BIG SHOUT OUT TO OUR Y&F LEGENDS MEMBERS:
Mohammed Soliman, - Zábava
Fats had a T-Rex nightmare the same night this was recorded… not joking either 🦖
LORD OF THE RINGS!!!
I really enjoy your reactions ..some I watch are just over the top praising of our country and it seems fake and I feel embarrassed watching them Ty for just being real :) from Missouri USA ..
I’ve been watching Jurassic Park since I was three and every time I mention to my mom that I had a dream about dinosaurs she worries for a moment. Sometimes they’re tense but I love them!
I’m also about to be 33 😂
You guys should do movie reactions
I love what you guys do, I only discovered you recently, but already subbed. But I do wish the video on the bottom was larger. I usually have to zoom in to even see the video somewhat properly, which cutz half 6our faces out of frame. Just a suggestion from an American fan of yours.
The second one was the Lord of the Rings, Eye of Sauron.
I've watched this a bunch of times, and a LOT of people don't get that one. I'm not sure why, though.
@@Darth_LunasI was about to comment the same thing
The announcer said from the fires of Mount Doom also.. but I guess if you're not a LOTR that's not a very big clue :)
So I am from Michigan (the team their boat shot down.)..UofM and OSU are rivals...so when a Michigander tells you that OSU has the best band its coming from a very genuine place.
As an OSU fan, respect 🤝
I'm a Michigan fan and this is one of my favorite videos to watch non-Americans react to.
Another OSU fan - w/respect!
Bucknut hear. Sincerely, thanks for beating us and making it a great rivalry again. We lost you there for a while👍
Rivals? There's a gentle euphemism.
What's really amazing is that these are students. If they make the band, it is one of their classes. So along with all the work they put in to the band, they have other classes too
I have to state the obvious... remember these band members not only have to play well, but remember every step of where they're supposed to be at the same time. I can't even imagine how that's done! Lol
Thanks for the reaction! ❤
I'm glad you did this reaction. I'm not from Ohio and never went to school there (I went to Wisconsin), but in my opinion, Ohio has the best University band.
My brother was in the famous marching band for the University of Notre Dame thirty years ago. They practiced as much or nearly as much as the (American) football team, 5-6 days per week. The band even has its own football field to practice on, separate from the practice field for the football team. I don't remember how large the band was then, but it currently has about 380 members. Every year he would need to leave home for a week after Christmas to travel halfway or all the way across the country to where the "Bowl Game" was being played. It was an enormous commitment, without any financial compensation.
It's Superman, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean
You need to watch OSU Marching Band at Wembley in England!! Also, they do an awesome Disney Movie halftime show which is absolutely fabulous!
PS: The T-Rex is eating a Michigan player - Our huge long time rival in the Big 10 - also that's why we sink their ship!
i was in band in high school... we only had a week to get things together as well for competitions and half time shows but it was worth the hard work and fun
"You can tell they do this often, it's their PROFESSION". Nope, not their "Profession", they're just normal College Students with all their other regular studies/courses as well. But, I get what your thinking was when you said that.
They are not professional band members. These are College students who play in the band. Some will probably go on to professional careers in the music or the entertainment world, but most will not.😊
You may want to also check out the Texas A&M band (The Aggies). They do very intricate marching, check out their "four way cross". It's also very impressive.
My husband and I met because of our love for Jurassic Park! We live in Colorado and my dad is a geologist that also loves dinosaurs and knows paleontologists. My husband has also written a series of four novels about dinosaurs 😊🦖
He’s also an OSU fan 😂
This is why The Ohio State University Marching Band is known as "The Best Damn Band in the Land!" Ohio State University is only 10 minutes away from my apartment. Over 17,000 people can sit in the stands. The second one is "The Eye of Sauron" from The Lord of the Rings. Don't feel bad if you did not see that image. Many CZcamsrs think that looks like a purse or a handbag. LOL. You should react to the Ohio State University Marching Band Tribute to The British Invasion which the band performed at Wembley Stadium in London England during the NFL Demonstration Games.
I think you guys would also enjoy watching the OSU pregame march into the stadium and the pregame welcome, etc. Quite a spectacle to see the band quick-step to the beat in perfect precision. Search for their November game against Michigan state. its about 18 MINUTES long.
They are students at the university and take all their classes as well as band and practice.
I swam for Ohio State back in the 60s so this is such a treat to watch. If you haven't seen them do the Script Ohio yet it's pretty good. They only performed it for special games each season.
Check out the Buckeyes marching band's performance in London! You'll love it!
Wembley Stadium.
Greetings from ⭕️-HI-⭕️!
I’m glad you’re enjoying “The best damn band in the land”. I think you would really enjoy their performance of British rock ‘n’ roll at Wembley Stadium. Keep rock’n! 🤟🏻
The Buckeye marching band's secret is a customized computer program that allows them to 'draw' their routines on the screen, which breaks down each band members distance and direction of steps for a routine. Each band member gets a tablet that teaches them those steps to be studied before and after practice preceding the game.
I wouldn't say that is their secret to success. Before the tablet it was a bunch of dots on a bunch of paper. The tablet makes it easier to learn and a lot less to carry around.
That is like saying to secret to the success of a football team is the play being on a tablet.
I would say their secret to success is practice and talent
London 2015 NFL pre-game show , It's one of their best and it's all about your Brits ! Except for the ending which is " Script Ohio " The most famous college tradition of the USA .
you should watch the OHIO ST band at wembley stadium . they put on halftime show in london .
There’s a movie called “Drumline” pretty good movie about drumming
There are scholarships given to many marching band members.
I read Ohio State members practice 20-30 hours a week during the football season.
There also is an event called a "Skull Session" at Ohio State that is held a couple hours before the game. It's held indoors at the 17,000 seat basketball areans. So marching is limited. This became a very hot ticket, and they've live streamed this for the past few years.
Superman, Lord of the Rings (Sauron, the eye), Harry Potter (catching the snitch), Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean.
For the T-Rex, apparently they got a Michigan University student to be the guy that got eaten since this was a OSU/Michigan game, lol.
Having lived in a dorm right next to the field the OSU band practices on (very early in the morning, btw), I can tell you that they work on these performances for much longer than just 1 week! Very meticulous practices. I could probably suit up and I've never played an instrument in my life.
These are all University students pursuing degrees and they do this on the side, so they cannot practice non-stop! Most of them were in marching band in highschool, so they have gotten good at learning the music and routines quickly. They perform at every home football game, and they don't repeat routines, so depending on the team's schedule, sometimes they have 2 or 3 weeks between performances, sometimes more or less. 🤠
University marching bands are highly competitive with each other. The black universities have some really great competitions that are fun to watch, a lot of showmanship in them with the Drum Majors.
People do these choreography, all over the world, and I am always awed by them... You know it took a lot of time, dedication, and practice.
Would you please do their video game tribute one as well as Wembleyshire? Both are super amazing ones.
There was a band concert at the football game!
you should watch when they were in London for a show and also their opening performance SCRIPT OHIO FTW!!! and they have it licensed....they are "THE best d@mn band in the land!" or TBDBITL
TBDBITL … The Best Damn Band In The Land. The band director maps this out on an iPad and they perform at every home game. Many times that’s every week they have to learn a new routine.
Hummm, holding a door closed from a chasing T-Rex. Ok, yeah that would work. 🤣
I’ve been to Columbus a buckeye game is crazy!
The band members are also full time students!
OSU band also does a halftime tribute to the music of QUEEN .
College half time shows in football can be very good. Y'all need to checkout the Texas A&M marching band, they are more military style with very difficulty formations marching while playing instruments. They are very impressive.
They performed Wembly and did a tribute to England
TBDBITL: The Best Damn Band in the Land. Life-long THE Ohio State University fan, and always will be.
Hay, you guys should see a few of the HBCU bands as well. The concepts are mostly the same, but the culture is completely different.
Over a 100k in that stadium
If you have never seen a DCI (drum corp international) corps these are 16-21 year olds only. The corps (pronounced "core") play only in the summers and compete against other corps all over the US during the summer during school break. The music is usually written specifically for the performance they do. They only use brass and drums. Here is an example. czcams.com/video/skfQZLlDJ1w/video.html Also these are usually the length of a football halftime show but obviously not performed during a game just in competition.
It's lord of the RINGS.
-4:04 The Eye of Sauron, "The Lord of the Rings"....
--7:34 We don't feel bad for the guy, he is from the rival school, no major loss.....
If you want to see a point of view of what it's like to march in the band during pre-game, here's a great video. You'll see what precision it takes to do it and also, what you hear in the stands and on the video is not what you hear playing on the field....
czcams.com/video/qPbjJafRUFk/video.html
If you want to see the stands view, here you go. It rarely changes, but this one had the Alumni Band performing as well....
czcams.com/video/zF29h1209Js/video.html
Hi Yass & Fats, In America there's alot of attention given to college & professional sports' and that's the all knowing eye of Seruman on mount doom
This is just your average Saturday afternoon at a Football game... There are a few great marching bands...
These are college students who have regular classes everyday just like any other college student so this isn’t their profession nor do they have hours and hours to practice everyday. And they still have homework in their other classes to do each day as well plus have to keep their grades up to be a part of the band.
Check out their Disney Tribute
The pregame shows are great to watch as well!
Proud Buckeye! O-H!
I-O!
I O
I-O!
I really enjoyed that.
The something you could to to experience if live- the NFL plays games over your way, start a letter campaign to have them bring marching bands with them!
TBDBITL, LOL, The Best Damn Band In The Land! I am a born and bred Ohioan, and DIE HARD Buckeye fan! We are known for having the best damn fans in the land as well, lol!
Keep in mind they are like 18 to 21/22 year old kids
You would like the OSU Disney Tribute.
The Baddest Band in the Land
Again, as a Buckeye through and through - this IS The Best Damn Band in the Land! Go BUCKS!! (To the Wisconsin guy below - thank you to a fellow Big 10 Team!!)
By the way - NO they don't practice NON-STOP - they are full time students!! They do however have to put in a lot of hours during football season after classes etc., but that was same for high school during football season - long after school practices - but it's worth it!!
There is a reason we are called TBDITL
There are more videos out there to include prescribe and a go pro view
Did you see when they were in London. Tere are two one where they did there show in Wembley. The other where they were marching in the streets of London.
Please react to the Ohio State University Band’s tribute to veterans. I’m curious to know how many of the songs that you’ll know and of one British tune that we borrowed for our own purposes.
Check out Texas A&M Marching Band.
can you two react too the A-10 warthog getting hit over 100 times by ground to air artillery fire? the plane takes so many hits that it is almost unflyable, but the female pilots holds her shit together then flies it 200 miles back to the air field! i have never seen any other reaction channels react to it.
Col. Kim “Killer Chick” Campbell.
She was actually believed to be hit by a shoulder held Surface to Air Missile (SAM) while providing Close Air Support for pinned down US troops in Baghdad.
She lost all hydraulics and had to return to base in what they call “manual reversion”.
Imagine driving a car when the power steering pump goes out.
Another A10 pilot had tried to land in manual reversion not that long prior and crashed upon landing and was killed.
Imagine having that going through your mind when you’re flying.
The A10 is a damn tough bird.
Even though the band took the piss out of Michigan a couple times, this show is not from the Michigan game. We just never pass up an opportunity.
These are students at the University not pros. They work very hard to master these. The competition to get in the band is as high as for the football team.
React to some African American ( HBCU- Historically Black Colleges & University) marching bands. They are funky as all get out. It’s a whole SHOW.
Best Damn Band in the Land (tho I don't want you demonetized, so cool enough the way you said it ;) ) Tho remember college kids.... But also college kids that did this all through Jr. High, High School and now, College (so 6th-13th grade or from age 11-18 give or take a year Then college depending upon degree... age 17-25 (ho potentially up to 29?, maybe? But doubtful).
Good reaction 👍
the tribute they did to Michael Jackson is the best one i’ve seen
GO BLUE!!!! 💙💙
These are students that make up the band.
That stadium holds over 105,000 people and it’s shaped like horseshoe. Next time I go by it I can take a pic and send to you guys
this game wasnt even against michigan. the rivalry so deep both teams hate each other all year
You should watch Cavalcade of Bands for competition of bands.
No one gets the Lord of the Rings! Ive watched at least 10 reacters and no one guessed it!
Michigan is are biggest rival Biggest rival in all college football
So these are all college students. They have just under a week in most cases to learn and perform these in addition to their classes.
Fun fact America doesn't really have their own nachinol food just adopted it and changed it.
And it's lord of the rings.
They did it in England to when the NFL came. And what do you think about the NFL having a team I. England.
Yass and Fats......what type of half-time entertainment do you have for your sporting events in the U.K?
You should check out there.Michael jackson half time show
Sorry missed the 2nd B
Do u have any idea how difficult that is to do? TBDBITL!
..
Rivalery
👍👍
And when you come over hear. When you talk to someone and you ask about food. The us is a true melting pot.
This link is a documentary about The Ohio State Marching Band. Be the first to do a reaction to it: czcams.com/video/DAh-UeafILc/video.htmlsi=S3fxhto9fW8EYZZP TBDBITL 141
O-H-
Hi Yass and Fats, love your channel and content. If you can please react to the fat electrian Sargent reckless the war horse. Thank You.
Lord Of The Rings.
Hey guys would yall do a reaction on the ryan preece nascar crash and do a few on nascar please
not thier profession, while some may go on to be pro musicians most are just students at Ohio State University and will go on to do something completely different in life
Texas A&M Aggies is mind blowing also you need to check them out to. ❤
The best marching band in Texas, if not the world. Their precision is awesome! 👍
@@jamesjones8482 😉👍❤️
@@jamesjones8482I admit they are a great marching band, but you can't be the best in the world if you aren't even the best in the US. 😂
O-H
This is NOT their profession. These are college students who practice and perform aside from studying for their degrees and taking classes.
HBCU’s school bands are more entertaining, you two should check them out
It's not their profession. They are all current Ohio State University college (university) students working towards their degrees. You cannot be in the marching band if you are not. The marching band is an extracurricular activity completely independent of their academic studies.
Do you know they played for the queen over in Europe
Lord of the rings
