  • In this Style Arc sewing tutorial we have made our Stacie Jean Jacket using three pairs of recycled men's jeans. We will take you through the making of the collar and hem band and show you how we tricked up the sleeve. The Stacie Jean Jacket is sold on its own (link below) but also sold as a discount bundle for our World Traveller Look (link below).
Our Stacie Jean Jacket sits on the high hip with flattering shaping through the body. The sleeve features a deep hem so can be worn turned up for a casual look.

I learned how to sew using goodwill donated clothes. I have quite a few outfits made out of beautiful fabric that was less than $5. It’s such a great way to save while you learn. Fabric is costly. ♻️

Like you I am up cycling jeans for a Stevie Jean Jacket. It took 3 pairs of jeans, and I am excited for some of the features that the old jeans bring to the style of the garment. I love that you have reused fabric from old jeans. The tutorial was a great help especially around the collar and working close to your pattern snips. Excellent , thanks. I feel more confident about stitching it all together now.

Your video is very helpful. I love love love this jacket! However, I always need an FBA (I have 6" difference between high bust and full bust) but have no idea how to do it on this pattern. Also my bust apex needed lowering by 2,5", which I have done, hoping that the larger size I shose will compensate for it. But my bust still doesn't fit. Would be grateful for any advice. Thank you.

    Her poor domestic machine!!
You need a thicker thread 🧵 and jean needle on top stitching.

What's the point of your comment. She said she was using a jean needle and thicker thread. Her machine is doing fine.
