yeah... or who was that ref who was just skating around in circles after a big hit, running into players and shit? I mean the NHL has really good concussion protocols--players are safe, really safe when you consider the nature of the game, but there are always mistakes.

Actually not too bad in comparison with most sports. I believe I saw an article, that concussions are worse in women's hockey. In men's they are prepared to be hit (most of the time) so they look for that. Women aren't trained like that. These are just freak things. You can watch dozens of games without any injuries
