Def Leppard - "Bringin' on the heartbreak" next please! =)
Version 2 though love version 1 but everyone does that one
This served as proof that heavy rock has all the room the world for melody.
For my vote, ANYTHING from Pyromania is fantastic.
Pyromania would have easily been album of the year, if not for Thriller.
Yelp crank up some Die Hard the Hunter by Def Leppard
Yelp MJ I remember well the early 80s I graduated high school 1980 dam !
@@robertbruce7772 Facts, honestly Pyromania is leagues above Thriller on the whole, but the mob prefers Pop over Rock/Metal so bands like Def Leppard get the shaft!
Def Leppard is one of the greatest rock bands in history. My first rock show was 1988 on the Hysteria tour at the Tacoma Dome in Washington State. I lost my voice for a week. Keep Rock Alive!! 🤘🏽🖤🔥🙌🏼
So retro that the drummer still had two arms!!
Next one from Def Leppard - Too late for love 😎👍🎶
Or (Promises)
Def Leppard “photograph” 80’s classic!
Its amazing to listen to them after the drummer lost his arm. He still kills it.
Love me some Def Leppard. Best album ever is High 'n' Dry, still, to this day.
Thanks for this one. This was the one that made me a Def Leppard fan. They were great live. (Yeah, that's how old I am.)
Man, I remember when this video world premiered on MTV. Back when that used to be a thing...a real event.
The album came out in 1983, I was 31 years old. The day it hit the record stores, I just had to have it. This album made the band superstars, as well as millionaires.
Def Leppard - Animal (the music video), definitely one of their best songs
So many memories of a classic hit. Def Leppard was the band that first started me liking Rock and Metal!!! They still play to this day minus one of their original guitarists who passed away and the drummer who lost an arm in an accident. Hes still plays on a special made kit. Awesome video and awesome band!!!
I was ten years when Pyromania came out, here in México it was huge. I remeber a group of kids, we were like 20 boys, from 10 to 17 playing soccer in front of a house where other friends lived, they were 4 brothers, between junior high and high school, they put on the radio on the background while we played, it was a now extingued station called Stereo Rock (I missed it!). When Rock of Ages, Photograph or Follin' came out, wich were in heavy rotation, one of the brothers runed to the house and cranked up the volume, it was amazing playing and listening to Rock music in the background, it was amazing! The 80's was a great time for Rock music, specially here in México, God! I miss those days! Greetings from Monterrey, México.
Suzy Q, always cracks me up, but today Travis, “don't be weird about it just take a glance” I nearly died laughing! 😂👍
I've seen them live and their light show was always great. Also "I was 5 when the 80s ended"..... I've never felt so old! 🤣
For some more 80's goodness. Krokus Screaming at the Night, and Dokken Dream Warriors
Rokken with Dokken! \m/
Yep Dokken is still my favorite metal band of the 80s
Good call. Krokus-screaming in the night is one of my all time favorites.
This was one of those videos that epitomized the whole "larger than life" thing that bands seemed to execute around '83 when MTV had only been around for about 2 years. Many bands around then were learning what to do, and what NOT to do based on the multitude of "experimental" videos released in '81 & '82. It was like an evolutionary process that slowly improved throughout the decade.
Early 80's MTV was awesome. The videos were often strange and artsy, like you say they took a while before the formula set in.
Please react to...
Def Leppard - Bringin' On the Heartbreak
ROCK OF AGES is like a rock anthem that would be great for a reaction.
Steve Clark was the heart and soul of Def Leppard. When he died they were never the same.
Their music completely changed when Steve died. So glad I got to see them twice before he died. I miss this DL
TRUE!!! They turn 2 damn poppy
True.
Yes!
In 1980, Mutt Lange dealt with the loss of Bon Scott. Nearly 10 years later, Lange dealt with.loss of Steve Clark. Unlike 1980, 1992 was a different time for music.
Pyromania was the 1st album I ever bought. (Yes, I’m old) Saw them live in 1987 with Tesla opening...amazing show.
I don’t give a damn what anyone says, their high and dry, and pyromania were their best work, when they put out hysteria I was crushed that they toned it down. You guys need to hear Let It Go off the high and dry album.
Love 'on through the night' too.!
me pyro 1,high and dry 2, hysteria 3.
Me and my wine baby!
I agree them all are great albums Lady Strange
They were metal/hard rock prior to Hysteria. Women was the only heavy song on that CD.
Takes me back to MTV 1983 summer of 83 im 16 yrs old and just rocking big time to Def Leppard 🤘🤘🤘 and saw this tour 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Awesome review to an awesome song. "Put happiness in my soul" 😆
Def Leppard No no no is another favorite of mine 🤘🏻
They haven't ended hon, they are still rocking, and still sounding great.
My favorite reaction in a long time. Good job.
Steve Clark was a very underrated guitarist.
Rip
Early MTV, 1982, I was 14, glued to MTV, growing my hair. This video was in the regular circulation. I've still got my cassette from here.
Notice the drummer still has both arms 😎
even tho I was born in the 2005 this is one of the greatest rock band I ever heard i can listen to def leppard all day no matter wat song it is frm them I can vibe to there song all day and night
Love you guy's! You do the best reactions to def leppard, my favorite band since 1982
The dawn of MTV and Friday Night Videos was so awesome with this song and this band! Ahhh....the memories~ 😊
Queensryche - "Queen of the Reich" (Live in Tokyo) if you haven't checked it out yet.
I wish more people would do that one. Especially vocal coaches.
I was 19 when these hits came out on MTV and the radio - 1983... ahh, the days. I just saw them in concert in 2018 and they STILL rock it. My brother and I went together and the traffic was so horrible (due to an overly long - like 5 minute - stop light) that we were running late to the concert. People got out of their cars (not the drivers) and started walking and we could hear through the woods, "Uh foo-foo-foo-foolin'!" (guitars) "Uh, foo-foo-foo-foolin'!" Oh, we were pisssssed! I'm going, "Goddammit!" My brother is like, "Mother-f'er!" lol But thankfully we did get to see them sing most of their best songs. But, yes, they are tops!
One of the very best drummers ever around from shawn Overton Rick Alan # 1
Ahh the 80’s pretty much ruled.
My favorite Def Leppard song, glad you guys reacted to it. Yes, the background vocals are epic. Plus, something to be said for lead vocals, not a vibrato in there, but still sounds great.
Favorite band ever. I love this song. Such a hard rock song.
This is my wife's favorite DL song.. fun to play on guitar, but they have so many great songs..My favorite DL song changes w/ my moods but Let it Go never gets old..
I had a crush on the singer,lol.
The memories🙂🎤🥁🎼
Seen them six times in concert.
I really recommend listening to the first two albums On Through the Night and High and Dry. Both are excellent and rock even harder
Agreed. I think On Through the Night, High and Dry, Pyromania were their best. I did not like anything they ever did after those first albums. Too bad, because I loved those three.
Krokus - Screaming in the Night
I was blessed to grow up in the 80’s it was the best music!!
You're talking about the drummer with the shorts, watch their later videos he only has one arm, he lost his left arm in a car wreck and had to set up a drum set using one arm
Awwwwh. Steve was still alive and Tony still had two arms. Fudge I love def Leppard and you guys. Lol
Who’s Tony?
@@kamps4835 holy sh*t, im going to blame auto correct for that *Rick
OMG my son was almost five when the 80s ended! This is one of the best bands ever!!!
Thx for the throwback you guys !!! When this came out I was helping build a garage and we played this cassette until it broke lol 🤘🏼💥🤘🏼
They had some wild things going on with this band and the ladies!
The 15 year old me is swooning all over again at Joe tied up at the beginning! LoL For me, the music of the 80’s can’t be beat! A year after this came out, Rick Allen (the drummer) lost his right arm in a car accident. The band waited on him to recover and relearn to play the drums with a specialized kit so he could use his feet to compensate for the arm he lost. I have so much respect for him and the band. True inspiration!!!
MTV TELEVISION BACK IN THE 80S I REMEMBER THE 80S
This is early 80's check him out drumming in the later 80's mind blown🤯
I was in the 6th grade when this album came out...still love it!!
I just miss the whole era. The sound and fun is unmatched. I would go back in a second.
Best years of my life growing up with all these bands. The friends were priceless. And I didn't worry about anything...
I love early Def Leppard!
So many great Def Lepard songs! My sister has been a major fan since the 80s. I got front row seats next to the catwalk for her 2 years ago. I went there liking them and left a fan. The kick f*cking ass live!!!!
I grew up in the 80’s…the best ever!
That time was big. Bigger than you can imagine
I grew up as a teenager in the 80s. When I was ten it was 1980. When it ended I was 19 about to turn 20.
First Lita now Def. You taking me down memory ln from my high school days.
FUN FACT: the drummer was in a car wreck and they had to amputate one of his arms. that didnt stop him from playing, they added some triggers to his drum kit and he kept rocking for years after....another one?? teh drummer got mad because while he was on stage doing his solo the rest of the band was in the back ummm 'talking' to the groupies in a big orgy of 'talking' and he never got to 'talk' to them during a show and finally if you listen to their song 'Love Bites' right at the very end of the song, if you turn the sound WAY up you can barely hear the words several words and then you hear 'jesus of nazareth go to hell' its very faint and it may only be on the vinyl or cassette since ive heard it on both but dont have the cd so i cant test that.
Rick Allen lost his left arm when he went through the sun roof cause of the faulty seatbelt and when he got to hospital they reattached but the drugs couldn’t kill the bacteria so they had to amputate that arm which was his left arm
I don't know if I would call the drummer losing his arm a FUN FACT. LOL.
I still remember the "world premiere" of that video when MTV actually played music videos
Damned.... that's remember wen i was young (56 year's old now, shit guys)
But at this time(1982), we was 6 "Metal's" friends on school (and with very long hair).......... sorry, i'm nostalgic every time with this old time (but i think you understand, right ?)
A big Thx for sharing your reaction...
Keep safe & salute from France
Great reaction. Many great ones from Def. Please do Too Late
Shit even a couple years back they were still rocking strong
I had a pair of shorts like those. I was a 15 year old drummer when this came out.
Song is impossible not to screech along to
Older DL kicks ass. They softened up over time. Please react to Let It Go from the High N Dry album, their best album. People that know DL's later music sometimes say they aren't metal. Let It Go ends that discussion.
i was 16 had them shorts and union jack shirt it was a must to have and dont forget the drummer has 1 arm now atill playing
Rick Allen had both arms, MTV played music videos and Def Leppard played "IN THE ROUND, IN YOUR FACE". I got to see them 6 times in the '80's... RIP Steve Clark.
Thank you thats my song of the 80s
Takes me back to when to most people if you could competently play guitar, it was like magic. Now, you get "Ok Dad" side eye.
That was awesome guys !
You guys should check out their concert live in sheffield 1993 for the lighting they had going on there in a live setting, just amazing i think you would enjoy it :)
Def Leppard was the shit for me as a teen. I ate that shit up with my big headphones
I remember when the drummer lost his arm. (We) Teenage girls were all bawling, thinking that was the end to our beloved Def Leppard. But he adjusted and learned to drum with 1 arm.
I am surprised you guys didn’t do their most iconic song... I think it was called “Rock of Ages”. I’m not complaining though, this was an excellent reaction. Thank you.
P.s. just subscribed. I’m loving your channel. I’ve been down The Wolf Hunterz rabbit hole tonight
Sigh...when Rick Allen still had two arms...just glad he's still alive.
Defleppard is one of the greatest Rockers of all times
Bringin on the heartbreak is a must
"Goin Down" by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck - legendary guitarists !!!
Notice in the later video's the Drummer lost his arm in a car wreck and he kept on playing in their early stuff he has his arm. One of the greatest bands ever lived. Steve was alive then to.
The 80s were FRICKIN' AWESOME DUDE!!!!! 💯😎🤘
Ik, I was there 💯, are u jelly yet? 😜💥☣️
Finally real def leppard Steve Clark the best ever!
Such a good song.
silly video, great song. loved the reaction, tnx guys. the leppard album i really love, pyromania...
The best music the 80s❤
I had the British shorts and tshirt i bought them@ the concert 🤘🤘🤘
God...when I was a kid, I wanted that black Ibanez Destroyer SO badly... ;-)
Oh my young ones... Love that you're getting your learn on. Def Leppard are great teachers. I would advise you get a copy of this album and listen to it. IMO this was their best. Hysteria was great, but Pyromania broke the mold of what a rock band should sound and look like.
My favourite guitarist, the late great Steve Clarke.. died 8th January 1991 aged just 30. So loved still.
`Brings back memories of being 13 in 1983, and binge watching MTV at night!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
TO LATE FOR LOVE!!! THE BEST LEPPARD SONG EVER!!!
I'd like to see a reaction to Boston's More Than A Feeling
Since you happen to like 80s music, try Dokken’s Dream warriors
"Goin Down" by legendary guitarists Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck. Killer jam !!!
I know a lot of old skool fans insist DL peaked with High’N’Dry, but I’m telling you: While they sold a shitload of copies of Hysteria, Pyromania is the album people will still be studying a hundred years from now. Not only is it pop perfection in the shape of hard rock, it clearly defined a decade, not just in terms of rock, but it influenced R&B (the deeply stacked backing vocals), and - by way of ”Mutt” Lange’s foray into Shania Twain’s career - country music. It is a classic album by any measure, and anyone serious about music production and songwriting should sit up and take notice. At least if they’re the tiniest bit interested in pop music, and what makes some records sell like nobody's business. Pure class.
This song is awesome
As a 16 year old living in NZ I had heard of Def Leppard but never actually heard any of their songs. We didn’t have MTV out here in little old NZ in the 80’s. I saw this song one day on a TV video show and was instantly blown away and have been a Def Leppard fan ever since.
If you wanted to really get the essence of the 80’s why not try a bit of Billy Idol? Rebel Yell would be a great starting point.
Only when I got to be 18 that's when I tried my first beer even though I tried wine when I was thirteen at that age given by my parents but it wasn't alot but a super small amount
