Great video…thanks
As usual nice video. Take Care guys!
You guys are always up to something. Going to be tough to load the Spyder in that little camper. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. Stay well.
Started out wet but looks like it turned into a nice day.
Nice video guys. Appreciate you sharing your AirBnB as well. It reminds us of one we spent a recent weeend in with our friends, minus the hot tub. LOL
Wish you luck on your continued search for travel method #2.
Ooooh... camping toys, my wallet would get a workout 😳😁🤗
Looks like a beautiful morning! Our nephew and his wife love overlanding. We have thought of a trailer (for when Tommy starts Spyder riding) but honestly, we are not sure of how much money we would be saving...if you're boondocking, yes, big savings...campgrounds we have found to be not inexpensive...we paid $50 for a tent site with electric several places. Cabins ranged from $50 to $75 and up. A lot of our hotels we find on Priceline are around $100. Spyder Wayne has told us with his mini mate that his rear Spyder tire has only lasted for 7,000 miles. For AirB&B's , we don't expect anything in the kitchen so that when we do find one with "stuff" it's always a nice surprise! That looks like a nice AirB&B you found. What is the weight of the hiker trailer? Looks like you learned a lot!
I Googled it and saw 2,200 lbs and a very high price. I could have the wrong one but it appeared to be the smallest they have.
I ran the numbers, its about 20 nights per year to break even over hotels. Also there is a consistency with bed comfort you can not find in hotels or Air BNB's.
John and Miriam the research is over pulled trigger and get out camping LOL.
This must be Plan C or D. We may be at Plan N before money is exchanged. Sigh*. Keeps John off the streets though!
I'm suspecting what was delivered to the driveway. 🤔
What does that camper weigh.nice video
With average add on's, about 1200
Not cheap either. Would be great with my Tacoma Off Road.
The base model starts at $5,999, but with all the add ons, it could be up to $19,000
I would assume the road weight, GVWR, GAWR, and tongue weight would vary depending on how you have the Hiker Trailer configured. From the pics you showed, it looked like it may be too big for Spyder towing.
Correct, the average empty weight of about 1200 lbs. Its too heavy for the spyder.
Greetings from Belgium - Europe 🇧🇪 First, thank you for all your previous videos that convinced me to get a late 2022 Can Am Spyder RT Limited. Watching this latest video, given the trailer system, I have the impression that you will stop the Can Am. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe not. Could you enlighten us please, thank you and take care. Kind regards
Désolé pour les fautes en anglais ...
Your English is perfect! No, we won’t stop riding our Spyder. We are just exploring some other travel options as we consider a very long trip to points north in two years. We hope that you are loving your 2022 RT!
@@miriambryant1896 Thank you very much for your response and your kindness! It really makes me happy to know that you are not going to stop driving your Spyder ✌️ Until last May, I had a BMW R1250 RT but at 65 years old, it was becoming very heavy for me. I was morally sad to have to stop the motorcycle. then in July I think, I discovered your CZcams channel by chance. Wow! Then in the days that followed, again by chance, I came across a Can Am here in Belgium. I knew instantly that this was THE solution for me. During my first visit to a dealership, there are very few in Belgium, I was able to do a test, he had a superb opportunity with less than a year and 1500 km on the clock, I signed immediately. My wife and I are very happy and grateful for this opportunity as a wink from God telling me, no it's not over for me... We are planning a road trip to Scotland and one to Ireland for 2024 if possible. Life goes on and thanks again for your CZcams work! God bless you 🙏
It makes us so happy to read this! Scotland and Ireland in 2024 - wow! Welcome to the worldwide Spyder community! Safe travels to you.
So , is that trailer small enough to pull with the Spyder?
No, much too weight, about 1200 lbs, its for "Mode 2" Travel
are going to tow with spyder
The Stinger trailer is to take the spider behind the SUV for some trips. We are looking at a camper trailer for a different format trip and the spider may have to be included in those trips
How many Hotel/motel rooms can you by for the price of the Hiker Tear Drop? Just sayin. Not my original thought, A late member of the Ga Sidecar club Asked that question. I thought it profound..
As did we,,, the hiker is now off the table!
