I completed it in 2001, at 19 yo, now I'm 38. If someone remember the one-eyed statues Labyrinth at the end, then he had completed it in GameBoy.

Heck, me personally, I'd settle for just getting ports of all the old zelda games. If they did that, then ported some of the Pokemon games and Fallout: New Vegas, I'd pretty much never need any other console for the rest of my life.

This game has always held a special place in my heart. From the first scene of the first teaser, i have been extremely excited to see this. And the more I see, the more i am looking forward to it! Can't wait!

I loved the whole thing. The end where he is walking up the stairs and the ballad of the wind fish starts playing literally brought me to tears. To feel like a child again...

They still licensed their IP to a studio that obviously doesn't understand the importance of Sonic's design, therefore alienating core fans and new fans with a lackluster movie that hasn't even come out yet but already looks underwhelming and has negative hype.

I am a person who never played the original “The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening”, and I find the game amazing!
I mean, that's fine to say I guess, but literally it's not even out yet, so you couldn't have played it.
It's still the best handheld Zelda, just optimised to the maximum.

I'm gonna be honest. I'm more looking forward to this than the sequel of Breath of the Wild. I like Breath of the Wild. But it was never my go for too Zelda game. So seeing the remastered of Link's Awakening makes it up.

I knew this was a legit remake when they showed Link trying to steal something from the shop. So glad they left that secret in.

Also, shooting arrows and bombs at the same time to do bomb arrows. I don't think anywhere in the original game do they tell you that. You just had to figure it out.

@@MichaelJordan6Rings not trying to be a hater/complainenr here, but tbh links awakening 's graphics and stylization are far more polished than what theyve shown so far with the dp remakes, one detail i like in this game is the background/foreground blur effect
then again, its still to early, the dp remakes arent finished so im holding my judgement til then,, i really do hope they polish it even more

This is absolutely adorable and that Dungeon Editor looks sick. I really hope it's an experiment from Nintendo to see how the public would react to a Zelda-style Mario maker and if its played enough, maybe we might actually get a full dungeon maker game
This is the one game that has made me want to get a Switch.
It was the original version on Game Boy that made me into a Zelda fan.

Unapologetically same. This game was my literal childhood, the first game I completely became totally absorbed into. Hearing the remastered Tal Tal Heights theme and that melodic violin playing Balled of the Wind Fish make my heart ache every time. I cannot wait for this.

I remember playing the original with my grandmother (she loves her Nintendo games) as a kid back in the late 90s. Geez, those music tracks bring back memories of summer weekends at grandma's place. Nostalgia is great!

2:00 My god, I'm gonna cry. That tune has so much nostalgia for me. I was never that big on a Link to the Past, which is the more popular classic 2d Zelda game. But for me, Links Awakening was special.
Link's Awakening is my absolute favourite handheld Zelda (my 2nd favourite overall). I don't know if I'm all about the new artstyle, but the music will be wonderful.

Love how the soundtrack incorporates parts of the original 8-bit Gameboy tunes into most songs.
Loving the musical arrangement using almost exclusively the nine Instruments of the Wind.
I love how Nintendo doesn't give up on the flawless formula of old school Zelda/Mario. Yet they still give us modern ones as well, and they're almost always leading the charge in some way, pushing beyond what people expect.
This game look spectacular! I never had the chance to play it on Gameboy, so I'm so happy about this remake!
