- One of the most impressive shots a tennis player can display is a dive at the net.
The agility, reflexes and slight bit of luck required make dive shots one of the most exciting aspects of the sport. - Sport
Dustin Brown is such and underrated player. He's so raw and intense on the tennis court, I love watching him play
if tennis was like this all the time id watch, the goalie in me is so hyped
Respect to the ones who dove on the hard courts
2:30 "what a c**t... wat a git!" hahaha
haha nice one. I think he tried to say "what a catch" but then corrected himself and said "what a get"

Great video!
A video like this without Monfils will be a sea without any fish or European history without genocide.

6:40 Does it count against you if your racquet touches the net while you aren't holding it?
Only if the ball hasn't yet landed on the opponent's side of the court.
Is it easier to dive on grass courts? I've only ever played on hard court so I don't know how grass courts feel
Well, hard court is concrete stone. Grass is soft dirt with a nice cozy layer of grass on it... I don't think you need to play both types to know which one falls softer ;-)
The dirt is not soft. It's packed very tightly so the ball will bounce, and so feels very hard when you fall. Have you played on a grass court?
kh2freek Well it's not as soft as a foam pit. But compared to all the other surfaces that professionals play on easily the most forgiving.
Clay is the most forgiving in terms of both how hard it is on the joints and the dangers of diving, both of these resulting from it being softer than cement and the dirt that grass courts are played on. That's why Nadal has pushed for more of the tennis season being on clay, because it is easier on the body. I have a feeling I'm talking to someone else that hasn't played on a grass court
And I am feeling you are talking out of your ass if you wanna take the conversation this route. Nadal pushing for it has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. Clay slows the game down, of course it is lighter on your body.
Anyway I played on grass, clay, hard and that carpet that some tennis halls use. With only the last one mentioned being softer as grass. Even Becker in the fucking interview points out that grass is soft and names it as his favorite to do it on. Besides my own experience who do I trust more? A former world class player or some random Joe youtube comment? Maybe you just had really shitty courts. So foh.
I thought a player should have dove the other night (US Open Semis) maybe it was Tiafoe I forget but it made me wanna look this up
Where is Lleyton Hewitt?
