The suspend combo is really cool, but also the standard gameplay of just using it to cut distance is amazing. Good example of this would be someplace like bannerfall during trials where you are out in the middle, the enemy is sniping from one of their spawn doorways, just use this to close off the doorway and push up on them. But yeah, huge props to bungie for a cool new exotic.
It’s good In pvp but also pve landing the barrinade near enemies stuns them sorta like flash nade
The exotic is probably one of my favorites, it's so unique, this exotic and bakris is exactly what I want to see coming out of Bungie.
My dream exotic are titan arms that lets you hold out a shield Infront of you similar to the hardlight shield from Halo 4.
Here I am hoping for arms that's let's us pull out throwing hammer back to us and increases roaring flames by 2 also
I think most of us are dreaming of the "Norse Super Hero" Gauntlets or "Redacted Via TM" Gauntlets 😄
For sure, it doesn’t it make more sense to make this one a gauntlet? I would have designed it to have the balls orbiting on the shoulders like little planets. Fits right in with recent raid.
@@damonm3 yeah after I got this exotic I was thinking the same thing, probably would've fit better(and had cooler design options) if it were arms.. who knows though, maybe Bungie was thinking Titan already has a good amount of good Titan exotic gauntlets(especially along with all the changes they made this season to the other Titan exotic gauntlets), whereas Titan chests are lacking quite a bit... Definitely love the idea of yours though as I'm not a fan at all of this exotics aesthetic

Yeah I’ve been using it since it released. It does have a learning curve. Best way I’ve found to use it is to block off lanes so you can push up and get into cover. Or to even jump into a lane so you can make ppl back off. Use it with void for instant Overshield and you’ll be set. You’ll have to get used to not having your grenade since you’ll be forced to use the barinade instead. Also you can’t use your barricade normally anymore so you’ve really gotta be ontop of it when your using this chest piece

It's really fun to where you never get bored of it, and then when it gets popular and nerfed it disappears forever
I mean, it's solely a PvP focused exotic. I don't really see any time in PvE where this would be more useful than any other exotic we currently have. I actually haven't used it at all since I got it since I mainly play PvE and I also havne't been playing much this season becasue PvE has just been boring. Even the seasonal activity is kinda Meh.
@@traviskraftphotography It has some use in gm level content for pushing up further whilst staying save. Aswell as securing a res. And if you think about it, it'll probably be more useful with suspend builds since your going to be getting your barricade back over time whilst saving your normal grenade so it's kinda like walking around with three suspend grenades. However it's use will depend on bungie making more aspects/ fragments that make the barricade do something on use. But that's probably why I like it. It's a unique exotic that's ready and primed for future mechanics biding it's time. It has great utility with suspend but if we get more barricade interactions baked into the titan kit in the future? HOO BOI.

I can see this getting the Bakris treatment. Cooldown before Class Ability starts regen.
If you use the suspend granade you can do suspend after suspend
It never really occurred to me how little barricade synergy there is in titan subclasses until this exotic came out. Outside of gap closing the only synergies with arbor is the suspend and the overshield barricades. Kinda wish some of the other subclasses had at least something
Only issue I have with this exotic is the barrier has some weird damage cool down where when you hit someone with it they don't take damage from the barrier for a second or so like they would if it was a normal barrier they walked through
Absolutely love watching your game play, Gold. You're one of the best in the game. That said, I have noticed a lot more profanity and contempt toward other players lately than your commentary contained even just a few months back. I like watching your game play, but when I first started watching, one of the things I really liked is that it seemed that you had more humility than most of the pvp community (many of whom can be pretty toxic - unnecessarily so). You have been a breath of fresh air by avoid that mentality that seems so typical of so many pvp players. It would be nice to see that humble side of your personality win out in the end. (IMHO, that makes for a much better viewing experience for all - and it's a great way to lead by example to teach people that they don't always have to be jerks to everyone around them.)
I love being able to spend time now to save it later. The ability to just have a shield up almost instantly with no slow animation is so nice.
I've been using this with strand and Jotunn (I recommend using rally barricade since you get it back more often). It's the most evil thing you can do other than running Jotunn with shadebinder
I've done the suspend a Tcrash with suspend barrier thing, can confirm its actually pretty easy and INCREDIBLY hilarious
Friendly tip you can cancel the animation by sprinting right before the punch hits the grenade.

Been using it recently with a cascade point taraxippos and devils ruin, it’s amazing 😂

Just remember, Hunters got big crab arms that buffs glaives (and that no one uses). Titans get a cool flower, and a grenade barricade suspending exotic. I'm not jealous...
Imagine getting to be so good you can make heavy’s suicide themselves, you also find yourself barricade damaging enemies down to zero for clean ups. You can also throw dflashbangs and suppressors and incindiery tactfully through barricades
I don’t have that exotic chest piece for the Titan yet but now I’m gonna try to get it.
I've tried this with stasis glacier nades. Trap people with ice and then throw the shield. It's like a shatterdive you can throw. Not consistent but funny
I feel like thats not inefficient, right? Because you have to nade, then charge the barri-nade and throw. Thats got to tske a long ass time

As a titan new to pvp, how do you learn to move like that? Iv seen a lot of people doing the constant sliding, do you just get used to always doing that in combat?

Does anyone know if charging the bari-nade activates reaper? Or is it the throwing of the bari-nade? Because you could make some nasty PvP orb builds (2 tap 120 hc with 3 surge and radiant etc.) without having to deplete a class ability to get an orb

low key I fucking love strand titian I've gone flawless with it and when arc titian gets nerfed its going to be at min 2nd best titian or the top. It really helps if you think like you're a bowling ball and if you have a good strand hunter with you, you can wipe whole teams like old shatter dive
Also imagine throwing a shield right infromt of a roaming super coming towards you and just depleting their health like this can be insane
there'S a 3 second timer before the barricade can damage anyone. i was hoping for those kinda plays too

i know right for anyone who don't have igneous , the bottom dollar can roll with 90 range with explosive payload if you want it or 75 range and then rangefinder and opening shot is also nice i have both rolls and both are good, i beat pulses and trading with graviton

See, these are the type of exotics that are awesome. A reasonable skill gap, and just plain unique and fun. I can't remember the last time an exotic of that description came out for warlock.

I agree it's good but it feels like it's missing something. Like maybe it could regen barricade faster while the grenade is held or something. But it is fun and really fun for trolling in raids.
There’s already too many barricades, being able to store one while the other recharges is plenty good
strand already allows you to regen class ability energy by killing suspended targets and using kickstart. Your suggestion sounds a bit overkill

I feel like the way to balance strand in general is to make it so you can aim down sight and punch when your suspended because like gold said when you suspend someone there is nothing that person can do about it and that person just dies to the person using strand in it’s current state i do like the fact that it gets rid of the deploying barricade animation tho on top of the fact that with strand it suspends to so you can be more mobile when using barricades so overall it’s a W imo but I do have to double down on the fact that suspending in general using strand needs some fine tuning 🫡

Um did you miss the stasis roll out?
You would get frozen dead solid for 30 seconds from a grenade, while in a super.....it was the most aggravating shit ever. At least with strand you can hip fire back and mele.....You couldn't do shit while frozen.
