@@ivorynova5112 to be fair, there _is_ an underlying sentiment that is expressed by that phrase. Its not very eloquent, which is why some people make fun of it, but generally people do understand that it means _"we may get along and if so, cool. or we may not, and thats no big deal"_ and it also implies an attitude of _"Im not going to force anything/try too hard and you shouldnt either - lets just see what happens"_
Considering how many words that took, it makes sense that people contract it to something simpler. _"We may get along/we may not"_ is more efficiently said as _"if we get along"_ , and the second half about good or bad gets summarised by repeating the previous statement to emphasise 'what you see is what you get'. So thats why it ends up as "if we get along, we get along" and the use of vibe is just a colloquial appropriation in line with social trends.
If you remember this in 20 years, see if people will be saying some shit like "if we jibe, we jibe" and everyone is making fun of them for that, instead.
(Ps i didnt pick jibe because its just vibe with a J. It just happens to be a legit synonym of "synchronize" and its also short)
