Apperently, the next gen ryzen apus will be around a 4070 in perf, granted these are the high-end desktop apus. Hopefully, they can get the laptop and U series variants to like 4050-4060 performance.. that would be awesome
@fuzzymuppet1990 No way is that possible since it has shared VRAM, which is much slower compared to dedicated ones. Also, there can be only a little performance loss comparing with HS, U since both iGPUs are the same but slightly lower clocked. (G can be a little higher.) So as you say, if the HS iGPU could perform as a 4070, the U variant would definitely be higher than 4060 ti. Although AMD would never do that even if they could because then they would have to kill the entire Radeon m series.

@dilanirupasinghe3056 the 4070 perf was alluded to in there new upcoming desktop strixpoint apus not the mobile variants there going to have up to 40cus and the new mobile variant will have 16cus compared to the 12cus we have now.. so 4 more cus with also better perf/watt also so hopefully 30-40% more igpu perf on mobile variants... this is all leaked stuff, so who knows.
They are making a high-end desktop apu with 16 cores and 40cu's .. my words are fine, but explaining things I strggle with lol 😆

I already purchased it with 820 euros , the screen have 240Hz refresh rate , very strong performance from a very beautiful design , the case , the screen and the keyboard are the strong points .
Everything is on par with other brands except the price which is at least 40% less .....

I already played all my AAA games at a decent frame rates but I use it for creativity 4K , multimedia 4K , and CAD - Catia V5 , my God what a performance for the price , it's better than my working laptop HP / Intel with a dedicated Nvidia Quadro T2000 video card .
if the cinese will maintain this course , in a couple of years we can say Good Bye to the laptop/PC world (and not only ...) as it is today ... at least for the quality / price ratio they are unbeatable even today ...

Laptops with a discrete GPU are mostly classified as gaming laptops as they have more powerful graphics but they are heavy and consume more power. These types of laptops are known as ultrabooks which are thin lightweight laptops which don't consume more power and are meant for workstation or cpu intensive tasks and these laptops come with powerful chipsets like 8845HS.

Price is the only thing letting this laptop down, at nearly $900 you can get pretty much any gaming laptop for that price, that will outperform it, but for an APU it's very impressive.

It is said that it can even run windows copilot offline (but you have to download language model like Llama or Mistral first, which is around 40gbs). Bruh that cpu is a crazy invention. The laptop IS nice, not sure if it's worth the asking price. I'm sure someone will find it appealing, but an Asus G14 2023 normally goes on sale for under $1k and that comes with a dedicated GPU.

U cant put 90 hz i think i tried 2 laptop with 120hz screen and it only can be set to 60 or 120 or dynamic refresh rate

Why can't anyone make a 14" (or smaller) laptop with just a Ryzen APU that isn't like $800+? I just bought a 2022 G14 a month ago for $700 that has a Ryzen 6800HS CPU and 6800S GPU, but I don't really need the GPU. But it couldn't be beat at the price, even compared to laptops with no dGPU.
The Asus Z13 comes with a 4060 in a 2.6 lb tablet. A LG Gram Pro 16 comes with a 3050 in a 2.86 lb package with 16 inch OLED and 90 Wh battery. Why can't somebody make a sub 3 lb laptop with a 4060 with 16 inch OLED and 90 Wh battery?

That's generally a Redmibook Pro 15, but with changed topcase to have numpad. just get 7840HS version of redmibook and don't chase for bigger number, 8845HS is just a refresh, i.e. exact the same chip with a different name.

It's the same price as the Xiaomi Redmibook 15 2023 with the same specs except better memory, MUCH better screen, UHS-II full-size SD card slot but sadly only 16GB max. Another 780M laptop with a dealbreaker. Can't buy a 16GB laptop, can't buy a laptop without a good enough screen as a photo professional nor the lacking UHS-II SD slot.
