Thank you for your comment and we are very happy that you are finding our videos helpful! Best of luck on your exam!
I got approved Monday to take my exam tomorrow. I have been doing all on the job training at my work. No CNA course. Just worked as PCA and challenged the exam. Sadly, while in training they do not teach you the skills the right way. They half-ass everything and forget important hygiene steps because "they don't have for all that" So now I am cramming all these videos into my brain watching over and over so I am prepared to take my exam tomorrow at 8am. If I fail this exam, I will be enrolling in this specific course if still offered.
Same here. I am scheduled to take the exam this month and though I should do well on the written, I'm not sure on a lot of the skills. You can shadow CNA's however most do NOT follow the steps like in the video and what are required to pass. Your better off just watching these videos over and over. Best of luck!!!

Thank you ms patty and victor great i believe we will pass the exam I know verbalizing everything is a must. I just wanted to know if I had to raise the head of the bed to dress the top for the exam.
You do not HAVE to raise the head of the bed...it just makes it easier! The patient can then lean forward while you put her shirt on. There are many ways to do this skill and not all ways will work with all patients. But the patient for this skill can sit up and lean forward, so make it easy on yourself! Best of luck!
I recommend everybody these videos special the people that are going to challenge the test, if you guys memorize all the video is 100% success!

These videos are amazing I was just wondering how do you know when to wash your hands or when to say "I would wash my hands"?
+LAWICKED MEXICANA You must wash your hands at the beginning of every skill (before providing ANY patient care) and AFTER completing patient care. Our skills book details this in step by step instructions for each skill and can be order on our website www.4yourCNA.com. Best of luck!

At the end of the skill if we make the bed higher i know we have to lower it, but do we lower the head of the patient and cover them with the bed sheet after completing dressing?
The entire bed height should be lowered at the end of the skill for safety, but the head of the bed is about patient comfort. Maybe they want to remain upright to watch TV, eat or visit with family. Maybe they want to lie down to rest. Either way - it's up to the patient (unless the care plan specified a specific position). So, you can ask at the end of the skill or leave it up for the patient to adjust to comfort. You do not have to pull the sheet up - again, this is comfort. Most people won't get completely dressed then get back under the covers. Usually if you are getting dressed, you are getting up. Remember, for the exam, this is not the END of the story for the patient. The patient's day will be going on after your skill ends. So, for the exam, the skill ends with the patient lying in bed, but in a clinical setting, they may be getting up to go to dining or activities or appointments. I hope this helps!
Congratulations I'm in class now hopefully I will pass when I'm done with classroom
Great video, but for anyone who is taking your boards they now require you to undress the weak side first!
I have been watching all of these vids and love them but would like to know if they are still good for taking the exam in 2018 ?

@@4yourcna I heard there is a new ROM for elbow now. Can you make a video on this?
@@4yourcna Its not free lol. You have to either pay for their book or pay for the class. Misleading advertising.
I have my test on the 19 of this month and am challenging the test since I did the class a few years ago and never took the state exam. My question is you don’t need gloves to dress the resident ?
I know this is late but you dont, you only need gloves when coming in contact with fluids
do you have to use a blanket for privacy ir can you just the flat instead in the examm and also everything your doing is it for the florida exam?
You are not required to use a privacy blanket for this skill - but you must keep the patient covered for their comfort. Think of it this way: your perception of temperature is different from the patient's because you are fully dressed and very active (the temperature will feel warm to you) while they are in a thin hospital gown and inactive (the temperature will feel colder to them). If you take away the sheet, they will REALLY feel cold, and probably a bit exposed due to the lack of clothing, especially while you are getting them dressed. Since we have to put the patient's pants and socks on, the sheet will probably be in the way for those steps. You can untuck the sheet, if you wish, but then you must remember to re-tuck it at the end of the skill. The point is - you are demonstrating that you understand the patient's right to comfort, dignity and privacy. If you remove the sheet, you must use a blanket. If you choose to use the sheet instead, make sure it covers the patient at all times. Hope this helps!
Does it matter what order you clothe them in?
