hey, in video i'm 19 ... and I started skating with 7 or something like that ... but I've never done it seriously, just for fun every now and then. When you join an inline street hockey team you probably learn skating very fast and good. But you can just learn it on your own. Get some skates and start ... :) the more you skate the better you'll get. Don't try to push yourself to hard, you need some kind of routine to become a confident skater ...

I have watched this video like 10 times in the last year and I never get tired. For me this is one of the best youtube videos. It encouraged me to buy a pair of skates, and I think it was one of the craziest ideas that I have had, but one of the rightest decisiones.
In 18 years, I had never played sports oftenly (I always feel exhausted of one at the first week). Since the purchase of the skates, almost everyday I look around a time to take a drive with them.
I start to feel much stronger and powerfull (psychologically). When I'm down the best medicine is rolling down my city with music por listening to the chaos of the noise.
Not everyone can understand the feeling when you are skating, it's something new.

Same here. I've been rollerblading for 7 years and I wish I could blade every day, but there's no skate parks and the roads are always busy. We have to travel 30 miles or so to find a decent bit of road. This video inspired me to get better and learn a few tricks. I love blading, and like you guys said, you just feel free. This dude is so cool, and his blades are sick!

Been skating about 14 years. But there were years I didn't skate very much ... and I always just did it for fun. So you can learn it waaay quicker ;) ... and yep, I learned everything by my self. But it's a process of getting better and better with every day you skate. Things get more smooth ... I love it :)

I'm so glad to see people still enjoying this sport! it seems like everyone is into skateboarding now, but this has been my favorite since I was 5 years old and I got my first pair of hardshell boot blades. the whole frame was bad plastic and I skated in them until my mom ran out of duct tape to keep them together. I just bought my first brand new "adult" pair online and they'll be here in two days! super stoked! you make it look so fun!!! thank you :)

Gotta practice like crazy to get to that level. I've been at it for 15 months and i only got to urban about 5 months ago. of course don't been stupid and not wear protection. inlines are better for longer journeys and the go up and down stairs without breaks.

As a dad myself -- and about to give my kids and niece a pair of blades (my youngest wants quads though) -- I'm wondering if I should cover them up or teach them the way I learned -- no pads, no helmets! Though I'm most probably leaning toward getting them the gear, just to comply with laws. But seriously... Kids can take a beating. I know because that's how I learned! No pain, no gain! It's no more dangerous than the soccer field with all that running and tripping going on...
@@theanimaster Hey pads aren't needed as much, but at first put them in a helmet.

I'm 12 and I'm okay at skating. I'm the fastest out of all my friends and I also go ice skating but roller blading is more my things. I can go backwards and skate fast and now I'm trying to work on my spin. I can jump and go off ramps too. It's kinda hard going off the ramps tho :/

skating ?
Stretching helps before and after to loosen your body and maybe try yoga.
+Pewna Patty Some of it is just getting stronger. When you're back hurts, take a break. Over time you may find that you can go further and further each time before having to stop. Also, focus more on getting low by sitting back over you skates and bending at the hips rather than by hunching forward. I've had back issues in the past, and these two things really helped me go from basically being unable to skate to now where I skate all the time.
***** Great, thank you. I am super weak, I was a bit naive thinking that can be good at skating with no body strength. So now working on my muscles and doing a bit of yoga.

I think it's a good sign to have a little back pain when you're starting, it means you're bending it and getting low. It may be a couple months but eventually you won't feel it at all, everything will start feeling better after you skate. :-)
I love your skate videos pls if you have the time and still skate do another one! You are mostly the reason why i skate so much and why i learned all these tricks. I hope to can perform on ice now too! :)

it generally depends on the wheels, the larger the wheels, the higher the speed you can pick up. You also must take into consideration that the larger the wheel, the less maneuvering you can do. So if your looking to rollerblade for hockey or freestyle like in his video, you would most likely want to go with 80mm wheels. If your looking for pure speed, I'd suggest a 84mm due to you being a beginner. As you get better, you may want to move up to 90mm wheels or even 100mm if you can hand the speed

That's a really cool place to skate, where I live here in Argentina the streets are mined with wholes and bumps. I hit the ground at least once every time I go out to skate, but I still love it.

I used to Rollerskate all the time and when I got better at it,it got to small.Now I Rollerblade so it is easy for me just the same thing really. Plus this video has really helped me to improve.
