Excellent informational video. I just spoke to Jorge as I was interested in upgrading my 2015 Ford C-Max Energi Sync 2 to a Sync 3 system. Thanks goodness Jorge told me that the Sync 3 system is incompatible with my vehicle. Nevertheless Jorge’s video was extremely well done and most informative
You can install sync 3 into that, I’ve heard of multiple people doing it, you just need to bring it to a dealer to do it properly
Excellent video & well explained. I'm in the UK and have a 2018 Ford Fiesta Titanium spec with most of the features shown, so very useful. Satellite radio unfortunately not available here ( I don't think)

I see the option for changing the color of the ambient lighting around the cup holders and such, will this option also be available on the super duty? I ask because it was not an option in the super duty of the outgoing model.

Very nice and usefulll tutorial. I did change just now a Ford B-Max to a new Ford Kuga. In the B-Max disply I had both time and date that I find usefull. Ho can I show date too on the Sync 3 display ?

Jorge, great videos man! I was watching some of your stuff before recently purchasing a used 2017 F250 SuperDuty. It of course has Sync3 onboard. Problem is this... I noticed Sync 3 (it was running Sync3 version 2.2 until I just updated it via USB to version 3) with SiriusXM support does not allow tuning channels past 219. I want to tune SXM channels like Yacht Rock Radio (Channel 311) and it will not allow me to tune it. I've been told this was fixed in the newest version of Sync3 code but even after updating my code level, it still has the same problem. Am I missing something and can you please tell me if there is or was a TSB for this and if so, what is the TSB number? Thanks in advance!

Here in Portugal Spotify dont work the same way. Here by Bluetooth, i need choice what i want to hear the playlist in my phone first. The icon Spotify not show in my Fiesta 2018 Sync3.
Hi Jorge. I bought a 2016 Edge a couple weeks ago and cannot get the voice guidance to work for the navigation. I have checked all the settings and everything is on, and it is not muted. While driving to a destination I can only hear a slight pause in the music when a prompt comes through. Any suggestions?

The question I get asked the most is can I run WAZE on my screen, and yes I have seen it on others I work with. Use Apple Car play and plug it in the USB now you can tag the cops and accidents as well as road hazards using your sync touch screen makes it nicer and safer for all of us. Plus it runs full screen and keeps your iPhone charged and out of your hand.

My 2017 F250 will not recognize my home wi fi. I was able one time to get it to show me that it picked up on three of them but when I click on the button, they don’t open up.
I can get within 30 feet of my modem and router so I know the signal is strong. Any suggestions on how I can connect? Great video! Thanks! Gary

Excellent video! One question, how do I increase the navigation voice level? I tried radio volume knob but it just raised the radio volume. I didn't see it in settings?
If you hit the voice button on the steering wheel and then push the up volume button while the voice is talking it will increase the voice level
With the add phone clip, Bluetooth is showing to additional "Sync" devices?????? Additional vehicle eg. fusion????

I didn't make a video for apple car play but its extremely simple. Just plug in your iphone to the usb port of the truck and hit "allow" when prompted. Your maps will now show up on the screen, you will be able to respond to text messages and you will now have "siri" at your fingertips. Very cool feature this Apple Carplay.
2014 F150 Lariat extended cab. recently purchased. I thought it had SYNC but you said it came out AFTER 2014. I was hoping to install or at least use my WAZE app. can I do that or do I have to have SYNC?

Don't pay for streaming. Put your MP3's on a thumb drive and plug it into one of the usb drives in the console. Sync will add a link in entertainment sources. You can create play lists on your computer and Sync will read them. If it's easier put you music in separate folders. Name the folders and use the browse button to locate them.

My 2017 Ford C-Max Hybrid resets every. single. day. I have to pair my phone and update contacts every. single.day. Also, I can have the key out of the ignition and I can walk away and the car can still be on! It DOES NOT HAVE A THE REMOTE START B FEATURE. Any suggestions?!? I'll appreciate it!

I will answer your question soon. I am not sure on that. I do have a 2018 that didn't have ambient lighting to begin with and I am at update 3.0. Wanting to update to 3.4 soon for the new changes. BUT will try to find out.
One of the best in depth sync3 tutorials that I have watched. Question--- Where do I find the factory set Door Keypad Code? I am picking up my 2018 Explorer later today.
Tom Rumish thank for the comment... I appreciate it. Your vehicle should come with a credit card size card which has your door code. Your sales person should also give it to you. Unless you are buying a used one. Is that explorer you are getting a preowned?
I picked up my new Explorer Limited and love it. The sales person did give me the card with the door keypad code. I spent some time yesterday setting up Keyless Entry, the garage door opener on the visor, pairing phone, etc. I pretty much have it set up the way that I want it now. Your video was a great help.
Is there a way to load in the nav feature, our new Sync 3 in the 17 fusion is lacking that...thanks !
No, it is not possible. The nav feature is a stand a lone $795 options that your car would have come with from the factory. But you do have the option to use apple car play or android auto depending on what kind of smart phone you use. By downloading these apps from the app store and connecting your phone via usb to the car, you can mirror your phone's maps onto the screen. You don;t need factory navigation to have navigation. I hope this helps.

I have a 2015 explorer colt with I guess the my touchscreen it was with sync. It didn’t have navigation but looks like it would have the ability. How do I get it upgraded to the navigation and get updates? Mine won’t connect with sync anymore.
try to do a master reset under settings to see if that helps

Hi Jorge, Thanks for the video very informative! I have a 2019 mustang eco-boost but when I checked my screen I did not have the Wi-Fi on mine. I have the Snyc 3.3. Is there a reason for that? Does it need to be updated and if so how do you do it. Thanks again Jerry
if you have the 8" display vs the 3" display then you should have wifi in the system. If you do have the larger screen then i would recommend doing a master reset to see if that helps. The reset is under settings. If you have the smaller screen then there is no wifi

Did they solve the compatibility issues with Apple? All of my previous Fords were glitchy with Apple phones?

OK, it's me again. Here with my new 2019 Ford Edge Titanium. I believe its the 301A model. I drove the 300 model for about a week and it had a feature where you could "upload" a photo that would show on a portion of the home screen. In another video, I watched where someone explained about a home screen "desktop" or "theme". That's not what I'm referring to. My husband had a 2010 King Ranch and a picture of our dogs would show up randomly when we started the vehicle. The photo was on I think the right side leaving other info on the other side. ************ Can I do this in my new vehicle? *********** Maybe I'm missing some info in the owners manual, but I don't see anything about it. It seems a bit strange that Ford would delete such a fun feature!! Help is appreciated. Thanks.
Something I really miss from old stereo is the scan button not to prest but to listen to a little bit of each station until I find something I like. I don't think that's possible using this system

these don't update over the air. The ones that do are the syn4. right now only on the 21 F150, supeduty, bronco and Mach e

I purchased a used 2018 Escape with only one key and no 5 digit code how do I reset the keyless code?
You need both keys to retrieve the original code. You need the original code to change codes. If you don't have both keys you will need to pay your dealer to retrieve the original code.
Can I upgrade my 2016 Ford Fusion from the 4 inch screen to the 8 inch sync 3 screen without completely breaking my pockets?
Unfortunately, that is not possible due to all the hardware replacement you will need to do.

HI Jorge I'am in north of Iraq I have a ford explorer 2017 with sync 3 system,the builtin navigation map was for Chicago area and it doesn't appear , is it possible to change it or add Iraq map to the system,because even sygic car navigation app. doesn't have Iraq map,is there any solution please.We have no customers dealers here.
To my knowledge there is no way to add Iraq to the factory maps but what you should do is use the apple car play or android auto feature. This uses your smart phones maps and shows them on the sync 3. Just plug in your phone via a usb cable to the usb port of the vehicle and you should be good to go! Let me know if it works!
@@Askjorgelopez Thank you for reply,i know this it works,and more than that i mirrored the phone screen to the car screen ,but it need me to root my phone and rebooting the phone every time i connect the phone also i have downloaded and installed 3 apps and it take the battery life so fast. Sygic car navigation work good with sync 3 but also it didn't content Iraq map.
