So we all know that Strand Titans excel as a Champion and Boss killer with Synthos or Worm Gods with a 1 2 Punch Shotty, But what if they also had the best AOE Add clear Build as well! I think this opening gameplay where we are 15 power level under speaks for itself.
We have a infinite grapple Punch that can take out entire rooms filled with enemies in a single Punch, all while still procing Banner of War and Woven mail to make us Unkillable.
So this means strand titans have the best End game boss killer build, and the best area of effect, Add killer Build. The other build that comes to mine when talking AOE Add killer is the Sunbracer Solar Warlock that has reigned supreme for a while. But I really do think this build pushes stands toe to toe with the SunLock.
You have a x4 Banner of war for Healing on Titan and x2 Restoration on a Warlock.
Banner heals the entire team whereas Restoration only heals the Warlock.
Banner gives Melee damage increase which includes our Grapple Melee and our 3 charges of Frenzied Blade.
Warlock gets an Ignition proc off their Melee.
Now our punch can clear an entire room but so can a Sunbracer warlock with those Solar grenades.
But I think the most important thing is the ease of use of the Strand Titan. It's a single grapple punch.
That's it, The punch procs Banner of war and can easily hit a X3 or x4 in a single punch. It procs our
melee damage increase, It procs our Woven Mail as well because our grapple punch creates 2 Orbs of Power off
every punch! I thought Bungie said that was no longer possible quite a while back but it definetly is!
Where as the ease of use of Sunbracers is a bit harder to get the loop down and yes some people struggle with it and that's perfectly fine! Not everyone is a god Teri gamer like I know some of you are going to say in the comments that sunbracers are soo easy plunder.
And the last thing I want to point out is that this Build is well self sustained from the Mods and Subclass that any weapons will work with it. I ran it with a ton of different options like Monte Carlo for more Melee ability, Bloodline to add Devour to the Build which is just insane, Quicksilver Storm to play into Strand more and even Dragon's Breach for Solar Ignitions to add to the mix. Point is with not requiring a certain weapon
it opens up the Playstyle to whatever fits you best, heck you could add a 1 2 Punch shotty if you wanted too.

since severance procs on finishers, it's also fun to use the fragment that spawns threadlings on finishers. finishing yellow bars releases a swarm to mop up after the big boom

With Severance Enclosure, you actually almost guaranteed to make more than 1 threadlings with finishing a red bar, due to the additional kills from the exotic explosion and unusual interaction during finisher, instead of the usual 1 single threadling spawn without the exotic. I almost always spawn 2 to 3 each finisher on any red bar. Very useful.
@@mpchi yeah, the most I've seen from one finisher is six
@@mpchidoes that mean severance explosions kills count as finisher final blows? I assume the fragment works by just spawning a Threadling each time you get a finisher kill, so I wonder if it applies to other things that require finishers, like certain bounties.
This sounds awesome, BUT what fragment would you guys recommend swapping out? Because all the fragments in this video are useful.
As a longtime lover of Severance Enclosure, I cannot believe this build never occurred to me. Now I have to try it.

Ive been waiting for someone to cover this build, its so much fun, ive been running buried bloodline, sowrdbreaker and either corrective measure or retrofit escapade depending on if i need boss damage. The new rocket sidearms ammo economy works well on double special and devour and weaken send the build over the top imo

For exotic weapon, my mind keeps going to the ghosts of the deep exotic trace, where with the catalyst you can spawn a grapple point and debuff enemies
I absolutely love the solar version of this build especially since you can pick up your throwing hammer and have an almost 100% upkeep on roaring flames and exploding the room with a throwin hammer.

As a Strand main(all 3 classes), you really oughta use that Grapple on your thrown tangle, maximizing the Grapple uptime. I noticed you don't do it often in your videos. Still, nice content, as usual.

@@Plunderthabooty You can also grapple ON the tangle before picking it up and throwing it for another free grapple
So the loop consists of: Strand weapon kill to spawn tangle > grapple on floating tangle + melee > grab + throw tangle towards next group (should aim higher than usual) > grapple + melee.
After that you will still have the original grapple charge and possibly another tangle since their cool down has been generously reduced

@@Plunderthabooty in the video you never mentioned what to put on the chest in the class item for mods I noticed on your link, it shows it, but specifically why do you want special finisher over some of the other ones like One to finisher or anything else why special finisher on the class item for this build

Been using this build since LightFall came out, glad to see it get some love. ❤️ Hopefully they’ll give it another buff that adds more subclass synergy like Finisher or Powered Melee oriented Fragments for each subclass or just a Subclass effect on Severance Enclosure similar to Bombardiers or Chromatic Fire. 🙏🏾
I used to do severance void finisher Titan and thought it was really strong, so I never expected the buff to SE. I am very very happy with this

I’m running a different version of this. It uses HOIL for the regen and boost to ability strength. Also the primary is travellers chosen for close quarters damage and ability regen, plus it has Osmosis so it gets unravelling rounds. With the insane ability uptime I don’t have time to use the other 2 weapons.
If you use the chair finisher you can send exploding enemies to blow up the other side of the room.

Severance is an underrated exotic. Been running a vold build with it for the past few seasons and it works wonders for add clear
Pro tip vs taken phalanx's. You can grapple melee directly into their shields and still kill them. You don't need to do all the extra work you did at 5:40 to be able to take out a group of them with the grapple melee. You're welcome console players who weren't aware of that and it's been a source of frustration for you.
I tried this build before. Was fun but I switched it to solar hammer. Before, the explosion was every other hammer kill but now after the nerf its every kill.

I am a returning player who never really jelled with strand titan, I was stuck in how fun stasis was. Coming across this video made me want to actually try it and also new content. Thanks for this, I may actually try this with final warning since its all the current hotness right now!! Great Vid, keep up the good work!
This is basically my build but I do run the crotas shotty with one two, and a Marcato with slice onslaught 😂 it clears rooms quick, finished a rivens lair run in 8:05 lol
Severance with Void and the Give ‘Em the Chair finisher is just ridiculous

You’re quickly becoming my favorite go to guy for builds! I cannot find what class item mods you chose for this build in the video. I’m just going to go with Bomber, Distribution, and Reaper.

Try it with the Navigator for infinite Grapple Points. This sounds really fun, not gonna lie. Finally, something that isn't a Wormgod/Synthoceps build.
Could use navigator with the caty so you don’t use up your grenade charge. Unlimited grapples. You won’t have Monte Carlo but with Into the fray aspect, you’ll have plenty of melee charges. (Should)
Funny thing I was experimenting with this exact exotic and strand yesterday. And just threw together something real quick so didn’t have time to optimize it as we where about to do an activity.
I never even thought of using a non-solar subclass for this exotic. This is awesome.
I know there’s a lot of people way better at pve than me, but I did solo flawless on ghosts and warlords ruin, farm gm’s, master raids, do day 1’s if I have free time when they launch, and I genuinely struggle to constantly keep restoration up on sunbracers in high level content. It’s just not something I can do 100% of the time at the moment, especially with the restoration bugs if I include firesprites to make the activation easier. On the flip side, banner of war is super easy for me to maintain in endgame content, so this build is really appealing if I feel the need to focus on ad clear. But really the play is just to toss on an ad clear special with banner of war and syntho’s/wormgod’s unless you’re in something below gm level or esoterickk/someone of that level. Especially on console. Skill issue I know, but the difficulty vs reward of strand titan is impossible to pass up in a gm setting.
I am convinced Grapple mele is going to get a cool down. All those Navigator 1-2 chads one phasing dungeon bosses have pretty much guaranteed it.
Strand titan in general, especially with a one-two punch shotgun is the most fun I've ever had playing destiny.
I've played destiny on and off since launch and played warlock for the entirety of it. Then i came back at the end of season of the witch and haven't quit playing titan since. And I don't even have the navigator yet.
Severance Enclosure has felt so good to use this season, I've been loving it on every element!
Will be hard to switch off synthos but I will definitely try this out. Love it with bonk hammer and void titan.

I think they left in Heavy Handed + Firepower interaction but took out the Hands On + Ashes to Assets interaction on the Grapple Melee
No they definitely took it out. I use to run the heavy handed firepower combo on my grapple slap hunter all the time when it first was introduced. They took it out because of how fast you could build super, but now its back. Its either not suppose to be working again or its working because if the recent change to the cooldown on orb production dependent upon how many of the mod you have equipped. 10 seconds for 1, 5 for 2, 1 for 3. Its not completely the same because of the cooldown since x2 heavy handed is 5 seconds and x1 firepower is 10 seconds so the way its working now is every 10 seconds you can make 2 orbs from a grapple melee unlike before you could make two orbs as fast as you could grapple and punch
I'm only see you getting 1 ord for the melee kills not 2. Is it bugged that you see 2 on the ground but it's just not showing up in the UI
Plunder, haveyou tried arc titan with healing? Dungeon crossbow (too bad its void but devour, need i say more), or precious scars and some demolitionist arc weapons!
Since we are in yet another Solar season, I want to see a Phoenix cradle build.
Easy. Polaris lance with ashes, eruption, solace, char. Plays better on warlock with dawn chorus but its pretty good on titan

Jokes aside, I'll have to give this a look, the last one I vaguely remember relied on a bug, or a weird void titan interaction that got fixed iirc. I never got to try that, and this looks good fun.
Honestly a strand build that isn't hunter using grapples already immediately catches my interest. Picturing this build with devour is plain insane survivability.

This is almost exactly the build I've been putting together this season.
Though I can't use it yet because I still refuse to go near Neomuna for my last aspects and fragments.
I think Severance would be even better if it applied an elemental debuff matching what subclass you’re using. It might actually be too good then?

😅I had the same idea with the build but I wasn't sure if the explosions were happening when I hit enemies with my powered melees and grapple.
With the blood line exotic and precious scars you can have devour, restoration, and banner of war on the same build.
I thought I was the only one using this exotic with strand I'm glad someone else using it to its so fun I absolutely love it
Might try this. I always use Severance on void before (not sure now if it still proc with the finisher fragment).
And this season on a Solar...that bonk hammer is really bonkers.
Severance is way underrated and just so much more fun to use than sunbracers. Nice to see it getting some love. Dope build 🤘🏼
That I didn’t think about this myself… Will definitely give it a try. Tried SE with bonk and it fun for lower end content. Think that this will hold up some longer
Just ran a gm with a team, was definitely viable enough, the only issue its trying to proc the explosions when the adds themselves hit so danm hard, but other than that, its a nice build
You know, I've had Navigator since it became available and I've never *ever* considered using this exotic with it. I don't take off the Strongholds often but when I do it's because of a fun melee build... Def gonna give this a spin later~

I personally find Sunbracers to be such an easy gameplay loop, however it has been my main build since Starfire got nerfed so I've been using it for most of a year
Now I wanna try severance enclosure with flecthette storm and banner of war with monte carlo, the range and abiltiy to kill multiple enemies at once might make for a fun tme if you have multiple severance explosions going off at the same time

No doubt , each character is so uniquely different, builds just makes this even more apparent. I play all 3 , but I gotta be honest I get bored punching after a while . The Titans awesome they just need a long range super that doesn't suck !

Wasnt aware severance did more dmg. It was always fun but I found it slightly lacking. Gonna give this a go!
If you use flechettes, you watch everything explode while in the air. It's satisfying for sure... until you do anything above legend...
That was my only issue with Flechette, You have to drop one of the survivability Aspects that do a lot lol I was like okay I'll drop Into the Fray but then lose Free Woven for myself and team and the insane melee regen 😅

15 to 20 power, pretty much anything under a GM it can perform great in

Yup you are right when it comes to a harder content i have seen much less warlocks procking those solar flowers in gms or masters i think you can become a real masjistic warlock if uaster sunbracers and it would be hard

So this season they finally fixed the BUG ? Before SEVERANCE ENCLOSURE never work with strand titan, neither the grapple punch nor the powered melee. Haven't test this season but it looks like they finally fixed it, nice to hear !
Just tested, yes finally it works now. Both grapple and melee. However, the damage is still pathetic, good choice for low lvl content, maybe max to legendary lvl, still useless for end game .
I know no one will see this but is this build viable for raids and dungeons? I was thinking about using with build for add clear then swapping to Syntho or wormgod for boss damage. Ive never done a raid so personally i would just use worm god or syntho for the whole raid. Also im thinking about doing strand titan for ghost of the deep but i know the boss fight will take me around 2 hours to beat considering that boss is long.
Anyone saying this build is trash clearly hasn't taken it through a GM as it destroys ads if you know when to melee at the right time

Dunno ... ive tried it on the coil , i didnt like it . Explosion doenst kill trash mobs often, I've switched to synthoceps again and it felt much better
