  • Parasakthi courtroom scene stars Tamil megastar Sivaji Ganesan in his first-ever film. Sivaji Ganesan has dazzled the Tamil film audience with his powerful performances for many decades. My favorite actor Sivaji Ganesan from the film Paraskthi
Parasakthi (transl. The Supreme Goddess; pronounced [paɾaːsakti]) is a 1952 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Krishnan-Panju and written by M. Karunanidhi. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, S. V. Sahasranamam, S. S. Rajendran, Sriranjani Jr., and Pandari Bai. It is the cinematic acting debut of Ganesan and Rajendran. Based on Pavalar Balasundaram's play of the same name, Parasakthi narrates the misfortunes that befall the members of a Tamil family during World War II.

The spoken Tamil is different from written Tamil. Here he is speaking written Tamil or formal Tamil. Mastering the pronunciation of Tamil phonemes are difficult for Tamils themselves. But Shivaji has mastered it perfectly. In current generation hardly 1% of the Tamils pronounce Tamil perfectly. All switched to English and Hindi learning left with just colloquial spoken Tamil. There three types of " la" three type of " na" and two type of " ra" . All tongue twisters basically...lol

you are absolutely correct because they lack tamil literature knowledge
Mainly due to switching from reading tamil novels to watching TVs and using social medias
And they think gaining wasteful approval through social media is better than being knowledgeable ones

@@ReactionCheck yes. Marlon brando uses dialogue prompting, reminders to speak dialogues. But sivaji ganesan speaks 2 pages, 3 pages of dialogues out of memory itself. Because sivaji is a stage drama artist where he is used to act in hour long plays with long dialogues without prompters. There is an uncut scene of him talking a lengthy dialogue for 7 minutes. This clip is his first movie clip but not first acting , he had acted in 1000s of plays before entering movies. Marlon brando openly admitted memorising dialogues is not an absolute necessary for an actor. But sivaji could do a whole lot.
Sivaji's acting is not subtle and it is loud and eccentric because in those days tamilnadu audience were used to stage plays with dramatic performances and loud dialogues. But sivaji can emote a lot subtly too and there are multipe performances like that. He acted as lead hero in approx 265 films which is a global record. ( excluding supporting acting roles).

Only after this movie rational thinking / social issue became a subject in Tamil cinema. Sivaji ganesan’s is a brilliant actor. To debut in a movie where the dialogues of the movie penned by Muthuvel Karunanidhi (respectfully known as Kalaignar) directly shot him to fame. Tamil cinema and Tamilnadu politics have been closely associated from very early times. Many political aspirants of those days were also writers, playwrights and scriptwriters for films. They influenced the people by highlighting social themes in cinema. They used cinema as a vehicle for social change, as well as a means to attain political power. Writers C N Annadurai (aka Anna), M Karunanidhi (Kalaingar), actors M G Ramachandran (MGR) and Jayalalitha all CMs of Tamilnadu were from cinema.
