I love making quilts, but I am not the perfect quilter so I make video tutorials about the quilts I've made so you can avoid the mistakes I've made. You see, once I was the "Queen of Quilting mistakes," but you should see my quilts now! I've learned the "Quilting Police" are a figment of our imaginations or I would be serving a life sentence. I share how you can recover from mistakes you've made with some of my unorthodox ways. You don't have to be perfect to be a quilter and don't let anyone make you think that you should be.

Hi April, You sew and have a lot more experience than me. I just want to suggest lengthening your stitch length. Eleanor Burns always says to sew at 2.0. Also checking tensions and pressure on pressure foot. Love your videos. ❤

Less pressure on the presser foot should help alleviate some of the puckering on the HST blocks.
Maybe your thread tension is not quite right. That can cause the wrinkles at the seam. You probably already know that.

Lol I have 10 machines, 15 jars of buttons, thread of just abut every color and over 200 patterns in sizes newborn to 5 xl. Plus patterns to make other stuff. Plus quilting books. Plus about 400 yards of fabric. Its my post Doomsday trading currency.

Id love to see more of using other cutting options. I hve the CRICUT MAKER 3. I havent used it yet. Its only been in my closet for a year. I also have the sublimation markers i was going to use for making labels for quilts that i havent used either. 😔 Please help 🙏🏼

I have 3 shelves of fabric and my husband thinks I have too much fabric. Ha ha ha. Never enough never! I show him your fabric and try to explain to him that I have hardly any fabric. Non quilters will never see or understand .
I love, love this quilt. Wish I could find this panel. I'm very new to quilting and I was looking for videos on Halloween quilts specifically with this pattern you said calls for sewing a "square in a square" (never heard of it), but as I said I'm very new to sewing and quilting. I call the way you put it together "harlequin" you called it "argyle". I didn't know it was a square in a square or how to even sew it. Now that you showed me on your show I think I can do it. I have been searching for quilts with a harlequin design, but kept getting videos with quilters making diamond squares and I could use that design going down to form the argyle or harlequin, but this seems alot simpler for my brain. I think the cream and black and orange and black diamond patterned pumpkins in the main panel are more representative of a harlequin design. Thank you.

May I share a nightmare? I decided to start with a panel vs the little square. Btw, this was quilt number 69 for me. I decided to use all widths of strips and use a little wood roller to press. And I thought it was going well using the wood roller vs ironing. When I completed my throw sized throw quilt top, the center didn’t lay flat. Lord, help me, Jesus. I couldn’t press it flat. I ended up cutting out the center panel and started over, pressing after sewing on each strip. It is taking forever. The outer part will get cut into string quilt squares and I will love it. But, this shouldn’t have happened on quilt 69! Thank you!
