Using those plugs that you soldered into place making everything so easy to service was sheer genius. I will be installing some 6x9 speakers and I will most likely adopt your technique. I just hope my local Princess Auto Store carries those plugs. If they do, it's a go. Thanks so much for this dynamite tip.
Glad you liked the idea 🙂
Thanks you helped alot. I was looking all over you-tube and nothing, then I found this
Glad the video helped you!
I like the part about not just saying not my problem, I hate when companies or people do or say that!
In my biz I alwayz try to avoid that and if I do end up cutting a corner or something will tell the customer it's not what I wld suggest doing but will work. So sometimes I will end up doing something that I just have to say not my problem but t sleep at night and ease my mind I have to be sure I told whoever it's for it's not the best way!
Thanks for watching!

U seem to do good work, do u suggest those connectors over the factory ones?
If my car already has the factory ford style adapter/connector wld u Sauter the cable to the speaker and just put that style connector on or make a short whip w that connector then have the otherside terminate into the factory one?
It wld go speaker that connector then whip then factory connector
Deutsch is my preferred connector now, but these are really simple and proven. Motorola still uses this type of connection to power some of their radios. czcams.com/video/dqy9h-Tnvvk/video.htmlsi=AjrYdSbMaE7ImSjm
Thank you for the video ! :) I hope i understood correctly but you said i can connect wires directly to the speakers with no harness? i want make sure to continue installing my new speakers because I am unable to find the right harnesses :)
You can put spade connectors or just solder directly on. I did the plug to make it easy to remove.
@@AnthonyJ350 thank you again will do that :) !!!!!!
@@nanocorde You're welcome
What is the plug called sir
2 pin trailer plug
Hello
I need your help
I am having a base variant car which did not provide any wiring as well as any infotainment
I have purchased a new infotainment and going to do the wiring
My question is - Can I directly connect tweeter and speaker to the door
Or i will need a crossover or amplifier to connect bass and tweeter
You need some sort of cross over device to limit bass that goes to the tweeter.
@@AnthonyJ350 thanks alot❤️
Hey man so i tried to connect my speaker harness to the speaker on those terminals but the positive bent and broke would doing this work still?
The terminal on the speaker itself? We're you pushing a spade connector on it hard?
@@AnthonyJ350 yep basically smh
@@masterpizza794 Ya it happens. You get a feel for when it's too much and you have to loosen the connector.
Sir which wire gauge use for hooks up car head units to speaker?
16 gauge is fine.
@@AnthonyJ350 if I add 18 gauge wire , it will effect to sound quality?
Could you please give us link for the connector for speaker & twetter
This is basically what I used www.amazon.ca/Connector-Single-Extension-Motorcycles-Tractors/dp/B08MLHYZ18/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?crid=2IV3TJYISROAW&keywords=2+pin+trailer+plug&qid=1646930458&sprefix=2+pin+tra%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-9
@@AnthonyJ350 With these connectors, the colors don't line up. How did you get yours to do that in your video?
@@cheevang3829 You can order these, just cut it in the middle and attach to the device you want www.amazon.com/dp/B096RVMCDK?ref=exp_anthonyj350_dp_vv_mw
Do these connectors come in a pack of 1 or 2?
@@hgfdksk17 Depends where you buy it from.
my '88 Mazda had speakers in the lower dash...worst place for them as all sound is pointed too your knees (or lower) . It's more off axis than door mounted speakers....
Thanks for the comment
Nice idea, but why on earth would someone need to service a speaker???
What if you have to repair a part in the door I.e. a power door lock or window regulator. You also might need to replace the weather striping by the window, replace glass, add sound deadening, maybe to body work from the inside etc.
Not necessarily the speaker but anything behind a plastic panel that the speaker mounts to. If I need to pull my plastic quarter panels covers for collision repairs or suspension modifications , I can pop the connector and leave the speaker in place
My problem is that the metal is too tight that I can’t even put it on
Just tin the tips and heat it up to connect.
