After testing a stock 5'9" Round tail and a Custom 5'7" Squash tail the Driver 2.0 is the fastest and most user friendly HPSB I have ridden in 2-6'+ surf. Both boards are excellent and I prefer the Squash Tail due to surfing Southern CA, 1-4' surf most of the time.

Because Noal rides so many different types of short boards for review, he should be a special guest on the Stab in the Dark episode!!!
That is a genius idea! Also Noel should've weaseled into some of the Stab100 waves and raised the bar
I already have been buying LOST boards almost exclusively for decades, but LOST should be cutting this guy a check if they aren't already, his reviews have prompted me to buy a few more boards than I ordinary might not have. Keep ripping Noel !!
I just paddled in after doing the arm coiling after bottom turn. Biggest help I've had with my surfing in years. I"m embarressed I didn't firgure it out. Your a top surfer and teacher! thanks Noel!
Excellent… stoked you got break through!!
Noel, great review as always and very insightful as well. I’m torn between a driver 2.0 and a CI Black and White. Which one is more user friendly? Previous driver I’ve had didn’t paddle that well and required tons of back foot pressure to get it going. Also, wave range 2-6 feet. Cheers!
For beach break waves 2-6 'but more often 2-4', do you prefer Driver 2.0 PU, Phantom PU or Shadow EPS?
Great review! That looks like a performance board that could really work for us 'stocky' fellows.
Better than Neckbeard 2? Or is that apples to oranges? I feel like my NB 2 doesn't paddle fast enough
Mahalo
Was waiting so long for this review. As always 10/10 review. I got the Uber XL Carbon Warp after watching your review and I love it. Please keep on reviewing more lost boards
Stoked the UD XL is going good for you! I have the Sub Driver and Rocket Redux reviews coming soon.
Surf n Show Reviews you have a sub driver review coming up great, just about to order one. Not sure weather to go carbon wrap or pu though any advice?
fishskulls76 I would go CW
always the best reviews!
Both look great, but really loving how the 5'9 looks, really hoping to see you using more boards on that size in the future 🙏
Nice review as always, I purchased a driver 2.0 stock 5,11 when on a trip to aus. Can say it goes mint in almost anything. I ride it in exclusivley beach breaks. And its the most consistent feeling board ive owned. For context I also ride a subdriver, voodoo child, and puddle fish
Joshua Cairns Excellent post thank you.... it helps us all to hear your feedback on the boards your shredding. Cheers
What’s the difference between the sub driver and the driver 2.0
Noel, have you tested Lost Light speed epoxy yet? I want a driver bad but have been holding off because I love durable constructions that keep their flex. How is the durability of light speed compared to Hayden's future flex or firewire's helium?
Has anyone got any reviews on the new Sub Driver 2.0 by lost ?
love your videos
Would love your comparison with the new Stub Driver 3.0 compared to this Subdriver 2.0
Noel! How bout a review on a surf trip when lockdown is over? what boards do you ride when you’re not doing reviews? Keep shredding 🤙
Sounds like a fun episode.... Lately the boards I have been riding on my free time (fin testing) is the Fishbeard, Driver 2.0, something new by Hayden Shapes and the El Tomo Fish.
Hi Noel, another great review! I love my current Baby Buggy, but I'm going to have to replace it at some point, how does the Driver 2.0 compare overall? I use it in a whole range of conditions from small average to solid good waves, but spend most time in average surf unfortunately.
Guillaume Fontaine Driver 2.0 is great in 3-6’ surf.
Have you tried this board in hollow beachbreaks? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the driver 2.0's performance in those kind of waves.
pheelleip I got a couple hollow days on it and it went good. I’m sure the Round tail will go better.
i posted this on the wrong review.........my bad
I've watched your footage surfing this board probably 30 times now. About to pull the trigger on one in the next week.
How do you think a round tail on the shorter board would have gone? Best of both worlds? I need the board for 6-8 foot
Thanks brother man
Hi Noel, how does the D 2.0 compare to the Sharp Eye Storms…..I’m trying to decide between them for a Maldives trip…..
Thanks for your reviews! They’re so informative and I always see what you have to say when thinking about boards. I’m wanting to get a new hpsb for this winter and I’m trying to decide between the Driver 2.0 and Pyzel Shadow. Which one do you think would be best for So Cal winter swells or which one do you prefer?
If you surf a lot of hollow Beachies I say Shadow. If the waves you surf have some power but can get mushy too then Driver 2.0. The Driver 2.0 tops out at 6’ surf… the Shadow will handle 8’ surf no problem.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 Awesome, thanks for the input; keep shredding, love watching the videos!
Hey noel. Witch board would you recommend for a beach break surf spot. Between CI Happy and pyzel shadow.?
Thank you.🤙
If the beach break gets heavy and hollow then both boards will go good. The Shadow paddles better and offers more stability under the front foot so it has a bigger sweet spot and a bit more stable. The Happy has a lot of tail rocker so it will offer great traction off the bottom in heavy beachies.
If you had to choose between Channel Islands fever or Driver 2.0 for 2-6 foot waves, which one would you choose? Thank you!!!
Pretty sure he said driver 2.0 was the best hpsb he's tested to date
If you had to choose between hearing this song again, and being kicked in the nuts ... how long do you think it will hurt for?
Good question!
@@xWaxxy Hahhahahaa!
of course fever
Hey noel would you please be able to do the driver 3.0
How would you compare the Lost Driver 2.0 to the Pyzalien 2?
The Driver 2.0 is a little more high performance. The P2 is a better daily driver and easier to surf due to it not being super sensitive.
what are your thoughts on getting a driver 2.0 in a swallow as oppose to the squash or round tail.
It would probably go good... I would try that too. I love HPSB with a Swallow Tail.
yo noel, have you tried the FCS2 H4 fins? really interested to hear your thoughts on these (especially paired with my pyzalien 2!) keep crushing the content, best surf reviews out!
I have not but I just got them and I will be working on a fin review for our Subscribed Patron in the near future. By the way my P2 boards have Futures boxes so I cannot test the H4 fins any ways.
H4’s are sick.
tyler M So far I’m not to impressed with the H4 Medium fins. I’ve ridden them in two different boards and they did not go good. I will try to get a set of Large and try those soon
Hey noel, if you had to choose between driver 2.0, subdriver and pocket rocket for 1-4ft beach break waves which one would you choose? Which one do you think that better combines speed, drive and at the same time agility in the pocket in this type of wave? Thanks a lot, the videos are amazing
Eduardo Sá O have not tried the Sun Driver yet or the PR so. Have no opinion at this time. The Driver 2.0 would have to be custom for 1-4’ Beachies though. Sorry.... I ordered two Sub Drivers a bit ago still waiting for them.
Surf n Show Reviews thanks man, you’re best. Waiting for the subdriver review!!
How was it in light speed?
Hey Noel you should do a review on the tomo Vader. It is magic with the Machado keel twin (I’m about 147)
Hey Noel, Just saw that mayhem added the Light speed SUB driver 2.0. Don't know if there is much of a difference, but would love to see it.
Lucca Pires I ordered it already
Hi Noel!thx a lot of all ur great work how would you recommend between shadow and driver2.0
i live in bali
Shadow in hollow surf.. it has more rocker.
looks good Noel. Did you end up getting in touch with Dylan longbottom?
I think you would love the freeflow model. I got a custom i bought secondhand 5.9 x 19 x 2 1/2 which is a good alrounder in 2 to 5 ft good waves.
Regards
I have not but thanks for the suggestion.
Hey there great videos, question, sub driver 2.0… feels very loose to me, It feels like it generate’s it’s own speed which is fine, but once I come off the bottom for a top turn it looses momentum, and actually feels too loose at that point,,or let’s say too skatey..I’ve tried Timmy Patterson large fins and the mayhem mb1’s as well.. Was wondering thoughts on legacy series future fins?
those mbs are trash.. get raked fin and will have more drive
Hey Noel! Have you ever tried the Sub-Driver 2.0 or know the differences between these two boards? I’m looking to buy one of them but I couldn’t find any information comparing the two :/
I like the Driver 2.9 better as a daily driver in 3-6’ surf. The Sub Driver 2.0 is pretty good but the Driver 2.0 fits my style surfing better.
hi Noel… if my Sub Driver 2.0 is 5’11 x 29.1 liters (and I love it), would the Driver 2.0 5’11 x 29.5 liters be a good choice?
Absolutely
Could you review the sub driver? Thanks!
Hi mate, watched heaps of your videos, they’re sick! Was wondering if you have tried the Spitfire from Firewire and what your thoughts about it. Im riding that model but the one before they went to helium. Im just wondering if i should get the new one with helium or would you recommend something else.
Cheers!
I have not tried the Spitfire sorry. I personally like the HE tech by FW but if you like the one you have why not try something new? If your looking for a daily driver with a performance outline the I recommend the Uber Driver or Uber Driver XL, Phantom, Pyzalien 2, NB2, really stoked on the new El Tomo Fish.
Or you could try the Dominator 2.0...it’s Helium Tech and a great daily driver! (And shape is closer to the Spitfire)
how would it go as a 4 fin set up
What happens to the boards after you test them ?do you sell them or have the best surf quiver in surfing.
I sell some and keep some too.
Hi mate I’ve jus ordered the driver 2.0 but got it as a five fin set up. How do you think it would ride as a quad set up ??
I really like Quads... I am sure it will be fast. Give it a go and let us all know what you think.
Hey mate, I am trying to decide between the Driver 2.0 at 5'11" @ 28L (a LITTLE SMALL VOLUME WISE FOR ME) or 6'0" @ 29L (a LITTLE BIG VOLUME WISE FOR ME). Would you recommend going the 5'11" due to the shape of the board with its inherent speed?
How tall are you and how much do you weigh? What’s your skill level.
Hey Mark I had a similar issue with 6'0 vs 6'1driver 2.0 - I got the 6'1 but after a year I feel like I should've got the 6'0 these boards paddle so well and they catch everything the 6'0 would help me do more radical stuff and it feels like more litres than it actually is
hi, what are your thoughts about the driver 2.0 vs the sharp eye holy toledo 2.0. I already have the js air 17 and so I don't mind getting one for only certain conditions. The question really is if you could choose one of the two upon performance, in their range of waves/ which one would you think would be punchier in the 1-5 feet surf for a progressive off the top and carves approach, thanks!
Driver 2.0... it’s faster in smaller surf too.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 What about strength, compared to the pu air 17, I would like it to last a bit better, thought about a 4x6x4 lamination. what did you think? and what would be the weight?
@@galmeytes7174 Email the folks at Lost concerning glass job.
Hey Noel, another great review. Would the Driver 2.0 be a good choice for an intermediate surfer surfing mainly beaches? If so, what’s DIMs would you recommend?Looking for a board to complement my Astro Pop.
Cheers,
Aussie Snowboarder Depends on what size waves you want to ride this board at the Beachies. I also think the Uber Driver might be a little more user friendly. I see Great the UD for intermediate surfers... a bit more stable.
Thanks for getting back to me Noel. Looking for a board that goes well in 2-6 ft waves. Considering a Phantom, Monstabox or UD now you have thrown it into mix. Thoughts? Cheers
@@aussiesnowboarder1530 Uber Driver will go good in the Beachies!! I say UD or P2.... you cannot go wrong with either. Cheers
Thanks mate!
I’m in a similar situation. What board did you decide on?
Hello Noel, great review!!! Does this board work in waist height surf? Thinking about a board with a good range. Or do you think the sub driver 2.0 has a better range? Thanks a lot for making this reviews!
I like the Driver 2.0 better so far. Maybe try the Sub Driver in the Bro dims to keep it shorter and go Light Speed
@@surfnshowreviews7777 thanks Noel. I thought about that but I am worried because I am 6’3 and weight 164 pounds so my volume for the bro size is very short. Do you think the length could be an issue for my height? Thanks a lot again!
@@erasmowong Since you that tall I say go Driver 2.0... it think it’s faster anyways.
Where would you say is the main difference to the Pyzel Shadow model? I feel like they’re both auite similar, but which one performs better in the upper part of their range (say in the 5-8 ft. Range).
The Shadow has more tail rocker and it will out performs the Driver 2.0 in bigger surf
@@surfnshowreviews7777 Thanks a lot for that quick answer :)
driver 2.0 vs monsta 8 by JS, which one would you favour? I need a surfboard for 2-8 feet waves. (the monsta 8 for me is 200$ cheaper so I'm thinking if it's worth the save)
Monsta 8 goes better in bigger surf. I like the D 2.0 in 3-6’ surf… when the waves get over 6’ foot there is too much lift in the tail for me.
Hello Surf 'n show,
What your favorite lenght between this two boards for a beach breaks please? Longest one with squash tail could be an option for you?
Yannick Haddouche IL lie the Shorter one better with a Squash Tail. It will pivot faster in a beach break too
@@surfnshowreviews7777 Thanks!!
Deciding between a white noize and a driver 2.0. Which would you recommend out of the two?
orangshoes21 White Noize is more user friendly... easier to surf. The Driver 2.0 is more high performance and will perform best when your at the top of your game. It’s not a cruiser...
Hey Noel- what kind of stand were you using to prop these surfboards up in the video?? You were ripping on this board
Alex Silver Board Raxx is the rack I use for repairs or talking about the board. For display I use Ghost Racks
how would you compare the pyzel shadow and the driver 2 for standard NorCal conditions?
Pyzel can handle bigger surf 4-8’+... the Driver 2.9 is best in 3-6’ beyond 6’ surf it struggles.
Hello Noel. You’re second to none when we talk about reviewing boards. I’ve got a rad ripper 5´8 as a daily driver. I’m thinking to round my quiver. What would you recommend for more perforce? I’m an intermediate surfer. Thanks in advance!
Felipe Cano Gaviria UBer Driver XL or Pyzalien 2
Thanks for replying Noel! I’d like to ask you something else. What would you recommend between the Pyzalien 2 and the phantom? Thanks again your reviews really help people to select the proper board. Cheers.
Felipe Cano Gaviria Phantom paddles better and more stability under the front foot.... so it’s more user friendly and it carves better. The P2 pivots better and it has a better wave range of 3-8’ surf.
Hi Noel sorry for all the questions… how would u compare this board to the inferno 72 ? Which will be better for some good turns in small surf ?
72 inferno
Great review, as always.
How would you compare it to the Uber XL ? Surely less paddling but, in terms of manouvers, is it to different?
thank you
Jose N The UD XL has less rocker so it will paddle better and a bit faster in the smaller surf. However this Driver 2.0 is very fast for a HPSB and it goes GOOD in 2-3’ surf. The Driver 2.0 offers more precision in your turns compared to the UD XL.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 Thanks, very good. Still, I was checking Puukas site (where you can build your custom board) and to get my "usual" volume of 29.5L, I woud need a much thicker (or wider) board. I was pretty much surprised, but the volume difference, for the same dimensions, is in the area of 2Liters.
Jose N If it’s a performance board... careful you don’t go to wide. Once you get the dims you want I would email the folks there and make sure your fins are good for that model
Great review! How would you compare the driver 2.0 to the scifi 2.0? Which one would you consider more user friendly? Thanks!
Carlos Ramos Driver 2.0 is more user friendly, faster in 2-4’ surf. The Driver 2.0 is the best HPSB I’ve tested to date in 2-6’ surf.
Thanks, Noel. And would you recommend a round tail for 4 to 6+ surf?
Carlos Ramos Yes
How would you compare the driver 2.0 to the subdriver? Dimensions looks like they may be pretty similar. Thanks!
j m I have not tried the Sub Driver yet.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 The sub driver is wider in the nose with less tail rocker. the tail is wider too. It was a step down of the OG Driver. I have the swallow tail SD and a Squash tail 2.0. both great boards.
Paul Morgan Great post thanks for helping out
Thanks guys! I just picked up a sub driver squash and am looking forward to get some use out of it
not abou tthis board, but ive been finding my pocket rocket 5.10 really "wobbly" off my back foot, im surfing punchier point waves on it and it feels super unstable when i crank a bottom turn, i usually surf a 5.9 length shorth board, but wanted to go up in volume. should i look for a board withh less flip in the the tail? lways thought i was a front foot surfer but maybe im not?
henry jackson Try a Large in with more Rake... it should tone it down a bit. If you weight under 150 pounds go Medium size Rake fin. Like the Al Merrick fins or Mick Fanning fins
@@surfnshowreviews7777 Thanks for the reply, I weigh around 140, got the merricks in there already!
henry jackson Get the MF fins or a set of fins the have all three fins the same size
Nice review as always. Please do some shows with xanadu boards.
Marcelo Aires Love Xanda boards
Hi Noel. Besides the fins that you reviewed on this episode, what other fin recommendation option are there? I was thinking about the reactor series, Matt biolis fins or the kolohe andino fins. Thank you.
The Reactors will go good and so will the KA, and Lost fins. The Reactors will pivot the fastest, the Lost fins are neutral so the will carve and pivot good too. The KA's are my favorite raked fin in the FCSII line up and the Reactors are my favorite pivot fins in FCSII.
Board looks good driving off the bottom and coming off the top.
For so cal 2-7ft you think Pyzel phantom or driver 2.0?
Mattie Miller Phantom is more user friendly and paddles better. The D 2.0 is more high performance. If you want to surf more vertical in the pocket then go D 2.0, if u want to carve more and still get into the lip go Phantom
I'd be curious to see, if you ever had the time or interest- to revisit say 2 favourite boards for every year going back 4 or 5 years, trying your new fins, seeing if there's muscle memory there for you, or if you would find a board you once loved as so-so. We all evolve, and I'm certain you'd be strapped for time, considering all the awesome clips from this year *alone*.
Thanks for the time and effort, guys. Much appreciated. Even if I just watch to see sick surfing, not necessarily the board, I always learn something.
Yewww
I would love to do that… however I am always trying to keep up with all of the new models coming out
Fully understand and appreciate the amount of work you guys put in.
Thank you 😊
Thank you for the reviews! I typically ride fishes and hybrids. Looking for a hpsb to progress. Currently looking at a 5’11 og flyer or 6’2 driver 2.0 rest of the dims are the same for both. Which one would you recommend?
The OG is easier to shred… more user friendly. The D2.0 offers a bit more performance in the pocket
Hey Noel .
I surf normal conditions on the untitled 5’6 because of your review . Board is insane .
I look to get a pu board for bigger surf . Cant decide between the raven or lost driver . Can I get your input ? Bless
Raven offers more drive…. Likes to carve more and it can handle a little bigger surf. It might have a bit more tail rocker compared to Driver 2.0. The Driver 2 offers more high performance surfing in the pocket.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 how would u compare the performance in the pocket between the untitled and the raven ?
@@djpipe1 Untitled get in lip faster and it will surf more vertical with less effort.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 last one - what would you choose between white noiZ and raven if I have the untitled and I need a board for bigger waves I surf with untitled . Much appreciated
Great to see you on something slightly longer at 5'9. Would love to see you review some more boards that are even narrower and longer. You surf so incredible on those shorter boards in 2-4ft Trestles but you've been doing a lot of that and it would be nice to have some variety. Also your dims are really small for your size and I wonder if more could relate to you on some longer boards. Great job and thank you.
Noel, you still make every board look good!! Will you be testing Firewire/Mann Twice Baked?
Mike K I don’t think so.... that board doesn’t look like it can do a legit wrap in the pocket. I tried the Chumlee a while back and the board argued with me every time I wanted to turn. I’m not saying the Twice Baked is the same... just saying the Twice Baked and I could argue a lot about when I want to turn it.
Hi Noel, really love your reviews . would love to get a new board for my son and i always thought the CI sampler would be perfect but is an old model can you recommend something similar for a 13 yr old intermediate surfer for 1-4 foot surf.he surfers around 23l.regards John.
john masterson Sampler is a good one for the Groms. Other user friendly boards with Performance outline are UBer Driver, Phantom, Pyzalien 2
Hi Noel, planning to order this to work from 2 to 6 foot Surf. Thinking that I should take EPS to make sure it has flare on weaker waves. Any difference between regular EPS and carbon wrap? Will regular EPS hold better in stronger waves?
Miguel Lima About the same. Lost has a new tech called Light Speed. Check that out. I got a Sub Driver 2.0 coming in Light Speed. I hear it’s good
Ehi why don't you test the lost round nose fish redux for us...!? Would be very interesting to test a board with so much history...!!!
When a board feel skatey with too much lift, how do you get around that with fins?. Shouldn't you go bigger for more hold, perhaps more rake and depth? I'm confused when you changed to the TK medium fin set up. I would assume that if you put in a medium size fin the board would skip even more.
A larger fin can cause more lift and more speed when pushing hard through turns.
For me a medium raked fin will help stabilize (tighten up the board a little) and help me keep the rails engaged. In bigger, faster waves I want the rail and fins to work together, so going with a smaller fin can sometimes help manage the speed and make the board settle down a bit.
When surfers are charging massive waves they actually use Small size fins for these very reasons.
thanks legend @@surfnshowreviews7777
Thats some crowd at 11.30!
Have you tried it in lightspeed construction, I’d love to know the difference. Cheers
Not yet... but soon Sub Driver 2.0
@@surfnshowreviews7777 sounds good
Noel, how would you compare this to the Pyzalian 2? Thanks
Water Dog The Driver 2.0 is legit HPSB and the P2 is more of a daily driver / 1 board quiver. The Driver 2.0 is razor sharp like you would expect from a HPSB in the pocket and has quick get up and go speed. The P2 has a better wave range at 2-8’+ and maybe a little more user friendly. The P2 is not as sensitive rail to rail so I think it would suit an intermediate surfer better if they don’t surf really top to bottom. Both boards are epic!!!
Thanks
Noel did you prefer the board at your height or like the shorter package?
Ryan Gunn Both were epic but I preferred the Shorter. I will ride it more often.
Noel, is there a reason you only picked up PU boards for this video? You usually try PU and Epoxy... I’m curious to know your thoughts
Renato B No real reason... I would have liked my Custom 5’7” in EPS too. I just thought one stock and one custom in two different tails was interesting enough. By the way... I really like PU/Poly best on my HPSB for 4-8’+ waves.
Hey Noel, just a quick question, does the driver 2.0 have simple or double concave?
Single concave
All the way simple or simple but turns double in the fin area?
@@nikotg420 The folks at Lost said it’s Single all the way

Hi Noel… Sub Driver 2.0 and Driver 2.0: are they used in the same Wave size range?
I say yes. The Driver 2.0 suits a back footed surfer better and the SD 2.0 suits a neutral to front footed surfer better
Hey man! Commented before but after doing so much research, I wanted ask you one question (sorry). Between the spine tek neck beard 2 and the Uber driver xl carbon wrap, which board to you prefer?
Random Stuff Two epic sleds... the NB2 is a bit more radical and its faster. The NB2 also pivots better...
The UD is smoother rail to rail. I would go NB2 as it pushes my surfing to be more progressive.

Random Stuff Excellent... cheers
could you do a Sweet spot 3.0?
Always good reviews. Who else but Noel
hi Noel... Does Driver 2.0 have a lower rocker than CI's Two Happy and Fever?
Yes, the Driver 2.0 seems to have lower overall rocker. It faster with less effort. The Fever and Driver 2.0 are similar but the D2.0 might be a little faster but the Fever is better in 5-8’ surf. Driver 2.0 is better in 3-6’ surf.
Hi Noel… which do you think is more userfriendly: Driver 2.0 or Sub Driver 2.0?
About the same… the Driver 2.0 suits back footed surfers better. The SD 2.0 suits neutral to front footed surfers better. They both shred 2-6’ surf. I like the D 2.0 better as I am more of a back foot surfer.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 Hi Noel… the difference in the foot is because of the width of the tail?
@@henriquevert It feels like the Driver carries more speed surfed off the back foot. It could be due to a little wider tail.

the Beta series were prototypes of the new Vapor Cores coming out really soon. I was blessed to get a couple sets to demo and they are f"ing unreal. not sure how much I can spill here, so I won't, but if you need some beta series we have a few new pairs to sell/ship. stay tuned for the Vapor Core!
Driver 2.0 or the Fever? Thoughts Noel?
what did you like the most the driver 2.0 or the driver 1.0
כפיר ברדDriver 2.0
Get the hot knife yet for reviewing ?
also in futures do you prefer the newer or older JFF tech flex sets ?
Chili Hot Knife I ordered months ago.... nothing yet. I like the new JJF Tech Flex better. They feel more alive under foot due to them using Epoxy resin not Polyesther Resin that they used on the old ones. The old JJF Tech Flex feel lifeless to me......
Surf n Show Reviews really ? 😬🙈 have you followed up on it ? I’d love to see you ride and review that one, oh ok great to know ! I’ve ordered a pair
Simon Chadwick Yes really??? Yes I followed up on it... they said oh we forgot. I’m not going to beg... to busy for that. If they want their boards reviewed then they need to do their part. Sorry
Surf n Show Reviews yeah man that’s real shitty, I’m sorry to hear 🙈 I haven’t too many problems getting boards from the aus shop though
You say that this board is more suited to "front footed" surfers, does this mean you wouldn't bog your rails as much? I find that when I do long roundhouses or open carves i tend to bog my heel side and i'm not sure wether i'm more of a front footed surfer or its my technique.
Sick Review as always
First question... is your back foot all the way back in the tail block?
@@surfnshowreviews7777 When I'm doing snaps and Tail Blows yes, but when Im doing carves and cutback ill have it around 1" inch in front of the kick block of my Tailpad
@@lukemitchell7375 It’s really hard for me to say without seeing some footage. If you have clips of you surfing with this problem and you want my help we do offer Virtual Video Coaching. You can learn more about our Coaching here....surfnshow.com/pages/video-coaching
What is the maximum size and volume the 5'7 accepts without losing the characteristics of the board? Without losing responsiveness, etc. To customize. I have the same height and weight but I believe that these measures that you surf are close to the minimum possible, for expert surfers.
Eduardo Ribeiro I say use the measurements I chose between my 5’7 and 5’9 and scale it according to the stock dim board that’s works for you. My 5’7” is a tad wider and a tad thicker.... if this doesn’t work for you then I suggest a Sub Driver or UD XL
@@surfnshowreviews7777 So, I was trying to make it wider, maybe with 19 in the middle, 2 3/8 edge and with more volume. But I don't know if it would change the characteristics of the board too much, affecting responsiveness, performance, etc.
Eduardo Ribeiro I think going that wide will cause to much lift in the tail in 4-6’ surf. That’s why I recommend the Sub Driver.....
@@surfnshowreviews7777
Thank you very much, it will help a lot. Last question, this 5'7 custom can handle how many kilograms more or less? More than your 72.57 or is your weight the limit for good fluctuation?
Eduardo Ribeiro 165 pounds comfortably
have you tried the biolas fins
cat in the hat Yes... they go pretty good. Not my favorite though
What’s the difference between; the sub driver and the driver 2.0?
I haven’t spent much time on the Sub Driver 2 yet..... I think the Sub Driver 2 is shorter, wider, and thicker. It also has more width in the nose and tail to carry more speed in smaller waves. The Sub Driver 2 also has a little V out the tail too....
@@surfnshowreviews7777 ok thank u so much!
@@surfnshowreviews7777 ok thank u so much!
I have an OG flyer but I get the feeling this would be a better option. Would love your direct opinion on this Noel. Thanks for all your work brother. 🏄♂️💙🤙
Driver 2.0 is excellent for 3-6’ surf. I also love the Dominator 2. Both of these boards are mental
Thanks from down under brother. You and Aaron are absolutely killing it. Legends 👍
Hi @@jarrodtalbot6604. Have you tested the driver 2.0 finally? Compared to the OG flyer? Why do you think it will work better? Thanks mate!!
@@bernatANDORRA Hey mate. I ended up getting the pocket rocket. The OG I had was a touch big for me. I haven’t had a chance to ride the pocket rocket in good surf yet but it goes good in the small stuff for a hpsb which is good. All the guys I’ve spoken with in surfboard empire in Australia seem to prefer the pocket rocket over the driver 2.0.
@@jarrodtalbot6604 great info thanks!! Im deciding which hspb to get but my skills are limited. Now riding a firewire spitfire that in 5-6ft starts squirrels a bit. Im now trying different fins too.
What would you recommend If you had only one board, light or ultra light
david guerreiro alonso Performance wise.... Ultra Light, durability wise.... Light.
I ride Fred rubble for good waves how would this compere to driver 2.0
cat in the hat Driver 2.0 is way faster down the line and quicker get up and go. The Driver 2.0 will out perform the FR in the pocket all day long too. Sorry the FR is good but surfs Average compared to the Driver 2.0.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 thank you for your honest opinion I'm thinking of riding a driver 2.0 pin for good waves and rad ripper for every day board
That Sounds epic
@@surfnshowreviews7777 What about driver 2.0 for good days and uber driver for every day "average" surfing?
Spot on. thats a good mini quiver.
What’s the concave of this board?
I mention this in the review
Dont like the drivers at all except the MD. Cant help to wonder how a 2.0 would go though🤔
Hey noel! Would you please do a review on jordy smiths dad, graham smith shapes holy moly shortboard? Cheers
Ibrahim Slax I’ve talked to those guys.... they don’t seem super interested in sending boards for review at this time. Sorry.... not my fault. Hopefully in the near future.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 No stress👍👍
When is the sub driver 2 review dropping?
Not sure... I ordered my Sub Driver 2 in light speed last September... I still don’t have it. Sorry
@@surfnshowreviews7777 Holy crap. All my mayhems have taken at the very least 3 months so it doesn't surprise me
How do you like the new subdriver 2.0 ?!
I have a stock 5’8” PU/Poly and it feels a bit long. I am waiting for the Stock 5’7” Bro Dims in Light Speed to come in still. Hopefully that will feel better.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 Your gonna love it , just grabbed a stock 5’5 in light speed . Surfed it first time today 2-3ft beach break 👍🏻👍🏻
