- XBox 360 has everyone talking lately BUT for us we've BEEN playing and We're STILL playing Xbox 360 in 2024 and HERE'S WHY!
As much as we love PlayStation we had Xbox 360 YEARS before we jumped into PS3.
Many of the games everyone's scrambling to collect at the moment we loved back in the day.
We've even gone as far as to brand our gameroom bar with Gears of War.
Xbox 360 had a little bit of everything and in this video we grab some of our favorites from our 360 collection.
With 209 games we have curated a variety of favorites and today we're going to take some time to talk about them.
So many co-op games, survival horror and even a few RPG's
OH and did I mention our intense love for Rock Band and Guitar Hero!

SAME! We couldn't quit get to the PS2 but we had a lot of the big ones on XBOX and XBOX 360. Our 360 collection value has grown by over $1000 just in the last month. It's insane where the prices are going

Ahhh man, I wish you could too. For me it was feeling inadequate. I only started playing dual analog 4-5 years ago. Now I feel completely comfortable with any game.

I love the way you guys present things in your videos! I could attempt to do it the same way and it would be freakin’ terrible but you guys have such great on screen chemistry…I know I know your married but the way you two play off one another is perfect. Another one where I didn't get the notification... Awesome suggestions! I'm a bit jealous about that Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold! It's out of my price range and it just keeps going up! And like you said, with the store closing it will only get worst! I need to give myself some goals to play some more 360 eventually, especially since I've bought a bunch lately because of everyone talking about them! I found Neverdead for 17$ cad on eBay because of Steve Craig today! I also need to play Alice. I have it on 360, I just haven't played it yet! I'm just too much invested in newer releases lately! I'm in the same boat. Those brand new sparkly current gen releases get so much love from me that I forget about amazing titles on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 for that matter. Steve, Craig is making us all spend a lot of money lol. I went on eBay looking for prison break and am very sad that it's gone up as much as it has. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for it. Luckily we had never dead already so there's that lol.

Hell yeah, same. Still play 360, PS3 and Wii a lot! More than my Switch and, Series X.
Yeah our Series X was a huge disappointment. 360 and PS3 are awesome. It was a generation of dependable FINISHED at launch games

It’s wild that yall are in this 360 throwback stage right now, I’m 100% in the same boat currently. I played through Red Dead 1, Mafia 2, Gears 2&3, & currently playing The Saboteur. This era was f’n excellent about not over bloating their games. Some great shout outs here tho, Bayonetta, the Gears games, Dead Space, Limbo, etc. also love that yall are spotlighting games that likely won’t spike in value too much. I don’t think people realize that 90% of the best games from “retro” systems are always going to be fairly cheap because they were mass produced. & I think that puts people off of retro collecting because they hear about how expensive it is, when in reality you can build a collection of heavy hitters for like $10 a game. Excellent video guys!
Spot on everything you said about building a collection on the cheap. The mass-produced games are some of the best on the system, hands down! 360 was the last great era for the Xbox, although we do find the odd title on Xbox one that we pick up. The bulk of our Xbox collection is OG and 360. Definitely having a throwback nostalgia for the console. It's been hard to want to play anything else lately because I think with the greater CZcams community focusing on 360 it's making me realize games I've missed out on playing. At least there's a little positive to this whole 360 bloat in price debacle 🤣

A lot of great games here! I never owned an Xbox 360 but I played a lot of these games on the PS3. The Lollipop Chainsaw RePop - as they call it- is supposed to come out this summer! I beat the original and really enjoyed it. I'm a fan of B movies so that helped my opinion of it. Deathsmiles is great too! I have that on the Switch and Steam. I love the holiday themes of the 2 games Halloween/Christmas. I absolutely love Resident Evil 5. A really great co op experience for sure. Not really an Xbox guy here but looking forward to more of these videos!
Cool to hear they haven't given up on the remake. We hadn't heard anything about it in a while. Death smiles is a great one for people who are noobs to the shmup genre. I love Resident Evil 5 as well and I think I like it more than 6. I'm excited to see what they do with it as a remake. Hopefully that's still the plan.

I will be honest I just started collecting and playing games on the Xbox 360. I have always played on PlayStation. The 360 has a lot of good games and I will definitely try them.
I think go with whichever console you like best for your main library and just pick up the exclusives that interest you. Best of both worlds :)
There are actually a decent ammount of rpgs on the 360, just very overlooked. Still way more on the ps3. Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and Magna Carta 2 being the first 3 that come to mind.
Oh, definitely some decent RPGs on the system and we'll get into that in our next video with games we want to play or at least jump into a bit in 2024. I think for us we just see the 360 as a co-op shooter machine and the PS1 as the definitive RPG console.

Darksiders is a great game. Fun to play.
Asura's Wrath jump in price recently is crazy. Fun game but wow with the price.
We had so many game nights for some four player game nights with Ultimate Alliance. So much fun and there was plenty of heroes to choose from.
The Orange box is a great value.
The 360 has a lot of good stuff to play.
Yeah it's a great library. We have a lot more games we still want to play that are already in our collection. Planning on doing a video on this as well. I'm sure the community will have some great information on ones we should play that aren't on our list as well. That's what I love about the gaming community.

Joke aside, it's a great system and i always go back to it once a year at least. I remember when it came out i was working a summer job and couldn't decide to buy a 360 or a new laptop. The ps3 hadn't come out yet, so I was undecided.my best friend and I went to a toys r us and saw the 360 kios there playing some games, and it looked amazing , both of us left that store with a preorder of the 360.. one of the few consoles i got on launch.
We also figured a way to hack it's firmwares to play burned games lol so we had fun with that too haha.
I would put devil may cry 4 in there too, i know not everyone loved it but i enjoyed it. Too many games to list but yeh maybe a top 10 list would be cool without it being split into categories. Or a top 10 of games you still want to try from your collection of 360 games.
Man i wish i could enjoy re6, but i found it to be hot garbage. 5 is really fun in co up but 6 had no saving grace for me, it felt like a a dreamcast era arcade game that they just put resident characters in, it really feels like those arcade games.
I was super disappointed with deadspace remake , never played the original, but literally had no scares at all for me, like not even one jump scare but everyone else seems to love it, i had to almost force myself to finish it just so i could trade it in for another ps5 game but we all have our own likes and dislikes and that is ok.
Resident evil revelations 2 is a great game, maybe you can play that with your son next
It's funny. You should mention following it up with most expensive games because we're totally going to do that, but before we get to that, we're going to do a video on games. We're looking forward to playing in 2024 that are still on our backlog in the 360 catalog.

I'm almost done playing Resident Evil 6 and I honestly think I like 5 better.
I think Scott played Resident Evil Revelations 2 with Alex but I can't remember. Not that he wouldn't play it with me as well because he played 6 with Scott just over a year ago.
Yeah, I've only played the original Dead Space and I actually enjoyed it. It's getting harder and harder though for me to find horror games that blow me away. There's something about aliens though and outer space that still gives me the creeps.
Not sure if you guys knew but you can import custom songs into Rock Band 3 for free. There's thousands of songs people have made for it.

@@RetroRivals you need to download update 4 I believe and then not update to the latest. You then use a pc utility to port the songs to a flash drive

The gears series is exclusive to xbox I am pretty sure all the others are also on ps3
Not all of them are Xbox exclusives. Lollipop chainsaw and Alice are on both consoles definitely.
Hack and slash really thrived in this era. So many fantastic hack n slash games on this list. This is definitely the best way to handle the music games. We need to do this. We were spread out among different systems like some idiots. For future 360 content I think a "hidden Jen" video would be cool. This era of gaming feels dominated by the AAA publishers. What are the good games that slipped under the radar?
Hack and Slash was definitely big in this era that's for sure. In the next video we're going to get into some games we want to play. There might be a few hidden Jens in there 😁 and some that slipped under the radar.

The 360 was my favourite console of that generation, the line up of games was incredible 🔥Dead Space and Bioshock take the crown from this list 👏
I absolutely loved dead space and BioShock. I've played a lot of the first installments of most series but haven't gotten around to the second ones of either one of these yet. Hopefully at some point.

I've got fond memories of playing Ultimate Alliance with Tommy and my youngest son Billy when they were little.
Resi 5😂😂😂 I've finished it multiple times. Ask Tommy if you ever get the chance what he thought of our play through.
I think we have 3 or 4 set up. They are so cheap to buy and pretty easy to fix.

7th gen is defo one of my favourite eras. But I gotta say, for me it will always always be PS3>360, always. I do like the 360 a lot, but PS3 is just the best way to play 👌

Totally agree with ya there. The more we've dug into the PS3 library I'm really enjoying that system. The Xbox 360 was the last great era for Microsoft's console library so I would tell most people to go after the exclusives.
I dont think you could argue that fable 2 is "better" but I do love it a lot. If you like Southpark at all you will love the game Jen.
I really really did enjoy Fable 2 and I would want to reserve judgment on which one is best until I played South Park. I do enjoy South Park but maybe not as much as Alex and Scott do... So we'll see

Great selection of games..but, where are the racing games? Need for Speed Most Wanted, Ridge Racer, Blur? All great games.
They are amazing games. We have been playing a lot more racing games but we tend to have more love for them in the OG Xbox era. Xbox 360 seemed to be our co-op shooter phase. You're not wrong though, BLUR and Need for Speed we're powerhouses in the racing genre.
Definitely love Blur..mariokart on steroids.. recently picked up fatal inertia for the 360.. like that alot as well.

I have never really played X360 and i'm not playing it 2024 either! Xbox Series X was really my first Xbox i really played although i did get Xbox original though when i started collecting retro but i played pretty much all the interesting exclusives i had missed on XSX. No idea what i'll do with that console now though.
I would absolutely recommend Xbox 360 over one and XSX any day of the week. Of course the OG Xbox is amazing and the 360 was the last great era of Xbox.
I miss the days when people bought a console for their exclusives because it seems like Xbox is selling off anything that was proprietary to them. We start it with Xbox 360 over PS3 so there's a little bit of nostalgia there.

My dad bought me the Xbox 360 Slim a week after release in November 2010, and it still works now today.
I still play my Xbox 360 because there are OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games that aren't backward compatible with Xbox Series X.

I love Alice Madness Returns!! I bought it on Ebay about 2 years ago. I got it on my 32nd birthday. I just with EA would let American McGee make Alice 3! 🙁.

I own RE5 & RE6 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
I know everybody talks about the red ring of death and while it was a problem, we have fixed several of our Xbox 360 consoles and they're still running so...
We play a lot of our OG Xbox games as well and we're really disappointed with the backwards compatibility too. It's a shame because it could have been amazing.
I know I'm gutted that we won't get a third Alice game. It could have been phenomenal. I think the working title was supposed to be Alice asylum and just the title alone has me intrigued. Sadly we will never know.

Our channel is a variety for sure. Xbox 360 is hot right now and people are enjoying the content. Trust me we are BIG playstation fans. Our fav consoles are PS4 and PS1. I think now is NOT the time to collect for Xbox 360 because that ship has sailed and the are super inflated BUT now if a great time to hit up PS4.

Agreed! It's only driving up the prices. We are going to put out a video about our most expensive on the system but we caution people throughout the video and at the first that this is NOT the time to buy Xbox 360. I think at this point if you don't have something that's shot up in price you need to wait until the market cools like it did with PS3

For us we played a lot of Xbox 360 because we had it before the PS3 and Scott tends to like the 360 controller better that's not to say we didn't totally double dip 😂😂😂🤣

Actually that's not a bad idea. We have a lot of exclusives on the system which is what we typically do since you want to grab them the only way you can play them. Look for a video for that at some point within the next little bit 😊

Unfortunately not, I think there was a Xbox One digital port that was delisted long ago.
I believe it is....now I have to check for sure. It's worth getting if you can get it on the cheap. We got lucky and only spent about $65-$70 on ours a couple years ago

Right?!? It's pretty insane! I was very happy that we decided to get ahead of the 360 price hike and we got all of these really cheap.... for the most part
I had the Xbox 360 on launch, and went with that console for many years. Then I gave in to the itch I was having for the PS3, and traded everything in for it. Not once did I regret it.
However, its not to say that the 360 is a bad console. I love the dang thing. What I can't stand about it, though, is that Microsoft has to be so far up your wazoo, that you can't even watch a DVD without being tethered to the internet. Even today, its like that.
Heck, I returned the Series X because of it. I couldn't even change the theme without first having to be online. I'm just glad I don't have to put up with that nonsense on PC.
I can totally understand and appreciate that. I think Microsoft is on their way out with the console market. I think the 360 was the last good generation they had and that's sad. We love our PlayStation consoles so I know exactly where you're coming from

All Gears of war are 50p or 1 pound in England I have notice USA games alot ea games are 1 pound. Alice game is 22 pound its rare in England

A lot of the expensive 360 games are pretty terrible. even more so than other consoles. people call them "hidden gems", but hidden gems should actually be decent games
bahahahah I think we've kind of done that though with the series we had last year. Mind you I'm sure there are more in the collection that could take a hike. Have to play them to find the ones that are not making the cut. Stay tuned!

The only reason why anyone would play on Xbox 360 is cause of achievements now if anyones playing still on the Wii that gives no achievements that means they don’t have a Switch
Honestly, we're not trophy hunters or people that even care about achievements. I know lots are but for us it was just the system we went with and loved the library. Now the console on the other hand...... 😂
@@RetroRivals well Xbox isn’t just giving achievements they giving away money for just earning an achievement on a game pass game I earn 1 achievement per day I continue playing the games until I unlock all the achievements it might take me 30 days to complete all the achievements and another reason achievements are great are cause they are reminders what you did last in the game so your not lost not every game is like resident evil you play again it makes you start where you left off go try doing that in a Zelda game you haven’t played for 2 years you have no idea what you need to do next so you’ll have to start a new game from scratch I remember going on Zelda on the Wii and didn’t know where to go next if only achievements where there that would of helped

Totally couldn't agree more! Our Xbox Series X has been a huge disappointment. The backwards compatibility that was promised was a HUGE flop!
