The scene where the brothers walk thru the shop was better, both were good but i prefer the one with no dialogue where they dont have to spell put how powerful lalo is.
1:12 It's a small detail, but I appreciate the fact that Lalo said " the old guy", because it just reminded me that he's full on Mexican and odds are he doesn't know too much American history let alone the faces on the US dollar bills. Kinda like how I would react if I saw people on the Peso banknotes, I would say the same thing. Just one of those cultural differences that I would not think about until they hit me with it.

Lalo with the money, reminds me of that scene when Tuco was counting the money and he flipped one of the Dollar bills. I guess all the Salamancas are the same.
Except for Hector who sent all his money to Don Eladio rolled up with rubber bands while Gus has his money neatly stacked and encased in plastic.
When I sold weed (it's legal up here, I can admit it now) in college (I also had a job and grants+loans...man I was rich for a 19 year old), my supplier was the kind of guy who wanted all the bills in the same direction, and have the 5's and 10's be at the bottom of the 20's. He was taking himself a bit too seriously but I guess at his level they all gotta have some attitude. He's working in construction now, not surprising, guys in construction typically all have that "EVERYTHING MUST BE FUCKIN STRAIGHT LIKE MY FATHER TAUGHT ME".
I guess it's all stems from Hector's resentment and jealousy when Gus shipped the money all neat and wrapped and Eladio scolded him for his rolls.

I wish they kept the deleted scene of Jimmy walking out. It shows that he has a level of self awareness as to what he did and shows a hint of remorse. Something that was quite common during Breaking Bad. Especially when he had Francesca call Hank to impersonate a hospital receptionist.

Eladio responds purely to cash, sure, but Lalo's observed that he's arbitrarily decided he likes how neat and uniform Gus is, so Lalo's going to ensure even the bills are in great shape, however many there are. He's trying to beat Gus at his own game in a way Hector just isn't capable of.

Hector would've bitched about Eladio's favoring Gus over him loudly, and Lalo is clearly making a concerted effort to turn things around. The 'neat money' thing is clearly directly from what Eladio said about Gus's bills, whereas the car is something Gus wouldn't really think to do, but that Lalo knows Eladio would like.

Especially the scene where he claims his body double and has to kill him and his wife. He sounds genuinely concerned and interested about their lives, asking about their health and their goats. They feel like his cattle that he loves. You can imagine him wanting their deaths to be painless and quick, as if in some small aspect he regretted the necessity of it. It reminds me of the rage that soured his face as he walked away from the corpses of the staff of his manor after the commando attack.
I mean regardless he's no anti-hero. He is an evil sociopath.
3:25 - Mike is actually giving the wrong advice here. You should not ration water - if you are thirsty you should drink. There have been people found in the desert who died to dehydration with water in their canteens. You should, however, save your piss. Sure it might taste awful, but the water in the piss will help you a little bit, although you should only do it once or twice, due to massive amounts of kidney stress from reprocessing waste, TMYK.

I just finished watching the whole show yet feels like I haven’t even started
I've watched both at least 3 times over and over. There are things that you catch that you did not catch the first time. Really amazing.
I don’t think the Lalo/Nacho cash scene is essential, but I do think it would have been a nice, subtle hint as to what Lalo’s goal is: trying to suck up to Eladio to get him to turn against Fring
Think that was already strongly hinted even in the final version of the ep... people who put that extra oomph into their delivery to impress the boss... even Bolsa did that over Hector previously.
Not just that, Bolsa made it clear him killing that poor clerk, then getting arrested, is damaging to the cartel. He needs to get back in Eladio’s good graces before he’s seen as a liability.
Yeah all of this is canon. The highest of quality writing and performance. So great to see extra touches painted in to the mosaic of the show's story and characters.
I know it makes no sense because of Gus blackmailing him, but I kinda liked the dynamic between Lalo and Nacho, and I really wouldn't have minded if they kept doing that for a few more seasons.

I have personally walked 20 miles in the desert. (Thankfully at night) and it was a bitch. Took a long time and i was wearing vans. As you could guess, it wasn’t a planned walk lol. I made it, but left me with blisters all over my feet.

Drove to Arizona without stopping, loaded his shit, drove back broke down in New Mexico because our belt snapped. And had to walk 20 miles to a gas station to get a number. I can see why they cut these scenes while it’s interesting to see more interactions with lalo jimmy Kim and Mike these don’t really add much more and the runtime was pretty tight as is, eg the tattoo line with the Colombians Mike says as much to gus later on making this scene redundant

Yeah it's really good. Probably just cut for time. Although I wish they included it cause it introduces Kim's second assistant. I don't think we see her in Season 5 at all until the scene where Kim quits S&C.
@@chiefgarvey11 She has one scene in episode 6. She's in the office with Kim and Schweikart when they learn Acker accepted the deal and then she asks the assistant to step out so she can apologize to Rich.
It probably didn't make it because it's the ONLY scene where you actually get to see the size of her breasts, due to the sports bra type of thing she's wearing.
EVERY, and i mean EVERY other scene, even bedroom scenes, has padded/push up bras on her.
As if a woman with breasts that small would wear a fucking bra to bed, + wake up with one on after a night of inferred sex.
It's the only scene where her breasts actually 'bounce'.
The actress has great fucking legs, and nearly every shot that shows them uses camera angles to emphasize them. I think the actress is self conscious about her itty bitty titties.

It's interesting to see Lalo so nervous about making Eladio happy. We're used to seeing Lalo calm and in control, even in the most intense situations. It shows how much power Eladio has.
the idea of jimmy and kim going on a nice little getaway makes me giggle. they'd probably just watch old movies the entire time
