    Though this pattern does not have the greatest instructions, it is super simple to make and can be whipped up in no time!

    If any pattern company needed folks to do tutorials, it is style arc. Thank you for this.

      I wholly agree with that sentiment. Thanks and good luck with your project!

    Excellent sew along, and your review is spot on! I like the designs of Style Arc patterns and their pants fit me very well. You are correct about the directions, but worth the effort.

    Thank you, I've heard that Style Arc patterns have very few instructions. I wonder why the company won't create better instructions. Anyway, after researching the pattern I like the fit and I'm purchasing the pattern. Thank you Debby

      Yeah, and if you aren't familiar with sewing patterns then it can be a daunting task (plus I always learn better through video than I do text). Glad I could help!

    I read that Style Arc patterns are really made for people in the sewing industry, for ready to wear. The really small seam allowances and sparse instructions are definitely for advanced sewists. There is no room to let out a seam. On the other hand they fit well and possibly are designed like ready to wear which seems to have more room in the waist and bust. I like Style Arc patterns if I can figure them out! Thank you for this sewalong. I just bought this pattern.

      You hit the nail on the head. They are more like RTW - making muslins with their patterns is always a good idea, but I do find they often fit quite well. Perhaps I should do more of their Sew Alongs 😍

    I thank you so much for this tutorial ! I have the Style Arc Beth Stretch Pant pattern which is very similar. I’ve sewed for decades and have never seen waistband construction like this, which is quite flattering and reminds me of ready to wear. So great to have you as my teacher! Subscribed!

    • @SheerStitchery
      @SheerStitchery  Před rokem +2

      You are very welcome for this. Also, I think Style Arc drafts patterns RTW so it would make sense that they construct them similarly. Also, they are such a comfy pair of pants!

      @@SheerStitchery oh yippee yi yay!! I finished them a bit ago and they fit so well, and your clear instructions made a beautiful waistband . I made this pant with a stretch woven , but thanks to you I am now encouraged to use up all these ponte and scuba knits I got when Hancocks went out of business . And right now I am going to sit down with tea and binge watch your videos!!

      @@Nurse3811 oh that is so wonderful! These would be so comfy in a ponte. The Hudson Joggers are also fab in a ponte for a super casual pant.

    Thank you so much for this. I just purchased this pattern and was trying to find an explanation for one of the instructions. 🤔 So glad I found you before I started. Also, your input on adding side pockets made me rethink that as well.

    You would look great in any color. The one in flesh color looked good on you. I have made about 6 pair of the StyleArc Sage pants and they fit really nice. I am tired of the three extra pieces it has so I own the Barb Pattern and am going to try them next. I like StyleArc patterns but their instructions are a bit confusing. Love Notions has the best instructions in my experience.

    The blush pink is very on trend, I like them. Thanks for the heads-ups on the poor pattern assembly instructions! Typical of Style Arc. They look super comfortable!

    This video is very helpful, thank you! I was wondering which type and size of needle, and thread you used to sew these ponte fabric pants. TIA!

    • @SheerStitchery
      @SheerStitchery  Před 3 lety +2

      I used a stretch needle and polyester thread. I typically use only polyester thread (unless I specify otherwise). And if you have an overlocker (serger) be sure to change the needle to a stretch needle on that as well. Can't wait to see how they turn out on you!

    Thank you for this sew along. I’m a bit confused on the sizing, I see it says add 2” between sizes is that it, I mean it’s a bit basic when you spend X amount of money and only get the basics 🫣🤔

    • @SheerStitchery
      @SheerStitchery  Před 2 lety +1

      I know, the instructions are not what I expected when I bought the pattern. So glad it helped you out :)
