I'm glad they're 60mm. There are not enough 58mm-60mm tires. Some of us want something that can still fit under hardbodies, but not look too massive like the unlimited rigs or caged chassis.
I would love to see the comparison between these and the injora 64mm. I’m currently running the Injoras and they do great but I love the look of these plus I run them on my 1/10th scale🤣

I love the 1.9 ruptures, I will definitely be getting some of these.
I also really liked the side by side of the same chassis on a tire on the same line. Helps perspective an absolute ton.
The price of these are a bit steep and seeing that their not actually 63mm is even more of a deterrent, I will gladly stick with a tire that's 90% as good but half the cost. JConcepts are supposed to be cheaper than Proline 🤷♂
Yeah the price is definitely steep on these. Not sure why they went so expensive on them but with all the money we put in these I guess they figure we’ll pay it. Definitely hard to put that money up when the injoras are half price and probably overall as good.
@@2fmrc Hopefully the Proline Trepador's are close to being as good, That's if we ever actually get them in hand. I pre-ordered mine on 7/22 and still no word.

I’m definitely with everyone who wishes they were bigger though.
Great review Matt. The Ruptures seem to have a lower tread height and smaller knobs. That would follow, my admittedly limited, theory that they would be well suited to your type of course. Fine to med. surface texture, with little in the way of large loose stones and little dirt/sand/mud. I just think the taller style knobs, combined with the soft compound flex and break over on their edges giving less rubber surface area contact and well as causing the 'hoping' when spinning due to the tread lugs snapping back when they finally let go from flexing over. Possible as well, on a mirco level, that the big knobs sit on top of the peaks, if you will, of the fine/med texture terrain. Not conforming/squishing into the texture. Where as smaller knobs with more siping fit down into the finer texture. But like I said, just a pet theory. Would be neat to see macro close-up video of tires climbing up a consistent surface of increasingly larger 'grit' or texture size to see what's going on.

Even if you ignore the fact that these are a known great 10th scale tire, you just know that the pockets inside the lugs will make them awesome. I'm not aware of anything else currently on the market like them in that aspect.
Yeah I love the pockets they have. The trail warriors from powerhobby are the closest imo
I've been really liking the Proline Trenchers for smaller builds. It's a standout from the dozen or so I've bought in the 50mm-63mm range over the last year.

Possibly. I don’t really want them ballooned out though. I normally prefer one size smaller on the flubs than they usually recommend lol

Ehhh I got a mullet build in progress (slayer) not so much a fan yet. Sort of the same result I had when I built one way back with scx/panda axles. Just a lot of kinks to work out. Hopefully I like it once it’s lined out. I ended up tossing the panda axle and went back straight on my old build lol. Definitely not changing this one!

YESSSS, but I hate how they are 60mm.... j concepts would be king of the competition if they came out in 64mm actually measured. A great tyre but needs to be 64mm

I cant wait to put a set of these on some of the poorboy rc wheels. I think that combo is gonna be about the highest level of comp style tire package for me. Im ok with the 60mm size, That seems to be the end of a scalish look. I feel like when you start getting bigger than that youre gaining more COG height than its worth.
I got two sets of them injora I really thought about every other big spread out cuz I've had some pretty good climbs with them so far I mean some pretty steep gnarly stuff but they do spend a little bit more than I liked and one thing that I see they got going for him and see if you watch when they're trying to find something that you can literally watch the tread fold-over you know they ain't too stiff to where they just bounce a whole lot I cannot wait on my new jconcepts to get in I found if you shut the injora pin tires it makes a huge difference I mean huge like I watch the Step Up 50% I really couldn't believe it man I cut all the sets of 2 off

They NEED to make 4.75 ruptures man. They’re just BARELY too big for some of the more scale rigs like trx4 21 bronco

That’s really a personal opinion for each person to decide to me. Performance is mostly my concern. For me it’s not really terrible since the tires perform but I totally understand it is for many. Especially if they suck like the first batch of jconcepts tires did lol

How would they stand against injora pin tire on that course..?
I’ll have to run them back to back and see! I haven’t ran the Injora pins in awhile. Kinda went away from them when the ogrc pins came out cause they seemed to work a bit better for me. Don’t think I even have the injoras mounted anymore. I’ll have to mount some up lol

Yeah they won’t listen to me. They’ll send these to a bunch of people to test that will do nothing but stroke their egos a bit. They don’t want real feedback. Just like most of these companies. Most of the time they are going to release what they are going to release. They’ll send them out to “team drivers” for testing which means “hey, go push these as much as possible” 😆
at 60 in this day and age they're really neither here nor there. that plus the price... they'd need to be hands down no contest the best tires every by quite a margin for me to even consider them :/

@@72_RC I’m pretty sure it bolted straight up to the stock mount best I can remember. I didn’t run it real long. Just had to bolt it in and glue a pinion on.

Yeah I cut a small hole at 12 & 6. I actually got mine straight from jconcepts site because that’s the only place they were available at the time.

Do you think scramblers are still the king?
They are still very very good. I’ll have to run them back to back with some of these newer releases and see what I think honestly. Still love them and their size is almost perfect for me most of the time.
@@2fmrc I’ve tried a bunch of tires and scramblers have just always worked for me. But I’m open to trying others I just know how they compared
