Hey friends, excited to demo and review my new Excel Tammany Acoustic guitar from D'Angelico. The Excel Acoustic line from D'Angelico has been revamped for 2019 and this Tammany guitar is a personal favorite! Hope you enjoy the video!

Did I ever say this was the demo that sold this guitar for me.
I have the Tammany and put 11s on it. The sound is fantastic. In sound quality you will not notice a difference between 12s and 11s. When I recieved the guitar two strings were broken and two ebony bridge pins were missing Guitar center sent me new strings, Elixer 11s, and new ebony bridge pins to make up for the problems encountered. Fantastic guitar with wonderful tone using Elixer 11s.

I’ve been looking for a good acoustic guitar to replace my aging Alvarez. I’ve tried a Breedlove, a newer Alvarez, and Orangewood but nothing felt right in my hands. Saw this video and your checklist was exactly what I was looking for, so I gave the Tammany a try. Everything you discussed in your video is exactly what I received and the Ice Tea burst finish is amazing. So happy I gave D’Angelico a try, definitely going to buy more guitars from them in the future.

Could you please also do a review of the new D'Angelico "Excel Tammany XT" and compare it to this model you have there?
So why did the change the pickup from the pryses plus Fishman to the sonitone.. Theres less control on sound etc. On Thomann europe we cant get that pickup u have only the sonitone.
That guitar sounds almost as good as the Seagull Entourage.
Why those movements of the guitar whenever you stop playing any song?

Beautiful looking well made guitar but i prefer a jumbo its to small sounds a little tinny
That's why they make all kinds. I personally love the brighter sound. But at the same time there is no one size fits all for every song and style.
How does this compare to your orangewood????
The orangewoods I have are in the 150-299 price range. This is much nicer guitar and is much more expensive.

sounds thin - what you played really did not show of the acoustic guitars tone, articulation, sustain...you played like your were holding a Les Paul not an acoustic guitar. It is real purdy though.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a awesome guitar (I’ve Owned one) for the price, but the Fishman is shit compare to like a maton ap5 pro and several others out there.

Suppose to sound woody it is an om style not a dreadnaught.
