    Hitman: Agent 47 is the new movie adaptation of the stealth-and-cover video game...and you all know how much I love movies based on video games! Here we're dissecting some of the movie details, specifically the ultra futuristic armor that John Smith sports to try to take down Agent 47. We'll be looking at the latest in high-tech armor and figuring out whether it's actually possible to create bullet-proof skin.
    When we came up with the idea for this Film Theory, Fox said they'd like to sponsor us! A big thanks to them for their support in making this video happen and letting us take a sneak peek at the film to make sure we got our facts straight!

    So yeah, you might not get penetrated by a hot metal object, but you're getting decked in the face at a max of 60,000 psi, and while even graphene could stop a huge amount of that pressure, it's still going to feel like you're getting hit by a two inch truck.

    To get blood into the skin (and to allow for sweating and such) there would have to be weak points in the armour. So, sure, he could have it across his chest, but that skin would surely be dying and he could be shot or stabbed elsewhere...

    Graphene is ridiculously conductive... which makes it perfect for being a subdermal skin layer in a thunderstorm. Sure, electricity will be drawn to you, but the electricity will just conduct THROUGH the graphene instead of your body (as long as there's enough to draw a significant amount of the current)
    Sort of like how you're told to hide in a car during a thunderstorm. The car might attract lightning - but it just travels through the metal around the car to the ground.
    Likewise, if you truly had graphene beneath your skin (all of your skin) the lightning would hit your head, travel through the graphene around you, and then come out your toes into the ground, with you unharmed.

      MSTe98 Ad targeting. Google's ad system allows companies to target ads against videos/channels that have audiences who are going to be interested in their product. So, if I'm marketing Hitman, you can bet I would be targeting my ads against any video with "Hitman" in the title. Probably the Bourne movies too and other action/spy-related terms. OR take another example -- if I'm Nintendo and promoting Mario Maker, I'm going to ensure my ads are being run against all videos relating to Mario, Zelda, Splatoon, etc.!

I assume this armor would be behind the living, regenerating layer, which means that new skin should still grow on the outside of the armor. He would need openings for blood flow and such to get to the living cells on the outside of the armor for that to work, though, or it would just die off..

    Sadly, as he is wearing it under his skin the bullet would still hit the skin, ripping through it until it reached the graphene armor. It would be immensely better and more protective to wear it like a morph suit, you (assumably) wouldn't need eye holes as it is so thin and I'm guessing it is breathable because of its thickness. Because of the way it stops bullets you would probably still get bruised but you would (almost definitely but not certainly) not die. This isn't a recent video so idk who will see this but I am hoping someone does.

      @Jake Render, it's too thin to see, so if I put it on you would see right through it. Someone stealing it is a small matter that isn't a big issue as long as you can find a way to protect it when it's not being worn. You could wear a suit underneath the graphene for insulation, or even some rubber underneath it to protect from any electrical shocks from its super-conductive properties.

    If Graphene is super flexible the bullet may not pierce the skin but it will still leave very severe contusions (bruises) and the high probability of internal organ rupture. If you have seen a person who has been shot while wearing kevlar they are not 100% unharmed.

    • @adrianftw973
      @adrianftw973 Před 6 lety

      The impact is the one damaging you. If you shoot a person wearing kevlar you are bruising him because it dosent take 100% of the impact. With graphite however....

      @genocidalsanta3781 Před 6 lety

      So, the way I see it, hydrostatic shock would still cause some form of internal damage given that the video states, "Graphene will bend, but won't break". Hence the graphene would carry the energy into the body (granted, at a much, MUCH smaller amount) but I would imagine the water in your cells would still carry the energy over and, with enough bullets or with big enough bullets (say, going from .45 ACP rounds in Agent 47's Silverballers to a .308 round rifle round)m I'd imagine internal organ rupturing would still be possible.
      Plus, the graphene bends. Meaning it would still be pushed into your body from the bullet impact which I'd imagine would be horrifically painful.
      Anyone smart know if that's correct or if I'm just talking out of my ass? :P

    Even if it was bullet proof, he would still be seriously injured. The material would need to spread the force of the bullet impact over a very large area in order for him to not have internal bleeding/bones breaking. If you get shot in the chest by a shotgun using buckshot and you are wearing some serious Kevlar, you are still going to have some insane bruises. If he were to get shot in the head, the force could probably indent his skull and kill him. Just because the material is bullet proof doesn't mean that you are not taking the full force of the bullet.

    • @Chaotixs11
      @Chaotixs11 Před 8 lety +2

      +Daniel Havlat The tests on graphene that the video mentions says that graphene spreads out the force of bullets to stop them. So as far as your "the material would need to spread the force of the bullet impact..." line goes, it does do exactly that.

    • @danielhavlat6461
      @danielhavlat6461 Před 8 lety +2

      +LegendofSleek Yes, but on what scale? If the spread is minimal it can mess you up pretty good, especially with higher caliber or heavier bullets. Nearly everything spreads the impact of a bullet, while some do it vastly better than others.

    • @briansouthparkstudio1357
      @briansouthparkstudio1357 Před 8 lety +1

    • @paultubbs2275
      @paultubbs2275 Před 8 lety

      not exactly, shotgun "shot" is a bad example, the energy IS significant, but spread over a large area. Bullets condense the "energy dump" into a smaller area.

    • @paultubbs2275
      @paultubbs2275 Před 8 lety

      and serious armor, such as bomb disposal types, would straight laugh at buckshot. Like trying to kill someone by angrily throwing skittles at them. Slugs on the other hand, would at least knock them on their ass. Armor being heavy as fuck, and the energy transfer would unbalance them, if not breaking through
