- In this video I take my 2000 GMC Sonoma SLS and start the process of turning it into an S10 Xtreme. GMC Sonoma to Chevy s10 front-end swap. I replace the front end, grille, bumper, & lights, to a Chevy s10 style to I can use the lower valance from the Xtreme's after I get the body kit mounted.

Did it matter what bumper design you went with? I have a 00 Blazer but I have the front end that has the chrome bumper with the place trim piece that pops into it and I want to buy one like what you have? I’m pretty sure the brackets are the same just different design for the blazers right?
Do you need to replace the bumper or can you just swap the grill and headlights

Sure you will. Take them back and get the original equipment.

Nice job, i cant believe there is not a single clear aftermarket marker lights that comes with the hole for the fogs lights, i havent found not even one, i dont wanna lose the fog light

Do you still need those brackets if your not going to use the xtreme valance I have zr5 sonoma but I like the chevy lights but I love how your gmc emblem and grill came out I wanna do the same
You can just get the standard s10 side brackets, but you will need new brackets.

No, this is just a standard s10 bumper.
Did you ever swap out that little 2.2L so the dual exhaust is actually doing something worthwhile?
No, its actually been over a year since I actually drove the thing. Got kinda tired of not having any power and also not that much better gas mileage then my Yukon due to the 2.2. Plus it needs an AC compressor. Just been putting off installing one. Long term I do plan to swap something into it but I have enough "projects" as it is and this isn't a top priority since as it sits the 2.2 is still running strong with only 100k on it.
You do need to buy the bumper or can you just put on the grill and lights ?
GMC and Chevy bumpers are different. So you would need the Chevy bumper
What all will I need to make sure everything is adjusted right ? I plan on doing the same to my Sonoma
Just have to make sure everything is lined up correctly, I just eyeball it and make sure nothing looks off or at least isn't noticeable from a distance.

Those aftermarket lights will never fit right especially with aftermarket grille
A bravada front end with the rest of the xtreme kit will look better. I'm not a fan of aftermarket tho
