I have to admit that the cubs are very cute, realistic enough to be fluffy and cuddly without being uncanny, and just cartoony enough to be more expressive than an actual animal would actually be without too fake or forced.
Could really do without Bumble though, he kind of ruins that whole vibe.

I was thinking that about the grass. I was just sitting here like "oh wow the graphics are like it came out in 2024"
....it's not that good. I mean it's definitely very good for when it came out, but seeing it today it looks very fuzzy around the edges and undetailed to me lol, like there's not enough layers. The models and textures are very very cute, I don't think they're exceedingly realistic though
@@snakewithapen5489 That's about the only real criticism of it, tbh. Like, feline fur does have that fuzziness around it as the hairs become thinner, but some of the animals do look a little too fuzzy at times, which may partly be from the game rendering at what looks to be 720p. Looking at the shop lemur definitely makes you feel like you're failing an eye exam though, lol
Still, the cat fur looks shockingly good, especially considering this game came out in 2010. The lighting on the black cub, in particular, is really well done, they replicated that smooth coat sheen almost perfectly and the fuzziness gives it that softer glow at shallower reflection angles. Even the cat fur in Stray looks rather clumpy and dull, by comparison, and that game came out in 2022. And, sure, Stray dedicated a _lot_ more resources to rendering the environments, so it's not exactly a 1-to-1 comparison, but still, if there's anything Kinectimals did right, it was absolutely the fur graphics

This game’s visuals hold up surprisingly well. The animals are so fluffy, and the grass has way better texture then anything Pokemon has released on the switc- /shot
With the exception of that flying weasel's soulless dead eyes.
im still so baffled how S/V managed to be the highest selling pokemon game despite the god awful graphics and performance.

Neatest part is that this game also has easters eggs coming from different games played on the 360.
Example: playing a halo game gives your cub a covenant ghost, y'know the small purple hovercrafts that can splatter a super soldier at mach speed. Yeah sure why not, lets give that to your cub.
You get a Marcus plushie and a crepper glitter bomb.
I like how the motion inputs were *noticeably* more cooperative this time compared to the Star Wars session, almost like RT is wearing a shirt, and general outfit, that doesn't count as camoflauge this time lol. If only Star Wars had gotten this outfit, and this game of all games had gotten the funny camo one lol.

My dog had renal kidney failure a year or so ago and there was no recovering from that, so I know how it feels to lose a beloved pet.

My only memory of this game was the fact I quit it a few hours in, and my sister continued playing. Apparently, if you unlock all the areas and such, you can unlock a Saber-tooth Tiger cub. So that was cool.

This was probably the very first game I actually finished. As a person who very rarely fully completes games, this game from when I was younger is one of the only games I’ve completed lol and of all games

Ahh... Yes. It's been a LONG time, but I remember this game...
I remember having fun playing with the cute little animals... And the absolute pain and torture of trying to do precision movements for certain challenges. I mean I beat it, but I definitely never 100%-ed it, much less get the DLC.
Thinking back, Kinect games really were hit-or-miss, weren't they?
Like, there was a Disney theme park one that I remember also being a nightmare to control that I think I played for a total of less than an hour.
However Kinect Joy Ride and Kinect Adventures! were FANTASTIC and the only Kinect games I actively would actively replay. I think they're also the first games EVER that I actually made an effort to earn trophies in?
Also, one last thing, I DON'T REMEMBER RICHARD STEVEN HORVITZ BEING IN THAT GAME I'M SHOCKED I NEVER REALIZED
