This is Ford Pass. An app that allows you to remotely start your Ford vehicle, schedule a remote start, pay and look for parking, you can unlock/lock your vehicle or check your fuel level. Very easy to use and available for the Ford vehicles that have Sync Connect.

For those of you that have this application on your vehicle, do you use it A LOT?
i am going to:) just installed it yesterday activation took a while
I would probably only use it for the remote start option, since my range is limited & I don't get a visual confirmation that it was successful.
My Ford Pass doesn't start my vehicle anymore have uninstalled and reinstalled when this happened my fobs stopped remote starting my vehicle. My service adviser doesn't have a clue gives me the run around on fixing it. I have a 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid Platinum have you heard anything like this?

I have had a chance to play around with this App and let me tell you that it is awesome and very useful. Unfortunately, I own a 2015 F-150 that does not have this feature. Can't wait for my lease to be up to get a new F-150 with this application.

On my 2017 Escape Ti there is no Distance to empty displayed with the Fordpass app,
(okay with the Escape itself) - the app does show the gas gauge, unlock, engine start & lock just no DTE - you are tech support aren't you Jorge ? - lol

Great Video very informative, I have a 2020 F-250 with Sync 3 technology, Do i have to enter my e-mail and password information into the phone each time i want to remote start my truck, I don't see anywhere for it to remember my log in information, Kind of a pain to enter the info everytime..
No need, once the log in has been processed your phone will remember you. If it doesn't then you must have some type of setting set on your phone to ask you to log in every time. I never have to log into my Ford pass every time.
Kind of a dumb questions but.....I just got my 2020 Ranger truck and love the start feature on the app. Once the truck is started from the app, say to cool off or warm up, do I then turn off engine with app and start with the key to actually drive it. OR would I put in the key and turn it to "on" to keep engine going?
Thanks for your question! The remote start from Ford Pass is awesome. I use it quite a bit with my F150. When i start the truck, lets say from my office, with my phone and once I get close to my truck I unlock it with my key, get it and start it like normal. You don't have to turn off the engine with the app at all. Remember you can also schedule remote starts from the app. I use that as well. Enjoy your Ranger!

The focus got Ford pass connect in 2018. So unfortunately you don't have it

Howdy! No, you cant change the time. If it says 15 mins it stays on for that amount of time!

no, unfortunately there no possible way to have Ford pass on a 2016. Maybe you can trade in for a new explorer? lol

you need to check your equipment options on the window sticker to see if it has ford pass connect.
I have a 2018 Ford fusion se, the Ford pass app works fine but there isn't an option for the remote start. My sister also has a Ford but her app does give the option for remote start
does your fusion have ford pass connect? I would verify in the facotyr original window sticker of you car to confirm. If it does say it has it then I would erase and reinstall the app. Just make sure you know the id and password to get back into your account.
@@Askjorgelopez I'm pretty certain it has ford pass connect because the app is on the car's touchscreen menu. I can connect to it fine without any issues but when I pull up the app on my phone, there isn't an option for remote start. I probably have to bring it in and find out if the tech package was included or not

Does the vehicle have to be withing range of cell towers? Or is it satellite? I ask, because I sometimes travel to places that have NO cell service. Far west Texas for example. Thanks.
This available built-in technology is powered by a 4G LTE modem built in the truck and AT&T networks which connects owners to their vehicles through FordPass using their smartphones. So no satellite.
So no need for the vehicle itself to have wifi or a data plan to work?
Jorge, I was told my 2018 f-150 did not have factory installed modem, so I cannot use the start feature from my phone. What should I do?
do you have Ford pass connect listed in your window sticker? If so, you do have the modem.

Tom Rumish Good question... download the Ford Pass app from the Apple store or Google play store. Then whe you are installing it, select "skip to log in". Then just type in the same email and password you used on your phone. Now you will have 2 phones with the same account. Hope this helps

I called my local dealership & was told that this wasn't available for a '14 Ford Edge, even though I received an email from Ford, stating this was now available... 🤔 🤦♂️
Your dealership is correct. In order to have the ability to use the features stated in the video, you need a hardware called sync connect. Not sync which is a totally different thing. If you want to confirm look for sync connect option on your window sticker
I have a question. Is it correct that any of the drivers can turn off the location services and then none of the app used will see the vehicle location?
Correct. You can turn off location services from the phone settings , not the app settings

elivdz1 No it doesnt. to use all of the functions of ford pass your vehicle will need remote start and sync connect which is a 4G modem built into the vehicle

john kerry not all fords. You need one that has sync 3 ( the big screen on radio area ) and sync connect ( 4g modem ) you should be able to see these options on the window sticker of the car

factory navigation is ran by Ford thru satellite connection. If you are talking about apple car play or android auto then that is ran thru your phone

Oh good grief. I bought my Ford yesterday. Downloaded the app but to do the remote start, the app says I have to purchase the smartlink device from the dealership. I just was there yesterday. They didn't mention anything about purchasing a device.
hi there....THere is no need to purchase any items if your car is equipped with Sync Connect. Look at your window sticker, if you see "Sync Connect" somewhere in the optional equipment or standard equipment then you should be set. If you don't see that term it means your vehicle doesn't have the built in modem to communicate with your cell phone and at that point you will need to purchase smartlink which is the modem and other parts to make these features work.
@@Askjorgelopez yes, it says sync. I've added my vehicle, the app shows it. It shows where my vehicle is but I see nothing about vehicle controls. Where's that at on the app? Plus I have my android connected via Bluetooth I know because I can play music from my phone through the car's speakers.

Is there a way to leave a 2021 Ford Expedition limited running with AC on for pets, doors locked and internal motion sensor off for say 30 minutes? I know how to turn off sensor to perimeter only when I shut vehicle off but sometimes need AC to run without shutting off in 15 mins. If I shut vehicle off with perimeter only selected and then restart it with Ford Pass on my phone, extend time like you did on video and relock it will perimeter sensors be on again? At one step you unlock vehicle, then extend time and relock - that shouldn't affect sensors unless I actually turn vehicle off again correct?? When we are traveling and have to stop to eat, it's a real problem to leave them in a hot car so we just do drive thru. Yuk.
There should be a setting on the vehciel that will allow you to do what you want but unfortunately i don't remember where to go. i am out but will check on this when i come back in to work and let you know if i have good news

I Tried to Put my ford pass into my new Phone and it refuses to Knowledge My Pass word and email . what happen was my Old phone Burned up Ford locked my account out me . and my sales rep don't seemed to care I don't know what else to do.
you might want to try to retrieve your password by selecting "forgot password" from your ford pass. Hopefully this can reset the password.
If not, then you will need to start all over again by doing a master reset on the car using the radio section of your vehicle. This will erase all programming like bluetooth, radio settings and ford pass. Once the reset is done then you will need to delete ford pass from phone and try to create a new account with a new email.

this was an option back then. You would have to look at the window sticker to find "ford Pass" or "ford Connect" If you don't see that listed anywhere then you don't have that feature.
