      I was a vegan for about 10 years how many years ago and I got extremely sick with chronic fatigue syndrome and all kinds of intestinal and immune problems. Also hormonal problems and I refuse to believe it was my vegetarian diet because I thought it was so healthy for me! After many years I finally started eating meat again after reading the metabolic typing diet book and I got a lot better but I still suffer from a lot of different issues that I know are caused by plants! I'm working towards going full time on the carnivore diet now!

      I am celebrating my first year eating the carnivore way, I experienced Myelination restoring my balance and my hands no longer shake. Our nervous system requires meat fat and cholesterol to insulate our nerves and protect them from damage, increasing our cognitive abilities and memory, our brain is 70% cholesterol/fats 20% DHA 10% EDA. I am learning so much, meat liquifies in our stomach acid our body absorbs 98% of it. Our liver produces the amount of bile to emulsify the fat our body needs, the rest goes to our bowel softening our stool. Homo Sapiens cannot digest fiber it rots in the intestines causing disease. I noticed with Oxalate poisoning the pain is always in the same place, I made kefir drank 2 ounces when I woke up the back of my neck hurt, I tested it again same pain, I tried onion and garlic powder, woke up with mild achy arthritic pain all over, my keto friend ate almond cookies, carpel tunnel. 350 plants have arsenic 1/2 Ib of Almonds is lethal.

    I have been following Sally K. Norton for 5 yrs. I never tire from hearing her interviews. Luckily, I shifted from keto to carnivore easily which helped me further eliminate plant antinutrients from my diet. I feel better and save more money by not buying plant foods which end up rotting in the refrigerator. Thanks for hosting a show with Sally.

    But here's my dilemma with this... While I do understand everything she is saying and I do believe it all, if these plants and such naturally produce oxalates, then how come people years and years ago would eat only plant based foods and none of these kinds of illnesses and such happened to them? I'm really wanting to wrap my mind around all of this and think that maybe there is something to this that I need to look into and change about my diet, but again I can't help but think that If people ate these foods all the time back in the day, why are we just now hearing about oxalates being an issue? Please help my understanding!

      @griffint6637While I understand what you are saying, people still ate these foods throughout the past several years and no one has reported any sorts of issues. To mention the fact that spinach is very high in oxalate and people eat spinach in large quantities and have for years! So I'm not sure I 100 percent agree, unfortunately :(

      Why don’t you try a diet of high oxalate foods such as spinach almonds sweet potatoes tea and dark chocolate and see how you feel. @@gypsyluv1118 It's funny because last night I had a ton of almond butter and woke up only one time. I usually wake up one to two times a night so that's normal for me, but I was wanting to see how it affected me but it didn't. So who knows? But I do get a ton of bloating I will say that! At least most of these foods seem to bloat me but like now, I don't feel any bloating from the almond butter so who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️

    • @jellybeanvinkler4878
      @jellybeanvinkler4878 Před 5 měsíci +14

      Number one, there is a gut bacteria that helps chew up oxalates. But our friendly bacteria are being killed off by the likes of glyphosate and other antibiotics. Not to mention all sorts of other modern metabolic imbalances that screw with proper digestion.
      Secondly, eating a thousand or 2 thousand or 5000 MG s of oxalates is just overdosing, leading to toxicity.
      I was vegetarian for years, like Sally, ate all my wonderful garden greens. Daily green smoothies with spinach and peanut butter and other greens and fruits.😢
      I'm sure my oxalate consumption was in the thousands.
      Unaware was I, til lower back pain sent me for an MRI, that I was toting around a 2+ cm kidney stone in my right side kidney. The quack doctor told me I could keep the stone, and that it was not the reason for my right side back pain.😢 An not once was I warned off oxalates.
      Years later, I have a parathyroid removed, and watching my cystic thyroid😢
      So many issues went away when I finally bought Sally's book and I finally got off all oxalate foods!
      Arthritis, plantar fasciitis, other aches and pains. I also had a tooth removed that I now suspect was troubled by oxalate dumping.
      Most can handle a reasonable amount of oxalates. But too much will cause toxicity for some people.

      @@jellybeanvinkler4878Wow! That does make perfect sense. It's funny because I started to think about that and wondered if it was because of all of the crap that's in our soil and all of that, that is killing off the good healthy stuff and making it unhealthy for us to actually try and digest. Thank you for that explanation as it speaks volumes. So sorry you had to go through all of that but it's amazing how when we go through certain things just how knowledgeable we can become and how we can end up helping others in the process! There is a reason and a purpose for everything!

      Our closest relative species have been observed foraging for aquatic herbs in the natural habitat where we also evolved for tens of millions of years; such plants contain various nutrients that aren't always readily available in other foods in the natural environment, like iodine, and even B12.

Keto Ketovore Carnivore and the Lion diet reverse disease and mental illness, our body makes any carbs/sugar it needs. Look up Myelination. I have Oxalate poisoning from eating vegan and drinking superfood smoothies, I chose the carnivore way of healing my body. There are many levels of healing I am having a histamine reaction to marked down aged steaks, they were delicious. I have 14 Ibs of grass fed finished beef delivered every 6 weeks, it is rich in omega 3’s and dense with the Nutrition our bodies need.
