I know someone who is a tax collector. When she tells people what she does, they would ask her for advice on how to do their taxes. Yes, she gets very annoyed. You could tell Wilson is annoyed by all the cancer stories he heard during speed dating.

Most of the time when people don't know how to start a conversation, they usually focus on the next person's career, since it feels like a safe choice.
Starting with the person's physical features feels very offensive or shallow, and you don't know enough about the person to pick another topic.

The connection that Chase makes here in the middle of a completely separate conversation is something one could only have expected out of House. Very impressive, and clearly shows that Chase is the correct choice for his replacement at the end of the show.

The lies that get caught are actually the exception. Sure, you need to know things to built up and maintain the lie, for instance, pretending to be a professional is certainly difficult when you actually want to, say, work as a doctor but have no actual license etc. however, telling safe lies ( things someone else can not know without researching things beyond their usual habits/ environmental horizon ) is child’s play for most people with some decent understanding of basic social strategies and tactical abilities in day to day conversations.

She's reaffirming him. She absolutely would lend him her car if he actually needed it, but she knows that Chase is in a spot where he needs to know people actually care for him and not just his looks and he's not actually looking to borrow the car. Saying no is what Chase wants to hear, and because she's a good friend she makes sure he hears it because it's what he needs to hear in that moment to move past the fear that his looks are why people like him.

Financial stability is not as important in a stable economy as it was years ago. At least if you are from Europe, in the US i can understand why you want someone rich, given how your healthcare works.

I wish we got more Chase and Wilson. Their relationship with House was definitely a sight to behold, but their interactions with each other were extremely enjoyable. Would've been cold to have an arc just about those two, especially considering how in the end Chase sort of became house.

I never really thought about how difficult or often it may or may not have been for Hugh to stay American with Jesse being Aussie all the time... He's so great.
The first fifty seconds of this clip are probably some of the funniest I've ever witnessed in every media.
This is one of the funniest episodes ever.
0:52 is such brilliant directing. How the camera pans each person as they look appraisingly at those on the other side...really like cattle. The music is of course as always on point.
And how the trio got their 'score' cards...with Chase as the last one. Perfect comedic reveal.
Complimenting your friends looks and giving them that support is such a great feeling. Me and my mates, they don't tend to mention it much, I feel that's partially because of the stereotype casted out for men to be, but the rare occasions when we're out and they notice the effort I've made for the night out, it's nice to hear, it makes you feel more confident in yourself, heightens your morale and mood. Overall you just feel that bit better.
Straight men being able to appreciate the handsomeness of another man is underrated, around here anyway.
This isn't a message brushing all men or women's behaviour or any insecurities. Simply just acknowledging a step in the right direction.
What I appreciate in this scene is the fact that I truly believe that they would be a great friends outside of work.
The heartful conversations they can have as friends without judgement toward each other besides a possible simple harmless thought of that sounds odd. The patience is what I LOVE. TRYING to understand the other person as opposed to fully objecting... as a FIRST reaction because it sounds odd to start with. That is probably one of the most basic but highly intelligent, respectable, and noticeable personal trait a person can obtain and at it's peak. You can safely assume that person has a great heart and really cares about people and wants the world to grow stronger. IF you ever come in contact with a person like this you have won the lottery if they are willing to give you a chance because these people deserve every ounce of respect!

My mother always says that love is an action word. It requires constant effort to maintain.
In the early part of a relationship, that work is easy. You are running on a constant supply of adrenaline and endorphins. But after the lovers high is over, the real work begins. That is when you see the true character of a person. If you don't love your partner anymore then LOVE your partner. Exert yourself, exercise love.
You don't just fall into love. You don't fall out of love either. Falling requires no effort, you are passively experiencing a fall.
This is some pseudo-wisdom if I have ever heard it. If you do not enjoy being around a persona after they have shown their "true character" then leave. You would be foolish to try and force a relationship. Real relationships have problems, yes. However, they at least enjoy each other's company.
I'm not saying stay in an abusive relationship. I am speaking of those people who claim "I just fell out of love." while they are banging their secretary.
