Oh yeah that explains the cigar, to raise awareness for not smoking indoors.

The cup was full of soda so it would leak out the bag everywhere
I feel like Nacho was really trying to help by getting Lyle to call Gus instead of cops
Probably because he knows Hector's behavior and wants to avoid trouble
Well if it was up to me I would of called gus as well
If you could avoid more trouble than there really needs to be, i would’ve too. Those guys are crazy af lol
Of course he’d stop him from calling the cops lol
It really did, Nacho may be in a hard life but Nacho has a heart still. Nacho has plenty of human moments in the series, but.. I think this one showed a lot.
Hector trying to be nice is terrifying.

I love how he sticks the chicken wing inside the guys pocket
I bet he still ate it
That's alpha behavior at its finest.
And yes...if at any point in your life you allowed someone to stick a fried chicken drumstick in the front pocket of your best dress shirt...sorry my brethren...you are not alpha.
Thanks Sherlock, I didn’t see that
Jejejje
I know this was a deleted scene but I really love how this show drives home just how much of a big man Hector acted like before his disability. During Breaking Bad you see him get more and more humbled, but this puts it into a better perspective
I mean here it looks like he just wants friends but doesn't know how to make conversation lmao

@@scottvelez3154 same I want murder, but I rather make friends

I like how Hector poured himself a drink and then immediately threw it away, he wasn't demonstrating his power over Gus, he was testing it.
And that's when the cup turned into Heisenburg.
Shows tend to do that a lot though. Look at Westworld for example, a character lights a smoke and buts it out after literally single puff. And its not even a real puff because you never see the smoke leave their mouth.
@@ThisHandleSystemCanGetNicked good catch, i do believe mostly have empty cups if they drink weren't that integral to the scene since they need to talk clearly, based on the script. but i think OP didn't mean what you're mentioning here, it wasn't about the technicality of it.
that is the moment when hector became the cup
he knows soda is a junk drink and doesn't eat junk fried pigtail :) yet I don't know why being so healthy and still got stroke

I like the implication that Hector must have eaten several fried pig's tails in his lifetime
Glad they cut this scene but I think they should have kept the part where Lyle tries to reach to phone so that would have explained how Gus came to the local.
Your nuts. This scene is becoming one of my favorites!
@@johnvalencia9927 it's good but feels unnecessary and it may have ruined the pace of the episode.
Yeah It's unnecessary
are you german? "local" doesn't mean "(Speise)lokal" in english :D
it would feel out of place to try to call 911 just because hector entered the place. you would need the whole scene to understand why an employee would try to call 911. i think thats why they kept the whole thing out and let the viewer guess
So nice of Hector to let Nolan take the drumstick to go.
Hector probably doesn't intend to harm any of the customers. He's probably thinking he may as well damage Gus' reputation as a restaurant owner while he's waiting for Gus. So by letting these people go, they spread the word that Los Pollos has something sketchy going on behind the scenes.
I love how when Hector walked up to that old couple, he didn't intimidate or scare them, he simply just asked: "I'm sorry, what did you say?" Goes to show that he has some form of respect for the elderly. Of course we knew this since he wanted Tuco to think the same.
Tio taught Tuco well. What a great guy. And such a lovely mijo too. Must be a warm and loving family.

2:00-2:20. All kidding aside, Nacho saved a ton of lives when he confronted Lyle. Lyle was about to call the police and things would turn violent in a finger snap.
I like how Hector knew Lyle was only doing his job, and thus, didn't kill him. Lyle was insanely O.P. though, Hector is lucky he ended up crippled instead of dust.
Civilian deaths are horrible for the cartel, particularly north of the border

Hector trying to remember how to interact with normal people
There's a deep sadness to the way Hector says "Good afternoon, Señorita" at 0:29. He takes a sigh of futility, like he's remembering all the times he said it as a young man to girls who might actually want to talk to him. I feel like he was earnestly indulging in nostalgia for that when he tried to talk to her, and to the teenage girls about fried pigtail - he's not sneering at them or *trying* to mess with them, but still painfully knows he's an old man who just makes them uncomfortable. We also don't know if Hector was ever a charmer like Lalo in his youth, or if he's always gone through life having to threaten and intimidate people into tolerating him, and resenting everyone for it.
Yet, if the Hector of a few years later were somehow restored to the level of youth and mobility he has here, he'd be elated.
Great comment. Maybe the reason he was so close to all his nephews- he never had kids of his own

(Edit: I meant Lyle, not Lionel. Damn you, auto correct spelling!!! Color me embarrassed and too busy to dibble check my miss steaks…😱)

Twisters, the chain they based Pollos Hermanos off, has curly fries. They’re REALLY good. Twisters is mostly burritos and they’re a solid 10/10
That sucks. You have a decent small scene, you're excited, told your friends to watch, and then it was cut.
Maybe I'm not remembering what happens after this scene, but like, what if Nolan Miller there walks out, then immediately dials 911 and says some gangsters just walked into los pollos and started intimidating customers and employees? I mean they can stop Lyle from doing it, or leave right after he calls, but if Nolan or any other customers did, they wouldnt know until the cops were there. Then they're all in jail until they get bailed out for trespassing at least. I get it shows how rectless hector could be but really someone who walked out would've called the cops.
they haven’t exactly done anything that illegal here, worse case they’d get a small fine, plus there’s the fact that the police probs know not to fuck with them
In this timeline (in the past), how common were cell phones?
@@JudeLind You're thinking of Mexico or you watch too many movies lol. In the US, the cops fear no 'drug lord' . . . US cops cannot be bribed these days, or even back in 2004. Big drug lords have tried to bribe cops, and they say it doesn't work. A famous drug lord in New York City said "I'll say one thing about the cops, they can't be bought. We tried. We offered them 1 million, 2 million, and they wouldn't accept. If there's anything to say about them, they cannot be bought"
I think the reason isn't because they're so upstanding. I think these days the police are so micromanaged. You can't just bribe a police chief and then he just gives the orders to not arrest soandso. Word gets around. And if a cop is caught taking a bribe, that's a horrible charge. That's a felony and you'll spend 25 years in jail. Cops would rather take their 80 grand a year and their 3 million dollar pension. So rest assured, if one of thsoe civillians called the cops, they'd have no problem arresting Hector and his men.
That's one unrealistic thing about this show. The criminals have too much confidence. In the USA, the criminals are scared shitless. In Mexico, they run the country. There's a big difference. Criminals in the US are constantly looking over their shoulders, terrified of the sight of a cop. They're a bunch of cowards.
Organized crime figures paying off the cops is a thing of the past. That probably hasn't been done successfully since body cams were passed into federal law. . . .
