got a Honda S2000 CR for you to check out!
With the F20c engine, you just have to be in a lower gear and always in vtec. Both F20c and F22 are equally as fast with equal setup.
Congratulations misha for your first million subscribers, wish you many more 💯💯💯💯🔝🔝🔝🔝thank you for the amazing videos🔝🔝🔝💯
we love misha great skills!!
This is honestly what misha should build for a honda.. the s2k is just such a great car all around
what a symphony
What a lap, amazing car!!
For me one of the best cars ever made ! With the right tune and the right mods this is a complete weapon 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Honda Prelude Type S 🙂
@@MrJeepCanadaPrelude, for certain one of the best looking Hondas, but you can't compare the driving feel to an S2K with the extra weight it carries.
Prelude type s weight: 2,890 lbs
S2000 weight: 2822-2864 lbs

Super slow though
I agree but I'm old school. I grew up during the prelude era just a big fan. @@CheezeCracker

I love the Honda ,and the driving skills are super .💯💪
1:15 IT DOES HAVE ABS!!! 😂😂😂😂
Honda S2k. Loooved em. Very nice car. We have the Fa20 here in Aus and that vtec technology is just awesome. Took me 6 years to find the petrol popper though.
We need more s2000’s for misha to drive!
Like the driving skill dude
Very nice lap! This one defintely is driving better, although still needs to rev to make power. I think the actual torque difference between the two is only an extra 5 lb-ft.
Not a word was spoken.... but that gave me the chance to listen to that engine sing. Only... that stuff dangling on the mirror would have driven me crazy!
S2000❤...excellent lap.💯.
F20C does actually have decent torque for a naturally aspirated 2.0, more than 100 Nm/l .
S2000s are heavy for what they are, though. They go up to 1380 kg stock, which is 355 kg heavier than a 2.0 ND!
If those are real Spoon wheels, those are under 6 kg each, that would help with acceleration too!
I'd rather go for a tire with a stiffer side wall.
In 205/55R16 you could go for an Advan A052.
Yes exactly these are real Spoon Sw388 wheels the old Version "Made in Russia"
This car is running the later F22C1 engine.
The S2000 is such a cool car. Definitely on the top of my list to maybe own one day
My first ever car was a 1994 Honda Prelude with an F22A in it. Man the engine sound of this take me back 🫠
F22A is very different from F22C . I own F20A and F20C . The de stroked versions of those two.
I had a 92 si as well but with the jdm h22a motor. Great motor. F22 came out of the accord and was pretty pedestrian.
my man very calm 😂. in 220 kmh bro chewing something.
nice ride misha 🤗
6:35 well that was satisfying!
same tires (ps4 not ps4s!) like the previous stock one but seems more stable this time maybe from better suspension setup! you really need to find one with 17/18'' trackday wheel tire combo, coilovers, shorter final drive and some basic tuning (intake, exhaust, ecu, track allignment) you will love it.
There are many good S2000 in Germany, but those drivers don’t want to bring him their cars :(
Thick tires fit fine! Great driving! Wish if my GT86 had such a great engine
GT86 is not bad. Has more torque. It can rev to 8000rpm.
Thanks for the content! Would be cool if you would post lap times 😊
You should make videos on lessons on how to correct oversteering, loss of traction etc!
Gearbox is maybe little too short. Probably because 8300 red line. Great car.
The 2.47L Brian Crower stroker kit is the most amazing thing you can do on a S2000.
The casual pass back of the camera 🤣
Misha, you love vtec, and we love vtec sound
This rev limiter on the back window lookin crazy
Misha mate I think 💭 it’s time for your Honda build already !!! 😜👍🇦🇺
He said there's a major announcement coming! Maybe he considers Hondas bigger than GT3s. 🤣
I'm a VW guy (Mk4 R32 turbo and MK6 Golf R) but my father has an AP2 (F22) S2000. Neat to know your thoughts of it with some tire and suspension mods. Wonder why it was soft with KW's? Maybe just not set up right in terms of rebound and compression settings on the coils. Thanks for sharing the lap!
225 on rear, jeez. I had a stock ‘00 S2000 years ago but had the AP2 wheels, 255 rear 225 front staggered. Always wanted to go squared but she handled like a freaking dream.
I love the look of the Spoon 16s, and I always wondered if the move to 17 actually made the car handle better, or if big donk rims were just fashionable. My NC Miata comes with 17s, and with the stock tire, they frankly look too big with not enough sidewall. There are 16s available for my car, going to AP1 sizes, but it's been hard to find reliable information on what this change actually does. I think this video finally decided for me that 17s with 225/45s square is the way to go.
I drove 17s for 7 years and I couldn't see much difference, of course I didn't drive on Track only in normal traffic, that would be the cause for not feel the difference.
There is an old Japanese comparison video of stock 16 vs stock 17 on S2000 and the 17's were faster across the board. A lightweight forged 17 is the right wheel for the S2000
Yeah I won't go as far to say it's a given fact that the 17s are faster but most of the shops I've spoken to who campaign s2000s run a 17 square setup. Which is why I made the switch to 17x9 with 255s all the way around. My personal impression is that the car feels more agile. The loss of grip may be a bit more sudden when driving on the edge as opposed to a softer taller sidewall on a 16 but the rigidity from the 17 setup feels more precise. It feels as though there is less slop. This is just my personal opinion though. And making the switch has dropped my times by a good second or two in certain sectors.
Either way the car is just a blast to drive. It makes you want to push the car to extract more performance. Which honestly I think the driver feels is lacking a little bit with modern performance cars. Akin to you having to be hyper focused while driving whereas modern cars it feels like you are kind of along for the ride. Hopefully that makes sense. 👍
When my dad was in college , he got himself an MG-B vert and loved it ( orange , chrome package , black interior ) . when he graduated and moved back home, the wheels got stolen 3x and the 3rd time, the insurance company made him sell the car because they didn't want to deal with it anymore. i guess the old spoke wheels at the time were almost the cost of 1/2 the price of the car once they were brought over from europe and had tires mounted . when the 2000 S2k was coming out he said it was the closest thing to having the MG back . didn't like the benz or porsche offerings . he got on the list to buy one in 98 ant took delivery i think september 99 . and was the 14th person to get one in the US . he sold it in 2006/7 . one of few cars we had in the family that we regret selling.
Nice lap, shame about the tire/wheel setup.
Are you still working on getting an EK/EG Misha?
Will you be sharing the build on the channel (if you choose to go that route)?
perfect footwork!
I love this car 👌👏🏁
Mischa what tire pressure pump do you use to check and adjust the pressure.
Love your Videos btw.
The Honda S 2000 is still the coolest sport car. Honda made. 👍
The best N/A engine
That's what many AP2 owners have been saying for years. Though Honda has built plenty of great NA engines over time.
I think if jimmy messing abit with the brake bias on that 1 particular unsettled corner, he could be 2tenth faster 😝
Cheers mate..loving to see this battle...🎉
oh so in for this one!
Pensavo fosse piu potente la s2000.
Resta sempre e comunque un cimelio di auto.
Top.
0:22 *Pilot Sport 4 - not the 4S
Would be interesting to know whether he is using the USDM ECU or the EUDM one.
I've heard there are people running the EU AP1 ECU on the F22 to push the 2.2L towards 9k redline.
Fours ha
four esses is what you say but alright@@mgcharoudin
is this guy running a AP1 dashboard?? looks like the redline is at 9k
@niikon I use the F22C ECU.
In the beginning I used the F20C ECU for a short time, it revs up to 9000rpm without any problems, but in the long run you risk engine damage.
But many people in the USA constantly drive around with the combination 🤷
@@Nebbia_affaraccimieiyes it's the ap1 Dashboard
Beautiful weather at The Ring. Misha, do you safety check these cars?
Nice s2000 not a too loud exhaust you get still hear the engine something about the simplicity of a N/A no warning light or overheating
Thank you very much.
That's true, even though it's a single exhaust system.
You know a car is good when Misha looks bored driving it. No warnings, no wheel wheel noises, no bottoming out.
Cool, it was nice to get your impressions of the F22C1 engine. Did the owner happen to say why he swapped out the AP1 engine for the AP2 engine?
Since the original F20C engine had engine damage, an F22C year 2004 came in.
You really notice the difference, especially in the lower range, unfortunately it doesn't rev up to 9000rpm but you don't notice that soo much.
For me personally the F22C runs better, but I also have a few mods like exhaust and intake.
@@Ivo-S2000 Great story. I did a double take when I saw the title of this video. I wonder how that 2004 AP2 car wound up over there. Are you running the AP2 transmission as well?
@@VirtualGuth i running a Ap1 Transmission with a Ap1 Differential.
I Heard thats the best Combination, and an Ap2 transmission should be very good for the F20C.

Nice video
Nice and clean lap, but did it scratch on both carussels?
Seems to have more torque on uphill section, and Misha's facial expression on the carousel were funny. 😂😂
Definitely could have 17-inch wheels & opt for even better tires!
17” & especially tires with a stiff side wall will transform the steering. Also with stiffer suspension the car needs increase in body rigidity imo
what in 16 is better on a daily or track than pilot sport 4's other than a 4s?
@@mrbawkbegawks the michelins have softer sidewalls (they are still good tires) a Yokohama AD08R (now AD09) for example was a great tire forthe S and you could daily it, just didn't have the same level of wet grip as the Michelin. I had the Michelin Pilot Super Sport on the S, the michelin is a good choice but if you are more focused on track then a stiffer sidewall is recommended.
Le pilote à un bon rapport poids puissance. Pas trop gros, d'énormes burnes. Parfait. Bonne synchro avec la machine... Qui n'est pas une golf 🤣
from personal experience I think that a sidewall height (rim to contact surface) of 11cm is good for comfort and 9cm is good for performance.
am I right or completely wrong?
この時代のVTECは、上まで回せるのがいいですね♪
So the US cars had a reflection of the rev counter in the rear window??! Nice.... 😉 Another badass lap BTW thanks Misha!!
No it's just a sticker I guess.
think i re-watched Bergwerk about 5 times. Just nailed it
Man I want a S2K so bad
How many cars have the revcounter on the rear window? 😂
Always great driving ,not a surprise though.
Spoon wheels are great light alloys only not for this car too small, would love to stick those spoon wheels on my crz
i want to see more s2000s : >
I was about to complain about the short shifting but... F22C1 I see.
Good to see a proper wheel/Tyre size combo for the age of the car instead of ‘look at me I’m a wanker’ 18 or 19” wheels.
Honda just announced a 5.0L vtec v8 for a marine engine.. how long before that makes it's way to this?
Sound and video a lil bit un-syncronized? Good lap, nice car 👍
And a Full Tank.... Not bad!

Yes the Diff is Stock
S2K's are just soooo nice 👌

He drove by friend dans k24 S2000 last year on ar1s have a look
I'm very surprised someone went to the trouble of swapping in a larger engine, but didn't use 17" wheels. There are some excellent videos done in Japan comparing stock 16" to stock 17" wheels and the 17 were faster and felt better.
Misha I noticed the footcam seems to die a painful death on many of these laps lately haha! Its your show but if I could make a recommendation - instead of foot cam, use it for rear view cam so we can see the cars that are chasing. Great video as always.
No way, I'm mostly watching his amazing foot work when going into corners. Trying to learn something but my feet are too clumsy.
Both would be great but the footcam often dies so id rather have the rear view then nothing.@@tomiheinonen460
