I like how this guy presents his reviews. He gets to it and and keeps your attention. He does waist time time on all the technology on the center dash screen. For me I want to know the engine size sound, ride, passenger comfort and storage. .. Problem for me is , I want a 6.2 regular cab 2 WD long bed. Its a vehicle they will probably never make. I'm from an era where the engine size was the option and not technology.

Thanks, I’m glad you appreciate my style! 🙂 I hear you, that would be cool to still have those customizations options. I’d also love a 6.2 regular cab with a factory warranty but without cylinder deactivation as that’s caused a number of engine failures.

I’ve ordered my new High Country max tow pkg. It is my 3rd 6.2L. I’ve never had an issue. Nock on wood. 140000 on my current Denali. Love to hear what new exhaust sounds like.

Heh, you know I've been looking all over for sound clips of the new active exhaust... nothing... 😅

@@Knight21030 I found one under 2024 Silverado on you tube. It’s ok, kind of a tease. I think under 2024 active exhaust.

I honestly can’t remember (without watching my video) if I included an exhaust rev, but I hope I did?! 😬 I’ve been trying to do better about including that on each of my new videos, at least if it’s one worth listening to, lol.

You said 6 finger handle?! I'd get the 6th one removed off that hand if possible.
On a side note, test the button out on the rear of the running boards!

the dynamic fuel mgmnt issues scares the hell out of me for both the 5.3 and 6.2 otherwise its a winner

I know, right?! I’ve always loved the 6.2, but at this point I’m unsure in the V8’s or the 4 cylinders are the better gamble. 🤷‍♂️😅

Failure numbers vs production numbers are so low, even if you hear of a few hundred trucks collapsing lifters, that pales in comparison to the production numbers in the millions. Besides, regarding the lifter failures, you can't be sure how many are due to deferred maintenance. Oil changes on these engines are critical and can't be ignored. I have a 2020 6.2 HC Silverado at 88Kmi and haven't had any issues yet.
For every 5 complaints, there are 20 trucks that never see an issue 👍

I've got a 2023 LTZ crew 1500 with the 5.3, changed the exhaust on it and would hear the truck "cutting the cylinders" it killed me and Hated the noise. I ended up figuring out that driving the truck in "L9" vs "D" keeps the truck on 8 cylinders the whole time. Yes you do miss out on the 10th gear, but that gear is extremely short anyways, you aren't missing out on much.

@@dion24B What exhaust did you go with?
Yeah, any aftermarket exhaust you're going to hear the DFM more. Check out Range AFM/DFM disablers. It's a device you plug into your OBD port, you can have all 10 gears and no DFM transitions.

Other than the leather seats i don't see much difference from the LT trim....

Good point. Plus, the leather seats turn to trash real quick if you let your doggy ride with you.

You should find a HC or Denali that has the adaptive ride control suspension and compare them. You mentioned a lot that that standard suspension rolls a lot, wonder if ARC is the same?

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Před 10 měsíci

That a great suggestion and it would be cool to experience the difference back to back! I honestly have difficulty imagining it would be much better though, lol. But I could be wrong. I never realized how much body roll trucks have and how bad they change directions until I started my channel and had the opportunity to test drive better performing vehicles back to back. 😅😝

It appears to have a low bed payload - anything less than one long ton in the UK is classed as a motor car, not a truck.

  • @wildandblueZL1

Zonk!! No Silverado 1500’s are made in Michigan or Ohio. In fact no Silverado whatsoever are made in Ohio. 1500’s are assembled in Ft Wayne Indiana, Oshawa Ontario Canada, and Silao Mexico.

Most of these expensive trucks are likely leased and then traded in for a lesser valued truck as to avoid a car payment.
