- The Black Pearl is finally in my collection. The ship is actually quite small and doesn't have much going for it outside of those dark sails. As always, I do my best to modify it to try to make it as large as possible. Let me know what you think of the changes.

I recently found this set collecting dust under my bed. It is still factory sealed in the box with a Lego store sticker that reads $99.99. Only after some research did I discover what a grail this was.
I recently just bought a black pearl and built it so i just found your video I love the way she looks after you beefed up the ship I would like to do that. Great review

I managed to get a 65% complete black pearl, with ALL the sails and hull pieces for 75$, I have yet to complete it, but given how much a complete black pearl costs I think that was a good deal.

That’s a great upgrade on the Black Pearl. I think the Pirate section could end up taking over a large portion of the lower part of the city.
Your modification definitely looks better, but I agree it does look a little short given how tall it is.
Yeah I agree I think the Pearl is too short but that would just bump up the price. The minifigures are the main attraction to this set IMO. Great modifications! 👍
Congrats on finally getting your own Black Pearl! It's on my "didn't purchase regret list" too lol, but I'm glad you can now tick it off yours. It's a tricky set to modify well without another middle hull piece, but I am glad the set didn't have a round back as that's not accurate to the ship in the films, although they do look amazing on Lego ships, but I think the back shape of the 21322 Barracuda Bay ship is quite similar to the Black Pearl so maybe you can replicate something like that? That's sort of what I have done in Lego Digital Designer as that's the best I can do for now lol, but I have hope that I'll one day have a physical Lego Black Pearl myself too. Great job overall with the parts you have and I especially like your anchor mechanism and rum cellar! :)

By the looks of the sails i would gues it is a fake one lol...i have the same one ....you know the empirial flagship is truly the gratest ship lego has ever made, i could never buy one so in desperation i bought a fake one...could understand if Alex did the same ;)

I found my black pearl in like new condition with a figs, box and manuals as well as a bunch of other sets from the wave in the same condition for 50$ at a yard sale

tbh, the interior looks beautiful but the back section is really rough and the ship in general should be shorter in my opinion.

I looked into this set, but for the amount it inflated to and the actual build, i dont think its worth the cost. I just dont think the ship looks that good

Lego has become a pretty bad greedy company in my opinion. Over priced inaccurate models missing many characters looking at you lotr sets!!! I have always preferred mega bloks pirates line or bootlegs which are better and inexpensive or you pay for what you get and boi what you bought is WORTH every penny. Literally aliexpress is a treasure trove for lego customs or mini fig collectors
