You nailed this video! I wore every single one of these and have been adding them back into my collection
💕🌸I was so angry when I found out Love's Baby Soft is clear now. A big part of the look was that it was a gorgeous pink juice! And the Rain scent was that watery green, and Fresh Lemon was yellow.
It's much weaker.now too if I'm nit mistaken. I will never be able to smell the original
Opium was a favorite of the goth chicks when I was in high school in the 80s (along with Obsession and Poison). My favorite 70s fragrance was Babe by Fabergé. They brought that fragrance back in England, but I ordered a bottle of it and it doesn’t smell anything like I remember.
Opium is so herby its not even pretty its industrial to my nose. How did goth kids like it?
I love cheap musks too. I’m addicted to Wild Musk and Skin Musk❤️❤️
They're classics!
Do you remember the commercials for Aviance ? Gonna have an Aviance night🎶
My momma was a fan of Opium back in the day! ❤
I was born in 72 and I think you do look great! I was obsessed with love's baby soft. My uncle would give all us kids 20 dollars for Christmas. Back then that was a lot. I would head straight to the Revco and buy village lip lickers and Love's. It smelled like heaven to me. I think I am going to buy a bottle for nostalgia purposes. Thanks for the video.
Thank you!
We're those the lipbalms in the little flat tins, with old times writing?
@@roringusanda2837 Yes, they came in a slide tin with old time writing on it. I loved them.
Revco! I haven't heard that name in long time.
My mom wore this all the time. During college, I worked at Subway and a woman came in wearing Halston. I commented immediately. Once you know Halston, you never forget it. I always found it to be a very aggressive fragrance.
Fragrances from the 80’s were power fragrances! Some hit pretty strong.
I was here for this video! 70s perfumes are my thing, even though I was born in 79- I just love so many of them.
Also, yes, I would love to see a musk video. I love musk scents and tend to prefer the inexpensive ones. I feel like a lot of the more expensive ones “lose the plot” and bury the musk accord. *new subbie* 😊
Thank you! I will definitely do an inexpensive musk video!
I love the 1970's too. Everything was better, even fragrances. Halston, Opium, Aromatics Elixir, Lauren, Chanel No.19, the musks by Coty, Jovan, etc. It's sad all these have been reformulated, some beyond recognition. Enjoyed your video and I wore most of the fragrances here but in their original formulas. Ahhh.
Your name says it all! Love it! 😁
Love this video. I have 3 of these that I recently acquired. Jovan musk, ciara, Halston. Have also gotten Charlie blue, which cane out in the 70s
Great choices!
Javon musk is heavenly 90s baby btw!!❤❤
I had lives baby soft back in the 90s lol I can’t remember where I got it from but it ended up in my mix of perfumes
Love this!! I was born in the 70’s as well but 79. So I don’t remember any of it, I wish I did!! Can’t wait to watch the 80’s vid after this cause that I do remember!! ❤️
The 80's video was actually my favorite one to make! Love those strong scents!
Love ur makeupppp
Thank you!
Ok I just ordered everyone of these perfumes.im 51 so I do remember part of these perfumes.but I wanted to see if I could go down memory lane a little bit..oh and if like to see the budget buy musks.i love musk.
That is awesome! Let me know what you think!
Skin Musk and White Shoulders and Clinique’s Aeromatics Elixer are my diehard fragrances.
Loved this video! High school 1971 and college 1975, so I wore all of those you featured. Halston was by far my favorite. New sub!
Thank you! 😁
Try Cinnabar! An 80's scent I definitely remember
That's a good one!
I seem to remember Sarah Jessica was gone on the Joven Musk. But I am happy to try all your musk suggestions as I can afford them. Thanks for the video.
I believe that Love's Baby Soft was an attempt to compete with Avon's Sweet Honesty, which entered the perfume market a year earlier and was all the rage by 74. I smelled Sweet Honesty in the fall of 1973 on a classmate - I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!
I used to be an Avon Lady, and I loved Sweet Honesty! Might have to revisit- thanks!
Great recommendations, thank you
I remember using coty wild musk and Jovan musk years back. These are truly vintage perfumes. I’m new here and just subbed. I do fragrance reviews too ❤️❤️
Yay- thank you! I just subbed to your channel and will check it out! Musks are my jam, and I love the affordable ones!
What about Enjoli?? 🎶I can bring home the bacon! Fry it up in a pan! And never never let you forget you're the man! Cause I'm a woman! 🎶 Enjoli! Where did that fragrance go??
I like your voice
Thank you!
I love the utter lack of perfume snobbery you exhibit here. ❤
I'm 54 and wearing Loves Baby Soft as I type this.
Love it and Skin musk as well.
Thank you! I will wear cheapies all day long if they smell good. No shame in my game!

Good for you! Especially in today's economy.
I really want to collect me some of that high faluting Tom Ford brand. Especially Bitter Peach
Can't do it at the moment ! 😆
@@PB_324 Tom Ford is my favorite fragrance house, coincidentally!
I love that Skin musk, the oil lasts forever, and it's cheaper than the spray. But I like to layer both. Skin musk was first made by Bonnie Bell, then they sold it to parfums de coeur, who makes it now. I don't know if it was reformulated. I hadn't heard that it was, only that it was sold to a different company.
When these fragrances were reformulated and the original DNA wasn't the same and it ruined them by changing the scent.
I just saw a video about a perfume maker who makes and sells perfume that doesn't bother complying with IFRA!! So there's hope...if they could recreate the original Jovan Musk, Coty Wild Musk oil, Loves Baby Soft, Rain, and Halston, they'd make millions!
Agreed!
Damn youtube ,they keep pushing the same channels.on me and by chance i found yours but it isnt right that they push the same ones and there are so many more that deserve to be seen that remain hudden duento youtubes silly algorithm. I made sure tonsave your videos to watch later. Thanks for creating, jeep it up!!❤ cheers from canada
Thank you so much- that means a lot! 😊
My mom said to ease up on the loves baby soft before I make the ladies start having flashbacks 😂❤
Too funny!
You forgot Jontue perfume. The old commercial is on You Tube. Famous line on the commercial, Jontue..sensual but not too far from innocence.
I LOVE the smell of Ciara. I smelled it on a woman once and fell in love. I am definitely going to pick up skin musk. When I first got into perfumes I read that Sarah Jessica Parker layered her own mixture with that oil and I bought it many years ago but I want to pick it up again! (I just finished the video and you said the same thing about SJP, lol)
Been buying Skin musk since 2004. My most recent one (I bought last year) smells the same
Now while SOME perfumes lose their character after reformulation - I've not noticed a difference with the exception of a few.
Dann you look amazing but 70s isnt that old lady, im 1984 baby. Catching up on buying all the perfumes i saw as a kid and couldnt buy..its fun, my inner child is happy. Tthere are some i cant remembwr their names so the hunt continues
Older perfumes are usually formulated to mask cigarettes smoke. Most smoked back then😂
Loves sugar kiss was great as well! I miss it soooo much
Don't think I ever tried that one!
Jovan Frankincense and Myrrh.
I love the 70’s even though I’m a 90’s baby I love Opium it’s a different kind of scent very retro but would it be suitable for someone who’s almost 30 ?
I say wear what you want, girl! You'll definitely stand out! 😁
I have never heard of skin musk
It's fantastic! Subtle. A nice warm yellow musk. I googled Skin musk by parfums de coeur and it's available at a drugstore near me, as well as online. So happy! I wear Kiehls Original musk all the time, but back in the day it was skin Musk and Coty Wild Musk oil and Jovan Musk...
These perfumes make me so nostalgic!💜 I love the original Opium- it was so good! Did you ever wear the original Chloe from back in the day? LOVE that! I also have the 100 strength Ciara, and it’s a banger!😂
I never wore Chloe, but now I definitely need the Ciara 100! 🤣 Thank you!
Ohhhhh i love Chloe soooo much ❤️❤️ and you know what i got the luck to find them from the collectors and have 3 bottles!!!!! Öne of the top 3 of my whole life along with the old formulated white linen and miss dior. Old formulations were magic 🥰🥰🥰🥰
And i can not believe that i'm wearing Halston togay 😮🌺🌺🌺🌺
@@aylinilkbaharllar4232 I absolutely agree!! Most perfumes today are like body sprays in comparison to older formulated perfumes!😂 Enjoy your Chloe!😍
@@kathywhite9411 thank you very much ❤️ i wish we were in the same country, so that i could gift one of them to you 🌺
Hi the Charlie you have in the video is Charlie Blue. It came out the same year as Charlie. Blue has mostly oakmoss. It's harsher than the original Charlie.
It’s so funny bc there is a certain smell that smells like church. Kind of an earthy smell or something. It was funny bc my husband said our house smelled like church lol. Odd lol
Not the worst smell, in my opinion! Haha.
Love’s Rainforest does not smell like Rain, unfortunately, but there’s an Eau De Cologne called Lancry, and the blue one has an original Love’s Rain vibe. I had both relatively recently and compared them side by side, and thought they were close enough in scent.
The original Love’s Baby Soft by Mem can still be found on a EBay, and is one that seems to hold up well through time. It was my first perfume :). What they sell now is definitely a little different, more powdery, and not as rich and nuanced.
Love’s Lemon was my favorite and I loved that it was just plain lemon. Sometimes I mixed grain alcohol with a good lemon essential oil for the same vibe. Eyup Sabri Tuncer Cesme Lemon, a Turkish lemon cologne, also has a similar vibe (not the Classic one).
I also loved Love’s Musky Jasmin, but that one is a unicorn, and goes for crazy prices when it does turn up :(.
I was born at the end of 71, so I remember all of these, and I recall by the time I was old enough to wear perfume musk oils were over shadowed by a lot of the perfumes that were coming out and popular in the 80s. If I could time travel back to the 70s, I’d stock pile musk oils, shampoos (the 70s & 80s had incredible shampoo scents!), and lemon perfumes.
Thanks for the video :).
Thank you for the insights!
How long does the baby soft last?
I haven't worn it in a while, but I don't recall it lasting very long. Maybe 3-4 hours? The old formula was so much better!
Love's Baby Soft ✔️
also...
Love's Rain Scent ✔️ (not Rainforest)
I loved Love's Rain!
@@limelightlass5018
Not ahsamed to admit, I've loved Love's Rain Scent for way over 3-4 decades... still do to this day. To me, it's so fresh, clean, happy and uplifting🤍💙
Thank goodness for ebay 🥰
💕🌸I loved getting the gift set at Christmas, with all 3!! Love's Baby Soft, Rain, and Fresh Lemon🌺 🌧️🍋
Have you ever had the 200% Ciara,?
Too much talk Lord just get to it
