Racism has definitely changed... I disagree with Jeannie. If it hadn't, segregation would still exist in many places today. It's gone down. If we lived in the past we'd see how much racism has changed. We had a black president, we have minority women taking on higher level roles in the workplace. That wasn't just the change in mentality of one or two people. This is an entire nation finally warming up to each other and recognizing each other's capabilities and in the end learning that we're all the same. I do believe however that as time goes, we are becoming more outspoken and opinionated. There are more methods people are using to express themselves and the level of courage people have to speak out has gone up. Together, those form an invitation to reveal the ugly mentalities that still exist.
