@@1005rhys I get that. Using the characters' antagonism as a contrast to real life friendship just seemed a little silly. Antagonistic characters should not be an indicator that the actors would necessarily dislike each other. The opposite holds true as well. Characters being good friends shouldn't be an indicator that the actors get along irl. It's called acting for a reason.

After watching so many House clips, I decided to watch the entire series all over again. Currently near the middle of season 7 and realizing once again what a fantastic character Gregory House was and how amazing Hugh Laurie is

Lisa Edelstein left the show because of money issues, not some fake "didn't want to do that any more" line. Cost-cutting when the show went beyond the originally planned 7 seasons caused the producers to demand pay cuts. She refused. Good for her.

A House movie would be essential in 2020. A 90min case solving after House left the hospital at the end of the series. The (one of the) team would catch up again for a case (House would be chasing them to come back, since "they are good doctors"), Wilson would be still alive, Cuddy would yell at house because he rushed into her house, and the governement would need House's help with a senator or the president. Spiced up with House jokes, "dont care" moments and great solved case ending.

I watched House because of Wilson. Long suffering, Wilson put up with a load of crap from House. Robert Sean Leonard was the perfect foil to Houses’s antics. House was actually dependent upon Wilson. The show wouldn’t be so enjoyable with the character of Wilson.

Yes so I actually don't like House at all
Their dynamic is incredible
To me it’s the opposite. Wilson was quite annoying and I could tell the actor wasn’t that interested in playing him. But in later seasons Wilson lectured less and had more life of his own so was more tolerable even if his screentime increased unfortunately.
@Dave Wavy keep in mind that the song that plays when they ride off is by a singer who had cancer and little much to live :(
Hugh Laurie should play the next doctor in doctor who
Obviously, he could do a great job. The only issue would be his age. He'll be 61 in a couple of months, so he'd be 62 at the earliest when he took over. That's not only 5 years older than any other Doctor, it's a hell of a lot of work to carry a show like that. He might not want to have that kind of workload into his mid/late 60s

A brain damaged chimp would be better than Whitaker, though having said that, it's hard to imagine anyone, even Hugh, managing tosave the series after the cluster f*ck that Chibnall just pulled off.
@@aliservan7188 I've seen her in enough stuff to know that she has the chops to pull it off. But the scripts (especially her first season) ranged from "meh" to awful. Nobody is talented enough to save a production from bad writing. The old saying holds true-if it isn't on the page, it isn't on the stage.
My favorite character was Lisa Cuddy I really missed Lisa Edelstein in Season 8. Love the show and House crazy antics.

The opossum wasn't a prank between House and Wilson. Lucas was messing with them because they bought the condo Cuddy wanted out from under her.

SO UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME ACTORS. ALL OF THEM. THEY WERE SO TALENTED TO A POINT THAT YOU CAN TELL THAT THEY ARE REAL DOCTORS AND NOT JUST ACTORS PERFORMING THEIR ROLES AND THAT'S IT. THIS MD PROGRAM MADE US LIVE THE GOOD SIDE AND THE BAD SIDE OF BEING A DOCTOR. IT SHOWED US THE UP AND DOWN LIFE THAT DOCTORS FACE ON A DAILY BASIS. IT REALLY MADE US LIVE THE VERY SERIOUS SITUATION FACING EACH PATIENT. JUST UNBELIEVABLY, INCREDIBLY, EXTREMELY AWESOME MD PROGRAM EVER. ❤❤❤❤❤

Some of the best episodes of House are those when he is in the Rehabilitation Unit and Prison. The programme where the Cello player returns to being normal is very touching.

I still miss this show. ER and House my two favorite shows off all time.
I miss them all because they all made this show so incredible. I work in medicine so shows that are so overly dramatic are of no interest me so House that yes you see medicine and the fight to win over illness/injury but it is even more so about the behind the scenes and the struggles which is what is so infectious (pardon the pun) it was a total package.

Hugh Laurie nailed the character right with his outstanding acts, but without the other actors, the show wouldn't have been great, I actually missed all of them because the outcome of plots , story n their relationship was awesome

I first saw House MD and a few years later I watched Infinity War... then I saw the picture of "Night manager" and was like: _now hang on just a minute..._ : House and Loki? 😂😅
I understood the main reason Lisa left after S7, is that they wanted to do one (last) season with paycuts. She did not accept that, which I clearly understand. And so she got written off the series.
