I love how you experiment and play with different techniques. No measuring really spoke to me. I think both quilts are beautiful but prefer the solid fat quarters and print strips. Keep it up, my quilting friend.

I really like the solid fat quarters with the print strips -- it just appeals to my eye more :) To each his/her own! Very pretty quilt. I would love to see it once its finished -- there could sure be some interesting space for cutom quilting with the solid fat quarters!

What a fun new sewing machine you have!! I hope you enjoy it. I just picked up a Singer 401A Slant. And it's in a cabinet also. I got it at a garage sale for $35.00. It works fantastic. It came with all its bells and whistles, including the manual and cams. And all it's feet!! What a find!! I really enjoy your videos, April.

Well I love this, u need to design more quilts! I have been looking for one that showcases all my skull fabric for a Frida K quilt and this may be it. Then I don’t need to cut all the colorful skulls into bitty little pieces. Love it. I like both, I think I would like the solids more if they were maybe a low volume solid, or a grunge or some wee pattern for myself. I like the prints one where rhe left side kinda continues the diagonal line. I think I would try that on both sides for mine. But Both of yours r stunning, can’t wait to see your next one!!
