Can you explain the relationship/difference between Dropout and College Humor?
Is this still limited to US and Canada?
I think dropout is the one thing I do recommend to other people. Idk why, but it just doesn't feel like a company trying to screw me over, is just funsies and good energy, it's watching them have fun.
luckily once we got cut loose by IAC and the creatives took over, no one here is good enough at business to know how to screw over customers. we just wanna make fun stuff!!

College Humor had the most surprising rebound of the last 5 years. Truly the CZcams Comeback Kids.
Definitely. I seriously thought they were completely screwed when IAC pulled out at the start of 2020 and there were all those layoffs, but somehow they've not only survived, but are actively thriving a mere three and a half years later. Not just the main CH programming, either; Dorkly also seems to be doing well now that they're independent. It's seriously impressive how they've managed to right the ship after everything looked so bleak.
You could almost say that it was a bit of a game changer.

The journey that CollegeHumor has gone through NEEDS to be a documentary one day. I remember the days of jake, amir, sarah, streeter, Streeter, dan, owen etc, literally shaping the landscape of Internet comedy. The fact that they have been producing generally incredible stuff for so long now is amazing.
Let's not forget Chris, Mike, Matt, Chris, Matt, Skully and Matt with their incredible combined short and long form improv.

The amount of care put into dropout is the reason it's the only streaming service i actually subscribe to rather than pirating. every little interaction on the site from little videos about the platform itself to buying merchandise feel so personal.
I don't know about you all but here in Cambridge Massachusetts we have a very certain theater we all love dearly. And at that theater we show Game Changer episodes nightly. Now, Sam, where are you from?
I’ve been a CollegeHumor fan since 2016 and watching you guys flourish after being cut out by IAC was such a pleasure to watch. The fact you lost the company around the same time as the pandemic happened meant luck wasn’t exactly on your side, and yet you took the opportunity to make some amazing new content and innovative ideas. It’s such a welcoming space, especially for the queer community and even the little things such as including pronouns at the beginning of shows is so greatly appreciated, especially in these times. I’ve always felt welcome and accepted on this channel and streaming service, and you’ve always been a comfort.

In a sea of streaming services where I just dont care about 90% of the programming, Dropout is a breath of fresh air
Dropout is consistently the only streaming that i actually care about and have recommended to others, it's the only that i know of that feels like it has heart put into it
The fact that they use Ally fumbling a roll as one of the first Clips is my favorite.
Dropout feels like a successful experiment by Sam Reich to prove it's possible to run an ethical entertainment company. The nourishing support of the Dropout crew is evident, which is like the yummy croutons on top of the delicious smorgasbord of content. (That analogy got away from me a bit but whatever)
It's really worth it. I had a mental block about paying for a subscription of any kind, but this is exactly it. I pay yearly and every time I renew it because it brings me joy, as simply as that.
A subscription for Dropout feels like a Patreon for my favorite musician or video maker, just a little bigger and like it's been there the whole time. There is a big library to go through, and they're good about adding something every week. It's been a good bet for almost two years now, and it's my go-to "have you watched this?" with friends.
"What moment should represent our DnD streams?" "How about that one time Ally fumbled the dice?" "Seems right to me"

I got Dropout tv last month for Ravening War and Crown of Candy. HOWEVER - I got the annual pass and I am so looking forward to the rest of their stuff. Like, it is incredible how much you guys have on that platform, and it all looks great.

Dropout is more than worth it, I look forward to seeing everything that comes out on the platform in a way that almost reminds me of the way we used to consume television, like weekly I get to go “oh yay this comes out today and this debuts next week” it’s so fun to keep up with

Got into Dropout a few months ago after seeing some of my favorite people pop up on "Um, Actually" and it's not only helped with my depression but literally restored my faith in humanity. I would pay double or even triple, it's that good and that cheap. 🤓 And it's been here... the whole time.
Dropout genuinely feels like it's at the forefeont of a change in how video production companies operate & are monetizeable. Really interested to see where it goes

Easily one of the best ways to spend your money on a streaming service. So rewatchable, lots of easy, stress free content for a hard world. You just can’t find stuff like this easily anywhere else

Just finished UltraMechaTron Team Go, wasn't expecting to have so much fun on a show with such a weird premisse, but again Dropout delivered. At the end I was genuinely hoping for a sequel haha.

The newest D20, Mentopolis, is maybe the best media I’ve watched in the last 5 years.
I was talking to a friend about cancelling some streaming services and was like: "you know maybe I'll just cancel them all." And then amended "Except Dropout. I can't lose my main outlet for both wholesome feel-goods and tortuous schadenfreude."

Amazing the pivot that collegehumor was able to do. Not many companies could go from skits and the edge of bankruptcy due to a horrible private equity groups ownership to where they are now. I hope to see some skits again though.
