Here's the new Lakewood Corvair, leading for the first time, guiding a crew of capable crawlers through an autumnal forest paradise. This location offers a wide variety of manmade and natural obstacles to challenge super-scale trucks to belly draggers and everything in between. It's a popular spot with RC friends driving hours and coming back again and again. On the move for over five hours, this group couldn't cover it all, with large parts left to explore another day.

Thanks, RCN. Funny thing is, in the home stretch I went to demonstrate for the others this cool but tough line I knew about and broke a portal gear, locking up one tire at the back. Theoretically, I could have driven out, but I was smart for a change, making me the only one who didn't drive back to the cars. Lucky for me it was only the last 20 minutes out of a long day. Anyway, you're right about a great bunch of trucks. Great bunch of guys too. You would like them. Mike was sipping a Coors in one hand and driving with the other, some guys shared funny cigarettes, Sean was cracking wise as usual. Kostas has a spare tire cover that reads, Life Is Like Rock Crawling, and I asked why or how. Sean's answer was best: If you take your eye off it for a second you fall down a big hill. LOL. So true.

Works great. You just have to set the adjustable wheelbase somewhere in the middle -- not short, not long, so the tires line up with the fenders. Be precise, otherwise you will have to cut the Lexan a lot to prevent rubbing. @@Fortes_RC_Adv
